Story:
Dawn is a busy kalon with not enough patience to sit and read. Rather than picturing stories from a book, Dawn loves to listen to music and imagine impossible scenarios to help them calm down and sleep. Their favorite scenario is that of being a cosmonaut adrift in space in a shuttle large enough for just them. They find peace imagining floating in an observation room and watching as they float past planets, galaxies, and nebulae in a place where time doesn't exist and the universe is theirs to explore. No gear or suit is needed should Dawn feel the urge to leave the shuttle and float through a nebula that appears so soft and more colorful than anyone can imagine. The deeper into space they travel, the more Dawn relaxes and eases into sleep. As the not-so-lost cosmonaut, they continue their journey and visit abandoned planets with breathtaking landscapes and remnants of civilizations long past. They can dance with the stars, watch alien sunrises, and smile as the lack of light pollution and their imagination conjures up a night sky filled with so many stars they can see the curvature of the planet and might as well be in a snowglobe. As they return to their ship and drift off into the unknown, Dawn drifts off to sleep.

“They say the ocean moves when people sail her, she carries them to places never seen before.
Well, our captain, Captain Lyrci, he would know. Although Lyrci was a wild, boorish fellow... he was soft at heart.
Lyrci traveled the seven seas meeting monsters, causing mayhem, swimming with sirens... until one day squalls came through. His ship was wrecked- his crew awashed.
But dear Lyrin, that did not stop our hero Lyrci.
Lyrci searched and searched for his crew- sweeping the countless seas- enlisting the help of the whales, the mantas, and yes even those lovely sirens... but alas they could not find his crew.
Lyrci only ever knew the sea... so sail he did. Charting the vast, scrawling and cold sea. The sirens no longer saw his teddy-bear heart... for the sea had stolen his crew. Alone on his ship he charted the nights, the stars, each constellation a friend.
Lyrci drew up the stars and the seas, dear Lyrin, and stop he did not for those little sprites... nor the whales and the managed or the sirens and mermaids... He knew his friends must remain.
At the ends of the earth he would meet them, as he would meet me, on a small islands lovely breeze.
Lyrci found once more his teddy bear heart, his puppy dog eyes, that loving kind soul. But my lovely Lyrin, he did not find his crew here in the forests, but in those soft twinkling stars... You must journey those oceans, gather his crew, finish what he began.
Do not be afraid, gentle soul, for the ocean has called you so, Lyrci has wished it to be, chart the stars and love the seas... it’s where you were meant to be.”

With that, the old motherly kalon tucker her kit in, kissed her forehead and let her drift into sleep... the stars could wait just one night for her beloved. Goodnight, Lyrin.

Story: Once upon a time, in a magnificent world much like ours, lived two kits. They were like sister that lived on opposite parts of the world. One saw the world as a cruel and hard place where it was always survival to the fittest. Her name was Mallory, she lived in muddy swamps. Creatures and danger lurked in the area that were unhealthy and unsanitary. Each day was a challenge, and sometimes she and the ones that lived there would go without food and water for days. The other kit viewed the world as gentle place filled with love and harmony. Her name was Felicia, she was granted a life filled with the essential and more. Both kits never dreamed of an entirely opposite place to be on the world they called home.

One day, Mallory grew tired and frustrated with the way her life was, she wanted to find a beautiful place where her worries would fade. She set out to find that beautiful place. On the other hand, Felicia realized that there may be others out there that are struggling, so she made up her mind to go and help seek these people. Sitting back and enjoying life while others may struggle would be a tragedy. She wanted to make a difference and to help them. Together with opposite minds but the same hearts, they met eventually.

Mallory sighed, she’d traveled for hundreds of miles, it was all confusion and frustration in the swampy forest’s she lived in. Suddenly she saw a light shining up ahead. Was that a flower, she’d heard tales of a plant called a flower, it was said to bring fortune and happiness to those upon it. Filled with a feeling she’s never felt, hope, she ran up through the forest and straight towards the light.

Felicia walked through the endless spring meadows, she sung with the birds and watched the flowers sway in the wind. She started to feel doubt that maybe that the world she grew to know was all there was. Suddenly she saw something in the distance that didn’t look like meadow. It looked like a forest. Her eyes lit up, could this be what she had been searching for.

Mallory ran out of the forest, greeted by a sweet aroma, she squinted in the bright light before gazing upon a meadow. Something she had never seen before, and there not to far away was Felicia. The two were almost destined to meet each other, they learned of each other’s past and worked together to make a better one. They learned that, sometimes instead of looking for a beautiful place, you can make a place beautiful. They created a beautiful place where both sides merged together and with teamwork and hope, anything was possible,and they all live happily ever after, the end.
