Kalons-- a species with soft manes and even softer hearts.

Monitored in forests across the globe for years, these animals
have recently been declared naturally tame as well as sapient.
Scientists are asking the general population to consider adopting
Kalons for further study in their capabilities of intelligence.

Their shining tails are used for identification and showing off,
which is helpful when spotting another Kalon from afar. This
association with other Kalons is why they are head-over-heels
for any shiny or colorful item that they come across!

paiva's dream was to become an astronaut.
an astronaut that will be unforgettable.
an astronaut that will be remembered for what
she had done.
paiva had always admired space, ever since a little kid.
sometimes she would stay up all night with her telescope
and stare at the beautiful sky and imagined what else
was out there that her telescope didn't allow her to see.
she made a promise to herself that one day she would
see space for herself. see what else lies about that she
is not able to see from her little telescope. the light of her
life is.. space. she knows there's so much more out there
that's yet to be discovered, and one day, she hopes she
can discover something brand new. something that will
shock everyone. but for now, she's content with her old,
rusty telescope.

"daaad!" paiva cried out, hoping he could hear her. he came out in a hurry, hoping nothing was wrong. she smiled up at him and began to talk, "you know, dad.. i wanna be just like you one day." her smile became even brighter, "up in space! with no worries in the world!" it was her dad's time to grin. "but i really missed you when you were up there.. promise you're not going back?"

"i promise. i'm here to stay with my family that i love way too much." he chuckled and kissed her head, staring up at space.

It was on the streets that Ljósálfur first heard the divine sound of bowed strings.

This inspired her to learn violin.

The smooth, flowing motions of the bow perfectly suited her paws, but something was off. The high pitched squeaks and small size of the instrument just didn't click with Ljósálfur. Yet, it remained her faithful companion.

It was not until years later she discovered the violin's cousins, the viola and cello.

While viola was much too alike the violin, she would never forget the first cello note she heard.

And with that, the cello's deep voice became her own.
