Milo gave it to her on one of her birthdays, it's not actually made out of bones, it's made out of some kind of odd plastic.
She found them all one day, throw out in a trash bin. So she kept them.
Milo gave it to her one day, saying that it was a best friend necklace, and it kinda matched his ear feathers.
A gift from her mother, Kida has had it ever since she was a Viscling.
Kida has a weird thing to collect beads, so she decided to wrap them around her tail and her mom gave her the big on her tail.
A young Kida was digging through a human trash bin, hoping to find more beads. She had a weird knack for collecting beads. Maybe it came from her mom -- Kida's earliest memory was of her mother giving her cloth around her leg. It was to make sure that she was protected and that her mother could always find her, but as time when on, she kept it with her. Kida had a strong bond with her mother. Her mother gave her the big bead that she was currently wearing on her tail. She smiled brightly as she found some beads, and crawled out of the small bin. She grinned and began to string them right there and then, happily finishing and putting it around her tail. Kida smiled radiantly and began to race back home, hoping to show her mom.

A few years later Kida had grown into a nice teenage viscet. She raced into the human city, hoping to find a few more beads for her tail. She found a nice big trash bin, and she crawled into it. Kida turned her nose up to any of the smells, since she had a thing for dumpster diving. She loved to collect objects; beads being her favorite kind. Kida spotted something gold at the very bottom, so she started to throw things out of the bin in order to get to it. She grinned as she grabbed the items, and found out that they were bracelets. Kida curiously held them as she tried to crawl out of the bin, but she fell out of it, landing on something soft. "Hey!" It said, upset. Kida jumped and backed off, racing behind the trash bin. She put one of the bracelets on her paws, then the others on her tail quickly, so as to make sure she wouldn’t to lose them. Kida peeked her head around the corner, spotting another viscet. It was a brown male. She calmed down, as she had originally thought it was going to be an angry human. Kida hid behind the trash bin, not sure what to think of the male viscet. The brown viscet gathered his gears, feathers, and pieces of parts that he had dropped when Kida fell on him. The brown viscet sighed when he was done and started to dig in the bin, looking for parts. He quickly poked his head out, turning up his nose.
"I hate this portion of finding parts..." He muttered. Kida curiously watched him before trying to sneak away. The brown viscet spotted Kida and she started to run.
"Hey!" He said. "Stop!" The brown viscet called out and sighed, racing after her and easily catching Kida.
"I'm not going to hurt you!" The brown viscet exclaimed, trying to keep her still. Kida heavily breathed, panicking in the arms of the brown viscet.
"Let me go!" She yelled at him, scared.
"I'm really not going to hurt you! Calm down!" He replied, snorting. Kida slowly stopped struggling in his arms and the brown viscet let her go.
“Sorry about scaring you, I really didn’t mean it.” The brown viscet frowned. “Sorry about that…” He added.
Kida still wasn’t too sure, and she continued backing away from him. “….mh…” She muttered, being wary of the stranger.
The brown viscet sighed. “Anyways….um…My name is Milo.” He said and grinned. “I was looking for parts for my flying machine I’m building! I truly didn’t mean to scare you!”
Kida blinked and grinned. “F-Flying machine?” She asked. Kida had always dreamed of flying; to be free up in the sky with the birds and to join them in flight. She had always dreamed of it since she was little.
Milo nodded, grinning back at her. “Yup! A flying machine, it’s been my dream to fly up in the sky with the birds!”
Kida’s worries melted away. “I always dreamed of flying up there with the birds too, but I would never think of building a flying machine! You’re a genius Milo!”
Milo seemed to blush a little. “Well….um….thank you…um….you didn’t tell me your name…” He muttered.
Kida smiled and chuckled lightly. “Kida, that’s my name.”
And that was only the start of the best friendship they could ever hope for.

“Hey Kida!” Milo cheerfully shouted from inside his workshop. It was Kida’s birthday today and he hoped he got the best present of them all.
Kida had been waiting outside the workshop for Milo to finish up. She was so pleased to finally hear his voice; she had been sitting outside in the hot summer sun and it seemed like it had taken him forever. She joyfully hopped to her feet and raced inside.
Milo grinned and happily shoved a present in her face as his best friend came into the workshop.
Kida rolled her eyes. “Needed to shove it in my face, eh?” She asked and Milo gave her a cheeky smile as she opened up the box with the bird wrapping paper on it. In the medium sized box was a bird skull. Kida looked at it strangely before grinning. “Milo…it’s….it’s lovely.” She beamed, gently putting it on her head.
Milo blushed a bit. “I got it custom made for you; it’s made out of some type of odd plastic.” He shrugged. “I’m not sure what kind.” He chuckled nervously, looking at Kida.
Kida chuckled and hugged Milo, making sure not to poke him in his eye with her new head gear. “Thank you Milo. It’s perfect.” She smiled.
Milo sighed happily, hugging his best friend back. “You’re welcome Kida.”

Kida happily walked to Milo’s house, humming quietly. It had been a while since she had seen her best friend; she had collected feathers for him and parts for his flying machine, but every time she dropped them off Milo wouldn’t be there. She’d just got the letter today from him saying that he would finally be there at noon. Kida felt the beads on her tail and smiled, fixing the bird skull on her head as she when up to the small house that Milo called his workshop. She walked up to the door and knocked, but before she even got to the second knock, Milo came racing up to her and was ecstatic as could be. “KIDA!” He grinned. “I did it!”
“You….you did what?” Kida asked, confused and looking at her best friend like he was mad, which was only slightly true.
Milo chuckled. “I built it and it works!” He grinned again, dragging her off to the big section of his workshop, almost tripping over some parts, and pointing at his flying machine as he got into the room. “I flew it for eight whole seconds!” He proclaimed proudly.
Kida blinked and beamed, joyfully hugging him. “You did?! Can I try it out?” she asked, wanting to try to at least fly for about five or six seconds, or even longer than eight.
Milo nodded and began to hook her up to all sorts of safety devices. “Go outside to the big tree -- you know which one. I’ll be right out.” He smiled, tapping her head gear.
Kida smiled, happy to try and fly. She raced outside to the big tree, feeling the green grass on her back paws, and Milo came racing out after her with the flying machine right behind him. He hooked Kida up to it and shooed her up the tree. “Once you’re on the biggest branch, just jump off!”
Kida climbed up the tree with the heavy flying machine on. “You need to make this lighter Milo…” She muttered down the tree to her best friend. She reached the biggest branch and blinked, slightly scared. “What if it doesn’t work Milo?” She asked.
“I tested it myself! Plus I’m here to catch you if you do fall!” Milo called up the tree.
Kida sighed, putting her life into the hands of her best friend. “Alright….” She muttered and took a deep breath before racing off the edge of the branch. She slowly opened her eyes after a moment and saw that she hadn’t crashed right into the ground. She was flying! Well, not really. It was more like she was gliding down. She landed softly after a few seconds of being in the air. “Milo!” She grinned and raced over to him, exhilarated after her flight. “You did it!”
Milo blushed slightly and smiled happily. “You flew for about seven seconds, just one second behind me! And thank you…it’s been my dream…forever to fly…and I’m getting closer and closer.”
Kida smiled. “Well, congrats! I’m proud of you Milo!” She replied, hugging her best friend.
Milo smiled and hugged her back. “Oh! Oh yes! I forgot!” He muttered and suddenly raced back to his workshop, coming back a moment later. He handed her a necklace with a few feathers on it. “It’s a best friend necklace.” He grinned, pointing to his feathers on his ear. “It matches them. Best friend tokens!”
Kida blinked and gently took it, putting it around her neck and softly smiling. “T-Thank you Milo…” She hugged him again. “Thank you best friend…”

Kida raced off to Milo’s workshop, since she had gotten a letter stating something interesting. She felt that it was cooler out today than it was normally. She took a deep breath before knocking on his door, playing with her feather necklace and fixing her bird skull.
Milo quickly opened the door and shoved a tiny purple viscet in her face, which gave Kida a scare.
“Milo, you have to stop shoving things right in my face!” Kida snorted before noticing it was a tiny viscet that her best friend shoved in her face. “Um….”
Milo smiled slightly. “I found him a few days ago….cold and very hungry… I don’t think his parents…well... are around anymore.” He frowned as the tiny purple viscet pawed at Kida’s bird skull. “I named him Nebula.” He smiled. “He even calls me daddy now!”
Kida’s heart melted and smiled. “That’s adorable Milo…” She replied.
“I’m hoping….that….um… you could help me take care of him.” Milo rubbed the back of his head.
Kida smiled and nodded. “I’d be glad to.” She replied, happily taking the little viscet and hugging him as the little Nebula looked up at her and called her “Mommy.”
Kida’s life….it was full of surprises…but Kida hoped her life would stay like that. She liked it that way.
