urban legend: Years ago, a young Kalon had strayed away from her father during Halloween night. She was far too excited, getting whisked away into a group of other kids as they traveled from house to house. Her worries fell away when she saw others she considered to be friends, though all was not as it seemed. They lead her further and further from the neighborhood, away from other children and their parents. Before she knew what was happening, she found herself in a dark forest. Leaves crumbled and crackled against their thudding paws, the dull flashlights doing little to guide their way as they tumbled over sticks and roots of trees. Moonlight streamed in between the trees, casting menacing shadows that made the young Kalons tremble as their fear grew.
