WHAT IS A MAKOATL?

A Makoatl is a terrestrial shark-dragon hybrid recently discovered
off the coast of the greenland sea. They have the powerful tail
and jaws of a shark, with the body and (occasional) horns of a dragon.
They usually have manes, and are covered in thick coats of fur-
adapted to keeping out the cold in their native habitat.
They live on a diet of mainly meat and fish, and are known to be vicious
hunters! Despite this attitude toward their prey, however, they
are very protective and mothering to their offspring,
as well as to each other the majority of the time.

Through out my life I have said what ever I was living was a metaphorical nightmare. That the creak of the floorboards and the constant rhythm the sink made with its unfixable leak kept me company. It was the only thing that soothed my unbearable mind the only thing that could make it seem silent for a second before it would launch off to something else creative. But it was an obsession that I have made myself like a nest to keep me protected, but instead it would be the one thing that would eventually break me down until I had reached insanity. It would be the one thing that would eventually kill me, like the metaphorical noose it was.

ｕｓｅｒｎａｍｅ ;; ► doodles;. However please call me anything you find suitable for yourself. If you find typing up "dee" or "doo" is easier than "doodles", than by all means go ahead. I'm not picky on what im called, I don't demand a certain name, I just ask that im not called it or you.

ｎａｍｅ ;; ► Hubble. Like the Hubble telescope, I thought it just sort of suited for his beautiful galaxy/night sky themed coat. The Hubble telescope wouldn't make a good name exactly in my opinion, so I just took the 'name' Hubble from it.

ｇｅｎｄｅｒ ;; ► Male. While some people see the beauty as a female, it's design just shouts male to me. I guess that is just a little odd, because yes at first glance the design does look almost feminine. However just staring at it after a while, it becomes to look more and more masculine. And so this Mako (if I win that is) will be male.

ｓｔａｒ ｇａｚｉｎｇ ;; ► Some can look up into the sky, and see bundles of glowing lights. They call them stars, or balls of gases. Not stopping to wonder; do they have a name? Most consider stars to be normal, and nothing new to them. Not a trace outside of their 'modern' and 'ordinary' life styles. What if stars didn't exist? Would it be all that thrilling to take someone up on the shore of a beach at night; and gaze at the wonders we call stars? Would 'camping' be taken down a notch? To be quiet honest stars are very much under appreciated; and most go on their entire life not taking a moment to think about them. Wander on the question, "What is a star?" Star Gazing can be quiet a fun hobby. Of course that is if you have the patience to sit down and actually take the time to stare up at the stars. Hubble enjoys looking at, and researching about stars. Not only that though; he loves learning about everything in space. However, his favorite aspect are stars. Most think of them as tiny little specks we see in the sky that sometimes can form a pattern if you play connect the dots on a picture of them. Stars are actually very large, in size. How else would they be so far off yet so easy to see? Hubble enjoys learning all about them; from the tiniest facts to the biggest of theories. He wants to gather up everything about them. You'd think that someone with such a passion would want to be an astronomer or something close to one at least. He doesn't though, it's simply a hobby.

His favorite time of the year to go star gazing is when there are full moons. Not just because you get this sort of 'eerie' feeling, but because the sky is most lit up during a full moon. Most think of full moons as times when there are clouds and nasty creatures about; some even try to stay indoors at this time. Of course not Hubble, he's always ready to pre-prepared to go out for hours on end just gazing up at the stars. He doesn't sit in one place for very long. He tries to move new places around the world, exploring new stars and constellations. Up close on his own, he's seen only half of all the constellations visible from earth. That's so little compared to how many there actually are. He can't travel fast unlike some mako's, he's very slow. Due to this, even if he sets out early to spot a certain constellation, he can and usually does end up late. It's not a very happy story with easy curves, no. It is a wonderful sight to see though. A star crystal clear. He takes pictures of every new constellation he sees, and tries to re-draw them in his constellation journal.

Excerpts from Hubble's Journal
Hubble has very poor handwriting when it comes to the 'English' language, as he is Russian. His hand writing is crap to be honest, as he usually only talks or communicates with 'movements'. A translation is offered below the two entries.

"Interesting sky shape today.."

- Going into a bit of detail -
This is actually one of his very first journal entries; he used to actually just sketch out random shapes he saw in the sky. Now he actually maps out real constellations his newer journal. Sadly, I could only snag a few pictures from the older one. He keeps his used journal close by his side everywhere he goes.


"I saw strange formations today! Wonder what they mean???"
This is his oldest one from his journal in all. This was actually the very first shape he had ever been interested in that was in the night sky. These were he two shapes that had gotten him interested in astronomy in the first place. He can only see the two between the 12th and 21st of December. Such an ironic time period, as the 12th is two days before he was born, on the 14th. He figures it means something because of that but who knows. He continues following the two, and actually hopes they become realy constellations someday.
