At birth he was always playful. But at the pound he was sad, depressed and scared. He hated how the boys and girls that walked in teased him. Even the staff had passed of snide remarks about his fur pattern. The day he was to be out down, he actually accepted his fate. But the little girl saved him, giving him back his spark of happiness that he thought had left him forever.


Demo was abandoned by his parents at a young age. Their pack had thought he was an abomination and a disgrace. They took him to the edge of the forest, leaving him there to fight for himself. At first, he thought this was a game and ran around happily, but after a whole day, he had realized no one was coming back and he was alone. The next day, a human had found him and taken him to the pound. He spent most of his years there. All the children that had came only made fun of how he looked. But on his tenth year there, the staff had decided he was to be put down. The placed a collar on his neck and attached him to a leash and started dragging him to the back room. He had heard the cries that cane from any animal that went in there. A tear slid down his face as they got closer and closer to the room. The staff reached out to open the door but was stopped by a loud cry. "Stop!" Demo turned his head, seeing a little girl in the isle and running towards him. When she got to him, he thought she would tease him about his markings, but he was wrong. She had reached out and scratched him under the chin. In response to this, he let out a purr. "You're beautiful." she said with a soft and caring tone in her voice. Demo's eyes widened slightly. No one had ever said that. The girl turned, calling out to her mother in the isle. "Can I have this one?" The mother gave a worried look towards the Viscet but smiled. That day he went to a home, he escaped death and found the first and only person that had ever called him beautiful.
