General Event Rules:

• All CS and DVF Rules Apply.

• Be respectful and nice to both staff and all CS users.

• Try to stay on topic in this event thread and in the
adoption thread. Questions can be asked here or sent
via PM. No mini-modding or bumping.

• All challenges/forms for the mini-games will be dis-
qualified if posted after the event has ended.

• You DVF must be in a clan for at least a week with
it's current rank before qualifying for a promotion.

• If you do not finish the required minimum for
your adoption, the DVF will be revoked and put up
for re-adoption after the event is over with.

Event Adoption Rules:

• You can only adopt one event DVF in this event. All DVF summer event adoptions are slotless - they will not count towards your owning limit.

• You will be assigned a DVF via random generator. Do not whine if you did not get the DVF you wanted.

• Trading or switching DVFs with another person is not allowed. If you do not like the DVF you were assigned, put it for re-adoption.

• You are not allowed to be added to a DVF ref until the event is over with. A artist will give you the color codes if you need them.

• You ARE allowed to participate in the CYOA event with a DVF that you already own if you don't want to adopt a Summer Event DVF. You are required to create a separate thread for the event posts and replies.

Inappropriate content that is against CS and/or DVF rules will led to an immediate and nonnegotiable disqualification, as well as a permanent ban from the Delta Velorum Fox species!

Important Note:

Delta Velorum Foxes are a wild, highly intelligent fox species on their own planet. There are no cars, humans, cities, ect. Delta Velorum has never been inhabited by humans nor seen any of their technology before. DVF's however are very intelligent and can create their own weapons (no guns please!), accessories, bags, potions/elixirs ect.

Ａｄｏｐｔｉｏｎ， Ｉｎｆｏｒｍａｔｉｏｎ ａｎｄ Ｇｒｏｕｐｓ.

Each adoption in this event will be some form of purebred dog theme! Each artist is randomly assigned a dog breed group and from there they will make a DVF based on the breed theme of their choice. All DVFs within this event will start with a harness and collar, and all artists are allowed to make up to one DVF without any edits.

Whatever your player marker color you choose will be the same color as your assigned DVFs collar and harness. You will have no idea which DVF you will be assigned to - you are free to choose the group but everything else is completely random! All event DVFs will be covered until assigned to someone.

The DVF will not be considered yours until you have completed the minimum requirements! If the requirements are not made by the end of the event, the DVF will be revoked and placed for re-adoption.

How to Play:

After you have been assigned a DVF and you've finished your introduction post, you can start your way on completing the map and going through the checkpoints. You can complete one checkpoint/path per day during this event, and it's best not to reserve more then one post in the DVF's thread. The artist that made the DVF or another assigned staff member will be the narrator of sorts, you need to corporate with them and wait for their post before moving onto the next area.

With the multiple choices given by the artists or assigned staff member, you can only choose one option- and once chosen you cannot edit, change your mind, or try to turn back (unless the option is given in the next round). Depending on the checkpoint you're at, there maybe a scenario (fallen tree, bad weather, bear attack ect). Scenarios are hinted before hand so you're not unprepared for it.

By default an artist will be in charge of all the checkpoints and such of the DVF that they've made. If an artist does not make their reply within a week after the person made theirs, another staff will take over.

After a traveling the entire day you have reached the first checkpoint. It appears that the trail splits two ways. The sun is setting fast and the sent of rain is in the air, bad weather might be on the way. Make camp, and choose your path in the morning.

As a reward for finishing the checkpoint and moving on the person will get a random number of Gems , and depending on their choices they can get items and/or pets as well. If they reach the end there will always be a nice bonus with a random item.

Maps and Difficulty:

Map One - Easy. 1-20 random gems per checkpoint/trail. 25 words starter minimum per post.
Map Two - Medium. 20-50 random gems per per checkpoint/trail. 100 words starter minimum per post.
Map Three - Hard. 50-100 random gems per per checkpoint/trail. 200 words starter minimum per post.

Player Markers:

Each person, no matter if you choose to adopt or participate with a DVF you already own, will have a player marker on the maps. Your marker shows exactly where you are located, and is moved with each checkpoint you complete. Your player marker is the same color as your DVF's collar and harness - No two player markers have the same color.

In Game Events:

• Dead End - Forces you to turn around and head back to the last checkpoint you were at. Make your DVF tired (unable to take a hidden path in your current map).
• Hidden Grove / Hidden Areas - A beautiful hidden location that few have discovered. Always has a hidden path in it.
• Hidden Path - Cannot be used if the DVF is tired. Skips one checkpoint.
• Bad Weather - Depending on the map; bad weather may cause you to become sick, weak, or even [temporarily] cripple. Stacks with every new map if not properly protected, Ups your word count minimum each time (level 3 will add art to your requirement as well).
• Creature Attack - If you have a dagger you can defend yourself. Gives you a injury (adds 50 extra words to the minimum) but gives your DVF up to 4 custom drawn scars.
  
  Tip: If you are located in a camp, it's best to check out the Traveling market! The traveling market sells goodies that can come very handy within the game. The traveling market is only open if you're in a camp - once you move to the next checkpoint it'll remain closed until you reach the next camp.

I don't like the DVF I was assigned, can I swap it or trade it for a different one?

No. If you don't like the DVF you were assigned it is best to put it for re-adoption to give someone else a chance to love it.

Why are there two different joining forms?

During this event you have two options to give everyone freedom in choosing what they want. Some people may want to participate in the CYOA event but not adopt, while others may want to adopt a event DVF.


• If you choose to adopt a event DVF, you cannot participate with a DVF you already own.
• If you choose to participate with a DVF you already own, you cannot adopt - but you will still get all the goodies from the maps. Your DVF will never be put up for re-adoption since it is not a event DVF.

Am I allowed to reserve, mark, or post on another persons Event DVF thread?

No, unless the person has completed ALL trials and says they allow posting. Or if the event is over with. By default the only people who can post in an event DVF's page is the person who was assigned to the DVF and staff members.

What is the minimum requirement in order to keep my Event DVF?

You are required to at least complete Three trials (listed below) in order to be able to keep your Event DVF. We of course would love to see everyone complete all the trials and maps but you need to complete at least these three in order to qualify to keep the DVF.


• Joining - Signing up (you start here!)
• Introduction - Completed form with information about the DVF. Can be basic or detailed as much as you want.
• Map Completion - Finish all or most checkpoints in the first map and make it to the second camp. First map as around 5-6 checkpoints, not including Dead Ends/Hidden Areas/Hidden Trails. Some checkpoints can be skipped.

Hey! Why has my Event DVF been put up for re-adoption?!

A Event DVF will be put up for re-adoption for the following:

• You have been banned from the event for breaking the CS,event, and/or normal DVF rules.
• The DVF was not claimed or assigned to a person.
• The DVF's owner did not complete or fully complete the minimum requirement.

Am I allowed to re-name the DVF after I filled the form out?

Once it's named, it's set for good (unless that name was already taken). In order to re-name it, you need to get a Name Tag item. Always check the archive to make sure your name is not taken already first.

This rule applies for the gender as well. You are required to choose the gender before you are assigned to a DVF, and once set it cannot be changed.

Why do I see a few DVFs without any edits?

All Staff members are allowed to make up to one DVF without any edits (not including customs). All are still required to give a Event DVF a Collar and Harness.

Market and Items

This is the traveling market; alternatively named 'the stall managed by an angry and short brown fox'. Here you can buy whatever you want or need, with a tiny fee of course. Have a look around, see what interests you. These are all useful in some way when your traveling in a map, but you can't buy anything until you reach a camp. Anyhow, have fun and don't touch anything you're not gonna buy.

PSA to the artists: you have to put any item's icon on the DVF's main page to show what exactly they have.

Saddle Bag - Gives the you 3-4 inventory slots and gives extra options to gather items to sell.

Cloak - Keeps you warm and prevents you from getting sick/weak from bad weather.
