Item/Accessory; When Kylie was a young plumie, she was taken to her very first carnival. There she ate cotton candy and played faire games as she wandered around the lit-up night of festivities alone. She watched, slightly jealously, as other plumies trotted around the games and snack stands together, laughing and chattering into the night sky.
Late into the night, at the ring-toss stand, Kylie happened to win a small stuffed animal. It had been pure chance, a lucky toss that had her squealing as it landed around a small, skinny pole. Looking around with excited delight, she glanced at all the plush animals and blow-up toys. After a few moments, Kylie decided on a small plush snake that was as green as the grass and had dark green spots speckled all over his back. The snake was the last on the rack, and had a small tear in the stitching on the side. Determined, Kylie took her little prize home carefully, murmuring soothing words to the plush animal all the way home.
Once home, she worked vigorously at healing her new friend. After many hours, the small tear was stitched together, albeit a little crookedly. She named the prize Otis, and keeps him with her all the time. She will often wear Otis around her neck as a scarf, or might have him wrapped around a foreleg in warmer weather.
Since winning the snake, Kylie has never been seen without him. She considers him her best friend, the thing that she could always go vent and cry to when life got hard. She will often chat aloud as she walks by herself, presumably talking to her best friend, snuggled carefully around her neck.
