Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

Why this name?: Haru in Japanese means "Spring" , not only this , but to me this world is really powerful. Not only my cat was named after this season (since she was born in the first day of spring, only her, the only cat that survived from that litter) , but that was the season I first got to really know and travel to Japan. I can only say that the view is beautiful and if you guys have the chance to travel in that season, GO. Winter is pretty rad as well The shine in that Kal really reminds me of the flowers I always found when going to Aeon and taking the shortcut inside a small forest, the colors reminded me of the sunset skies at this season as well !

Why this name?: Shinobazu is the name of a large pond in the middle of Ueno Park in Tokyo, Japan that's famous for its lotus flowers. I remember it specifically because I went to Ueno Park Zoo at the tail end of spring and the beginning of summer and there's a big pond right in the middle of the zoo. It was covered in big blooming lotus flowers that sprinkled the whole pond in purple and green. The shades on this kalon remind me of those lotus flowers.

Name: Bella di Notte (also goes by the nickname Belle!)
Why this name?: Mirabilis jalapa, the "marvel-of-Peru", or the four-o'-clock flower, is a night blooming flower which comes in a variety of colors, including white, pink, and violet. This flower has many common names, one of which is Bella di Notte in Italy. I chose this flower specifically because the design on the kalon looked a beautiful shade of dusk, like the sun setting, whilst a certain flower only starts blooming at that time. I thought it was a nice concept to cover why the kalon was colored as such, and why it has a flower pattern on its tail. ^^
Additionally, bella di notte in Italian means "beautiful during night", which I thought was a lovely meaning for the kalon's name. c:
