Whelp, this pretty much happened because I had that idea for horns and Mint gave me permission to see if I could make it work and still follow the rules P:
We needed more CNY-esque adopts anyway.
Those are complex horns. And yes, they are shaped like a rose. I might try this again too, I have another way I think it might work. But, eh, I'll save that for later (or maybe never, I might forget)

Anyway, this is going to be a pretty basic competition, but I'll allow for extras.

Story:
Her mother once told her that she was awefully good at baking, but then again that was the same mother who threw insults at her by the bakers dozen. Ruby Blue’s mother was no good for her confidence, as she was always nagging on her appearance.
“Your big ole horns are too small. They are only roughly smooth, so they aren’t shiny enough. Your bright blue eyes look so dull. Your coat has the darkest white! Your brushing job is completely unfinished! You are pretty ugly. A fine mess you are!”
Ruby Blue could never tell her mother’s intentions. She wasn’t sure if her mom was trying to acknowledge problems to improve her appearance or just put her down and make her feel bad. Unfortunately, it was not the former, but the latter. Her mother was whole-heartedly heartless.

Ruby Blue was driven to run away from her mother’s home. It was her only choice. She fled with only a few things packed. It was a bittersweet moment for her, looking back at the dark moonlight-filled house she knew so well. It was deafeningly silent, she was careful to not make a sound as she slowly ran from room to room. When she made any sound, she took a short wait before moving again. Ruby Blue appeared invisible even to those who purposefully listened for noises to hear. Her quiet presence was heartbreaking to herself. She couldn’t bear to say goodbye, she hated herself for leaving, but would hate herself even more if she stayed with her cruelly honest mother.

The demons in Ruby Blue’s mind, the ones her mother had put there, told her she would be alone forever if she left. But she knew her mother wouldn’t be able to find another mate- she drove them all away.
“We’ll be alone together then.”

Ruby Blue opened the front door, bag over her shoulder, and she stepped outside.
With a tear in her eye, Ruby Blue took a deep breath in, then let a sigh out as she exhaled.

The first free breath.

Sweet agony it was, sweet agony.
