does this komo believe in magic?

of course she does. magic is what keeps everything doing, right? or at least, that's what mikino thinks. to her, magic is essentially what makes up the world. everyone's spirit has magic within it, good and bad. it's the soul's essence, what keeps it going.

it wasn't always like this for mikino though. before, she was a strong disbeliever. how could magic exist? why would it? but everything changed for her when her best friend died. the death was tragic; a tree during a rainstorm fell on her friend, pinning them down, unable to move. mikino could do nothing but watch in terror, paralyzed. after the fact, mikino mourned for days, feeling a bitter emptiness in her heart. the good was replaced with the bad. it was as if negative energy surrounded her wherever she went. she ended up trying to put herself into a coma, hoping that the torment would end. but it failed.

it was after then that she felt something different. something.. nice. positive. her friend. her friend's spirit, their magic, surrounded her, blocking out the negativity. the bad was replaced with the good. her friend had repaired her soul, and she knew it deep inside. so, mikino began to research magic. as she learned more and more, she became more interested. now, this komo is a heavy believer. magic is infused with her. it's part of her lifestyle, and has helped her be more humble and respectful. and she wouldn't want it to be any other way.

Corus does not believe in magic. Why believe in magic when there’s no scientific proof of it’s existence? Luck, maybe but superstition and all those tales of ghosts, goblins, witches and wizards. It’s all just stories to make young komo’s fall asleep faster. There was a time however, that young corus did believe in fairies that would grant your sugary wishes but that was all spoiled when corus was confronted by his father who didn’t believe in such fantasys. He branded it into his son’s head that magic and all those sorts were not to be tolerated and that they were just used to make young komo’s do what others wanted. Corus ever since hasn’t believed in such fantasies and has grown his own strong beliefs in other areas away from the subject of wizards or fairies.

does this komo believe in magic? although it might not be magic, at least, not in the traditional sense of the word, martin does believe that every place has its own energy. whether that energy is positive or negative depends on the events that have happened there in the past and the people and creatures that live there currently. additionally, martin believes that all people have a metaphysical connection to each other. however, this belief only came after the death of his younger sister, tania. growing up, the two were inseparably close, and even after she passed away from snake venom, martin continued to have vivid dreams of her. despite this, martin does not believe in supernatural creatures or necromancy or miracles. so no, martin does not believe in magic. he does not believe in fate or destiny or any predetermined path, only the path he has set out for himself.
