I steal physical hearts.

You look at him incredulously, and he chuckles.

Oh, no, not people's hearts. I steal little plastic,
or wooden, or glass hearts.

You rub your eyes in confusion. What do you need
all those hearts for? you question, still not quite
understanding.

He chuckles again. Well, most of the hearts I sew
into teddy bears I steal, and I give them to
orphans and kits in the hospital. He smiles. No one
needs to know I stole them, and why would they
suspect me? I'm a nice guy, really, I am. What's a
few hundred hearts and teddy bears a year when
it makes kids happy?

You open your mouth to speak, but he cuts you off.

And it's not just kids, either. I give 'em to heart-
broken girls too, on Valentine's Day, or whenever
their significant others decide to break their hearts.

Well, that is kind of you... you allow, shifting slightly
in your seat. But what will you do if you ever get caught?

He grins. I won't, he says confidently before standing
and walking away with a calm swagger.

I have one last problem, that makes me feel different from others. I have ADHD! A sometimes a hard time to control myself when impulses hit. You see, I refer to it as having a second brain! If I'm doing something, I easily get distracted. That's when my fore-mentioned ''second brain'' comes on! Wahh, it makes it hard for me to stop myself from doing pretty passive things such as stealing! Which is why I feel oh so bad for doing so to Mad Hatter! Apart from that, I have a hard time concentrating and sticking to one task. Since my disorders aren't too bad, I've turned to hands-on activties such as sewing and knitting! It really keeps me moving and interested! <3

It's not that big, no one will notice. I hope.

The crystal's perfected edges danced with the light of the sun as they played. She held it in her paw, her back turned from the door as she turned it over. It's perfection. She thought to herself, quickly glancing behind her. The sharp edged mineral was not the first thing she had stolen, it was as she told herself, the last. The collection of items had grown so large that her many satchels could not hide them all. She was very tempted by things that looked high quality and had been made by masters even though she knew she could not actually afford the real price that had been set. So she stole them, one by one until her stash made a large lump under her bed.

The creaking of paw steps made her fur jump on edge and she sat in silence, hiding the small gem next to the plump belly she possessed.

No one would suspect her of course, she had spent nearly two years building her fake personality of the sweet, chubby girl who could talk for hours on end and charm any boy who passed. She was too kind, too thoughtful they would say when they were told news of robberies. She could never do that. What they did not know was that she was greedy and a hoarder, that would hide away in her room to think of the next item to take and the next and the next. So she stayed quiet as the footsteps passed her level of stairs. A breath was released slowly from her chest. The opaque item in her hands came back into view as she admired it, eyes entranced by the glittering angles.

If you'd like it to be put plainly . . . hearts.

Sola has stolen hearts―not the actual, physically beating things though―that's a bit more tedious work.
Although she's been offered extremely high bribes for her skill in swiping the real-deal hearts, all have been turned down with a crookedly bashful grin, the nervous flick of a peculiarly shaped ear, and a rather grandeur swooping "no" gesture.

But, instead more of the non-tangile kind of hearts. Although it's still partly tangible . . .
It's a tricky business and therefore not exactly a whole lot of fun. Not to mention the fact that Sola does so much mental work in her job and nearly nothing physically, she always ends up exhausted—hence, she succumbs to her tired hunger and is capable of wolfing down liberal amounts of junk foods and what-not. It's too bad she hates fruits and vegetables and has quite a terribly strong sweet tooth.

Here's the breakdown.
1- Someone hires her to steal a heart or perhaps multiple hearts.
2 - The Kalon who's is the housing of the occupant heart is pointed out to her.
3 - Sola's task commences in which she is required to steal the heart (sometimes it's deepest desires, sometimes it's deepest secrets, etc.)
4 - She return to the informant with the stolen heart's non-tangible ingredients within a tangible container. In most cases, this is a paper-cut-out or plastic-cut-out in the shape of a heart.

No one knows how she does it. How does she retrieve such things from the hearts of Kalons? The world may never know as it has always been left in the dark. All the world knows is how useful this is during the season of love . . .

Of course, Sola is prepared for these types of things in her field of work. Anticipating a sudden increase in interest in her business, she sets a requirement that must be met in order for her to accept a request. You must pay in tarts. And not just any tarts, in stolen tarts.

Here's what you need to know about that . . .
Once, long ago, Sola used to work in the castle among royalty and the higher class. But, she had mangled a heart's deepest desire once and it was supposedly the king's. The queen was the one who employed her to do this for her and in her rage due to her failure, he cast her out.
Sola never forgot the castle and the life she might've known if only she hadn't been so curious and tried to save a bit of the king's heart (the deepest desire) for herself, just in case she had told herself. But, this cost her as her stupidity was the cause of her destruction.

Although Sola's modest enough to accept this for herself, she still feels quite bitter towards the queen who had entreated the job to her in the first place. She'll also never forget how downright delicious the tarts made by the royal chefs. So, any who wishes for her to return to them with the deepest desire of another's heart (during the season of love) must pay the price.

Steal her a plate of tarts from the castle's kitchen and she'll accept.

It's hilarious, really!
