as you guys know, it's pride month, and the kalon staff have decided to celebrate by making kalons for the different identities!
this is a sapphic inspired kalon, a simple design for a simple flag!

for those that don't know sapphic is a term for someone who is a lesbian, or relates to lesbianism. pretty much just a broad term for women-loving-women.

I'd like you to tell me what love means to this kalon, in either 500 words max or one art piece
- the art can be traditional
- gifs are allowed
- you have one extra of either 200 more words or another art piece
- no comics (words in the picture are allowed)
- prettying up + linking a song is okay!
- will be judged based off of creativity and originality!
- quality over quantity - I prefer short things well written over long and fluffy stuff
- extra can be something other than art or writing (ex. a mood board)

[ What does love mean to you? ]

Falling in love is similar to falling in a big pool of warm chocolate. It's exciting, warm, and engulfing.

Falling in love is probably the best thing that can emotionally happen to a human being. It's a wonderful feeling. You're in 7th heaven. You're happy, at peace, and satisfied with your partner.

At first, unrelenting focus. Everything becomes about the other, nothing else matters - the smallest things become a trigger for a thousand lyrical images; it's like synesthesia for anything related to that person - misread words, misheard names, they all cause a tumbling rush of blood to the head.

And then protection - the most important thing in your life is suddenly something you have no control over, it is both terrifying and somewhat comforting, in the way that you now have something to stand for.

For many people, (assuming you're actually with the person you love) at some point there's also disbelief, a waking daze - your life has gone from mundane to magic, and no matter whether you feel you deserve it or not, it's a massive shift you couldn't really prepare for.

And finally, there is togetherness - a stable state where the other person is just part of you, where you don't think about them all day long, but are still surprised, shocked, and delighted at their continued existence with you.

To love is so startling it leaves... The heart intensely desiring more in a way that you wish had never stopped. In that ecstatic instant your heart could have stopped beating in that moment and it would have mattered, you would be happy.
"So" said she, in the same hurried passionate whisper..."I speculate time does not stop for us to savour, it keeps moving forward so we can create millions more." And then they danced, well, if you could consider it dancing.
They, who didn't smell the fire burning, moved as though they didn't feel the world crashing down around them, and they didn't, too engrossed by each other, wishing they could be be...together for eternity. Little did the young lovers realise, with the halo of hell burning ferociously, soon they would be. At the pinnacle of midnight the fire had destroyed everything in it's path, now mimicking the lovers.
Slightly more concious presently the lovers accepted their fate and we elated about the eternity to look forward to together.

"Eternal slumber...my love, is just the beginning of our journey." assuredly declared the young madam.

"I concur... " replied the young sir as they were engulfed in flames.
