Shadow Stealth - The power to hide within the shadows, making herself completely unseen and undetected. Liath enjoys to use this power to hide within the shadows of other lions.
Darkness Empowerment - By absorbing shadows, Liath can buff her speed, attack, defense, and agility for a short period of time.
Shadow Mimicry - The ability to transform her body completely into a physical body made up of shadows. While in this form, Liath's power and attacks are increased and can on occasion other's attacks can pass directly through her. Liath can move from a 3D to a 2D shadow and can bend her size. Liath's most powerful power, however difficult to perform for long periods of time without resulting in exhaustion.
Dark Void: The ability to drag an opponent into a world of darkness, sending them into a deep slumber full of their worst nightmares. To be used in conjunction with her sister's Psywave attack.

Personality:

Leader - Ambitious - Honest - Distrusting - Jealous - Competitive - Overprotective - Observant - Rutheless

Ever since Liath was a child she has had a natural talent for leadership. Liath takes the lead when it comes to adventuring, fighting, or speaking with her sister. Liath tends to make decisions by following her gut feelings - she believes that your conscience always knows what the right thing is even if your brain, or other, try to tell you otherwise. This may make her seem to act rash and rush into things but it has yet to steer her wrong. Liath relies on her keen instincts most of all to live a life as a nomad. She has a good sense of when something is wrong and the bad feelings in her gut steer her to make the correct decision. Liath always jokes with her sister that some of her psychic power must have rubbed off on her.

Liath has a strong sense of justice. However, this sense may be more warped than she would care to admit. Liath was raised with certain ideals taught by her parents and those of her group of nomads - things she learned about the Pride. Liath has a great deal of anger and dislike towards the members of the pride but in reality this stems from her fear of them. She is constantly evaluating everything that they do or say, things she hears about them, and the actions they take. There is a lot of them that still remains unknown to her but that does not hide the fact that she was brought up to dislike them. Liath's sense of justice, and empathy, is lacking for the members of the Pride. It will take a lot of convincing for her to communicate with them - this is when she chooses to listen to her gut reactions. Still, Liath has a hard time not letting personal feelings get in the way of what must be done.

Liath shows compassion to those who have earned it - more so nomads than pride members - but anyone can earn their way into her inner circle if they work hard enough. Liath is slow to trust but when she does she goes all in and will protect others with her life. Liath is warm, welcoming, and loves to poke fun at and joke with her close friends. She will act as normal and as kind as anyone if she trusts you enough. Liath is very protective over others, especially her sister, and can grow jealous and distressed if newcomers try to take over her relationships. She never lacks the confidence to say to and always speaks her mind. Liath can lack a filter with the things she says and can face repercussions for letting her opinion be knows but simply rolls with the punches.

Liath can occasionally lack caution when in certain situations. She is much more ruthless than her sister is. Liath loves to edge her on and help her sister be more adventurous but knows her limits. Liath needs her sister's input for when she goes too far and they keep each other in constant check. They are in a constant ebb and flow and, while they have their points of butting heads, they are very complimentary. Liath's adventurous and ruthless nature can lead her to get into a lot of trouble - dragging her sister into it as well. This is why Liath is grateful for Eloin - they can always count on each other to get out of bad situations and they have each others back to the end.

- With Eloin -

After her sister made the choice to join the Pride as an adult, Liath became aggravated with her sister. Liath has strong feelings of those in the Pride and distances herself from them at any cost. Liath no longer feels the closeness with her sibling - something she desperately needs. Liath keeps up the facade that she has formed a hatred of her sister. While it is true that she will never forgive her for the decision that was made, Liath craves the closeness that they once shared. Deep down, Liath knows she is the cause of her sister's decision and finds difficulty coping with the fact that she drove her away. On the rare occasion that the two meet, Liath acts defensive, sullen, and full of pride, especially for the fact that she sticks to the life of a nomad that they were brought up as. Liath would like to think that she disowned her sister, but if push comes to shove, Liath will sacrifice herself for her sister's life. She is unsure if they will ever share the bond that they once did, considering they life separate lives, and Liath does not want to be a burden to her sister because of their premonition. Liath has to accept the fact that it is better if they are no longer together.

Where did they come from?

The Beginning

Liath's story begins far before the time of her birth.

Many, many moons ago, her journey began with her father. At at time when war first began to stir within the Pride's members, Sgorr was born. This lion would be one that would cause havoc and chaos to the pride which eventually would lead to his life of exile. Sgorr's parents were those not fond of how the pride had been run for hundred of years and they would soon join the movement for change. Ever since he was a child, Sgorr was raised with the ideals of a new regime; raised as one to hate traditionalists. It was easy to see how his mind was becoming warped even within his first hundred years of life. The traditions, the pride, the way of life - it was not meant for Sgorr. If one was going to bring about change, he wanted to be there in the fray, in the fight, risking life and limb for the start of a new generation. That is, until he met a certain young cub.

Peppa was a generous, warmhearted, open and friendly lioness cub born to the pride shortly after Sgorr. Not to mention, in the eyes of Sgorr, she was the most beautiful thing he had ever laid eyes on. While many hid away from Sgorr and his family she was honest in the fact that she wanted to be his friend. He knew even as a young lion that he wanted to protect her for the rest of his life. Peppa was not keen on the fact that Sgorr wanted to rid the planet of the traditionalists, including her parents, and she tried her best to change his mind. For a short time Peppa had succeeded in preventing him from joining into the war. The two grew up in a pride torn and broken and Peppa was the only thing holding Sgorr at bay from losing his life to it. If one thing would stop him from doing something reckless it was if he had a family. The two of them eventually decided to settle down and have a family, the lioness praying it would end his thoughts for good. It would have, if war had not broken out shortly after. On an unfortunate day, Peppa was caught in the middle of a fight between the two sides and nearly lost her life and those of her unborn cubs to the traditionalist fighter. Sgorr, furious, killed many lions that day to get to his mate and protect his family. Unfortunately, other did not see it that way. With is background and history against the pride, he was made out to be a murderer for the other side and was quickly driven out along with is mate into the outskirts, forced to live their lives as nomads. To this day, Sgorr never forgot what had happened that day and would make it is mission to teach his children of the real way of the pride - one of danger, death, and destruction. Peppa wears a reminder of that day on her side in the form of an abdominal scar, but thankfully, her children were spared. And this is where Liath and her sister's story begins.

Dreamland

On the day of their birth, the two sisters were angels in their parents eyes. However, there was a distinct difference between the two sisters. Liath was rowdy, playful, and reckless even in the first few days of life. Her twin sister, Eloin, was not. The two parents were grief stricken at the thought of losing their daughter, for Eloin was still, calm, and showed no interest in interacting with the world. Was she dead? - Deaf? - Mute? No, for there was still life in her body, her parents could feel it. Liath, most of all, knew her sister was alive and well. As Liath suckled close to her mother's side, her head was filled with purrs, coos, and cries of a voice not her own - but of her sisters. It was difficult for a newborn to describe what she was experiencing; all she knew was that it was Eloin.

Liath spend much of her early years alone, seemingly raised as an only child. Eloin was stuck in a state of nothingness, refusing to open up to the outside world. Refusing to come alive for anyone but Liath.

Eloin! Why do you not come? It is lonely here all alone sister… come play with me! Isn't it time yet? Liath called out, chasing after her sister. The world was beautiful and full of color, one not of the planet she lived on. It was a dream, where nothing would hurt the two of them. Liath was in her sister's world now. Why do you only play with me through dreams Eloin? It is not fair. Mother and father worry constantly for you. I want to see you for real, with my own eyes, not just my mind. the cub growled stubbornly, pouncing on her sister's back in a fit of anger. The two rolled around and Liath laughed, pinning her to the ground and looking to her sisters vibrant eyes. It was the only time she would see her eyes - sadly when Liath woke up her sister would be nothing more than a sleeping ball. No Liath. It is not time yet. Eloin replied, pawing at her face. Liath cried out in her sleep and woke up laughing. She looked over to her mother, curled up around Eloin. Her sister had still not stirred. She had never opened her eyes yet, not in years.

Sgorr and Peppa were nearly ready to give up on their other daughter. She was lost to the world, unable to come alive. Liath insisted that Eloin was in there, just waiting to wake up. She would wake up each day and tell her parents stories of what the siblings did in their dreams. Some times they would soar in the skies; visit Earth; play in the meadows; travel to the stars and beyond. No; she would not give up on her sister. Not now, not ever.

The day when Eloin finally awoke Liath could hardly contain her excitement. She could feel her, touch her, speak to her. Eloin was a living, breathing cub just like her. Liath did not have to sleep anymore just to spend time with her sister. It was obvious her psychic power was the only reason that the two could even communicate at all while Eloin was in her slumber. Liath was just glad her sister was real. Sgorr and Peppa pampered their little girl with attention and would hardly let her out of their sights. Liath was always daring her sister to venture out into the world, away from their parents, and go exploring like they did in their dreams. Unfortunately, their parents would not allow much of that until they came into their powers. Eloin had expertise from the beginning; using her psychic ability she was able to enter Liath's dreams. Liath, on the other hand, gained her father's power over darkness. She never understood why others were afraid of the dark - to her it was like being wrapped in a warm blanket of nothingness.

And so the training begins...

If being raised as nomad children was not hard enough, the two sisters had to grow up learning their power from their parents rather than the many cub trainers. As a result, Liath spent her much of her time training with her father. She despised being away from Eloin but had to manage without her sister, while she trained with Peppa. Sgorr was a hard trainer and he pushed his daughter to her absolute limit in training. Because she spend so much time with her father growing up, Liath seemed to mirror him in personality and views. He would spend their training telling her stories of the pride and how they were wronged. She heard all of the stories of anger, war, distrust, and death that came with the pride. In her eyes, nothing good came of them. She quickly learned to hate and distrust any and all members of the pride. Liath was a star in Sgorr's eyes; she was exactly what he wanted her to be.

"Father why did you end up leaving then? If you were born there why did you come all the way out here." she asked. "You know why Liath. The pride breeds destruction and tools of war…. Because of them you and your sister were nearly killed. You know the scar your mother wears on her side…. they nearly killed her because of their selfish ways. I told Peppa ever since we were young that nothing good would come from that place. They should have been purged and a new order be restored… but none of that matters now. We were driven out - for the better. Now we live her together in peace with no worry of them. They are no good Liath, watch your back around them. " Liath thought on this for years, letting the hate stir in her gut. She heard many of these rants throughout her years. While Peppa told her the rich history of the Pride, Sgorr would fill her head with feelings of anger and would bring up all of the fighting and war. It was because of them that her sister was sleeping so long, she concluded. They took her away from me growing up. Those lousy traditionalists nearly killed her mother… Eloin… herself. If Eloin had not woken up Liath would have made it her mission to hurt them for what they had done. But no, Eloin would not want that now. Eloin spends time with mother and they have no resentment towards the pride. I will not trust them… never ever. They are bad, dangerous, and hurtful. But for mother and my sister I will not harm them. But if they ever take Eloin away from me… that will be the end… They are dangerous and I will never be one of them.

Liath loved her life as a nomad. All she needed was her sister. The two were as close as anyone could ever be; maybe even closer than they cared to admit. Their bond was unbreakable. Their powers would grow in unison and at this rate the two would be unstoppable. That is, until her sister's power would go a little too far. It was long into their training when it happened. Liath harnessed her darkness and it grew in her each and every day. Sgorr made sure of that. Eloin, working with her mother, was able to discover that she had the ability to receive visions through her psychic abilities. The two sisters would spend much of their time talking about their powers, Eloin about her visions in particular. Liath would cuddle with her at night beneath the stars and just close her eyes, listening to her sister go on about her latest vision. Growing up, Liath knew this was the perfect life. Until…

The Premonition

The first time Eloin had her premonition, Liath could not have been more terrified. She remembers that day like it was yesterday. The two were out playing, their parents nearby enjoying their time in the fresh air of afternoon. "Come on Eloin! Let's go on an adventure today." she sing-songed, scampering off ahead of her sister. The two romped and wrestled without a care in the world. However, considering Eloin's power and visions came on by the sense of touch, the two wrestling brought on her worst one yet. Her sister simply froze, eyes almost looking as if they were glazed over and glowing with power. "Eloin?" she called to her sister, noticing she had stopped in her tracks. Liath padded closer, lowering her head and looking worriedly to her sister. "Eloin? Eloin wake up? What's wrong?" she asked. When a vision came, Eloin was usually smiling and excited. Now, she simply looked terrified. Liath shook her and pleaded her to wake, and when she did, she ran. It took some time to catch up with her sister, and by then Liath was completely out of breath. She asked what had happened - what did she see that had made her so frightened? When Eloin finally told her, Liath had no words. Her sister had just predicted her death? The thing that scared her the most was that, to this date, all of her visions had come true. Was this the same? Was she going to die? After some careful prodding, Liath was able to uncover that the way she died was not revealed. "Maybe you saw what you thought was my death Eloin. Maybe I was not actually….dead. You cannot be completely sure. It is probably just what you think you saw…" Although, Liath was not entirely sure she even believed what she was saying. Curling up close, Liath assured her it would be fine as long as the two were always together. However, ever since that day, Eloin seemed to grow further and further apart form her.

The next vision Eloin had of this event seemed to reveal more. When Eloin told her this time Liath had to believe. The two were on their own and Liath had died saving her sister from a ravaged Caffer. Eloin told her of the sights and sounds of this vision - this premonition of her death. All Liath could envision was the cracking of her bones, blood, her fading voice, and the smell of death. Now they knew how Liath had met her end. The first vision it had been unclear how Liath had died - now this premonition filled in the missing pieces. She could only imagine how it had seemed to her sister. "We will stop this from happening Eloin. I promise. This won't come true, do you hear me? With the two of us together we can make this only be a bad memory."

Image

Our Separate Ways

After Eloin's first vision of Liath's death, things would never be the same between them.

The premonitions became more recurrent, vivid, and dangerous. Each time Liath was saved from her gruesome fate another vision occurred, showing a new way in which she would meet her end - as if there was no way to truly prevent her from escaping death. Each vision involved the two sisters - again and again Eloin was forced to watch her sister die. Perhaps, if Eloin took herself out of the picture… the visions would stop. The moment Eloin mentioned the idea of the two of them joining the Pride, Liath almost lost it. Join the thing she hated the most? How could her sister mention such an idea?! As the years passed, her sister became more distant and more set on leaving. Liath could not understand. Why would she want to leave her? It took a lot of prodding but when Eloin finally told Liath her feelings on the matter. It was the beginning of the end for the sisters.

"You cannot escape death Eloin…" Liath spoke softly, looking to her sister with profound sadness in her eyes. "I cannot escape death. We are all bound to face that fate one way or another. And when that day comes I want you to be with me. I don't want to die alone Eloin!" she cried. Conversations like this would become more and more common between the two sisters and, for a time, they were enough to keep the two sisters together. However, one day, it would not be enough. The day Eloin made up her mind to leave Liath the young female would never be the same.

"N-no… please Eloin. Don't go. I need you - you can't leave me. We promised we would always be together…" Liath stuttered, her voice strained with heavy emotion. She watched her sister turn her back on her, her eyes in the direction of the Pride. One step forward became two, then more, and soon she was simply a blur in the distance. Liath's sadness quickly turned to anger. How could she do this! Go to the very ones who caused all of this hurt and destruction to their family! And now Eloin wants to become one of them! Liath remembered the promise she made herself years ago.

But if they ever take Eloin away from me… that will be the end…

"And that they did." Liath roared, darkness surrounding her in a thick mist and swallowing her whole. "I will never trust any of them… not even Eloin." The lioness's voice cracked, not believing the words she was speaking. Things will never be the same. Will they even see each other again? Liath tried so hard to form hate for her sister in her heart but the only hate that formed was for the Pride - not her sister. She could never hate Eloin but would have to make her believe she did. Her feelings of the Pride grew even more tainted since that day. Besides the few friends she already had, others from that dreaded place would never win her favor easily.

Today, Liath continues to live her life as a nomad. She resides on the outskirts of the Pride lands with her parents, Sgorr and Peppa, providing for them and other nomads as necessary. They travel between groups of nomad lions, letting them in and living as a group for protection and socialization. She befriends and protects those who call for it and looks after cubs when she is not hunting or scouting the surrounding areas. Liath will rarely make trips to the pride with her mother Peppa, doing her best to avoid any contact with Eloin. Her mother visits her daughter often but Liath makes it a point that she does not want to get in her sister's way. She has the facade that she is angry but in truth only wants her sister to find the peace she wanted. Liath has always felt a sense of loneliness since her sister left her and has found it hard to open up to other lions since they parted ways. Liath desires to find a lion, or even a mate, to fill the spot that has since been broken in her heart - however she is unsure if she will ever feel whole again.

Since her sister had abandoned her, Liath has always wondered about the vision. No doubt it will still come true - Liath will die somehow, and not of old age. How and when that will happen she will never know. Perhaps Eloin will. But will she do anything about it? Most likely not. Liath continues to wonder just when and how she will meet her end. Every day she wakes up worried, anxious, and scared. What if today is her last? With her sister gone she has lost all sense of security. Would she ever see Eloin again? Liath hopes she can find something new to live for now that she is alone. But alone for how long? Once again, things would turn on their heads.

A Chance At Peace

As the years had gone by, Liath's bitterness subsided and turned to understanding. It had taken her quite some time to come to terms with what had happened and why. She was no longer angry at Eloin - she could not truly be. The lioness felt quite ashamed for her behavior towards her sister and longed for the day when they would meet again, if they would at all. She would not rush things and if it was meant to be it would be. She would often stare in the direction of the pride, watching on the horizon for any sign of her long lost sister.

However, one day, things would all change again. Liath was patrolling the territory for her parents as they rested for the afternoon. She was intently focused on her job, working hard keeping the area safe for her family and the nomads in the area. In the distance, Liath heard a voice. The voice was familiar; it held warmth, tenderness, longing, and perhaps a bit of sadness. Liath picked up her head, ears perking up at the sound. It brought back memories from her past. The voice was one she had heard many times as a child in her dreams. "No, it can't be." she murmured. Eloin was gone. Was this a dream, just as it had been long ago? Her sister often called in her dreams but Liath had been too stubborn to listen after she left. But..what if… Things were different now. She was ready. It was time. Liath turned to see a familiar figure running to her from the direction of the pride. "Eloin?" she called back, slowly making her way to meet the lioness. Eloin approached, looking far more grown than she had before, and spouted out so much Liath could hardly keep up.

"Enough." she began, watching her sister with wide eyes. She managed to hold back tears and simply smile. "I understand now. I didn't then but I have now. You did what you had to do - what you thought was best for us. It was selfish and ignorant of me to behave how I did. You have grown in power, but I have grown in spirit. I don't resent you for what you did. You showed courage, more than I. I am just happy to have you back. We have missed so much." Liath wrapped her sister in a warm embrace, and basked in the moment that almost seemed too wonderful to be true.

The two had much to catch up on. Liath took Eloin back to their parents. Peppa was so full of emotion it brought them to tears. She was so excited to have her child back and had much to say and hear. She was anxious to learn all about Eloin's travels and training and talk more of their shared power. Having Eloin back was more than she could bare. Sgorr, on the other hand, was more apprehensive. He had held anger for his daughter leaving for the pride but all was soon forgiven after the warm reconciliation. He was simply happy that she had chosen to return to them. The family was together again - that was all he had ever wanted. They could not be happier, Liath particularly. She had her sister back and hopefully all would go back to what it had been years ago. It may take time, but she had faith that it would eventually.

The two sister had much to catch up on. While nothing had really changed for Liath, much had for Eloin. Liath was curious to hear about how her sister had "calmed" her power and gotten command over it but was not in that much of a hurry to find out. It was a touchy subject for Eloin and when she wanted to talk about it Liath would be there to listen. Liath spend their time showing her around their new territory, introducing her to other lions, and listening intently about her sister's experience. The two did as they always did - Late at night they would lay together, curled in a ball of warmth and love, looking up to the stars as they and all those years ago, talking of their powers and their dreams, their hopes and wishes. This time, Liath was the one doing the listening, and Eloin doing the talking. Liath could listen for ages, intently taking in all that she had missed through these years. It would be true this time - nothing would take Eloin away again.

“If you have a sister and she dies, do you stop saying you have one? Or are you always a sister, even when the other half of the equation is gone?”

With Eloin:
The bond with her sister is one Liath thought could never be broken. She values her sister more than anything and would lay her life on the line for her. Like she always says, when you know how your life ends what do you really have to lose? They formed a strong bond growing up on the outskirts of the planet and have a bond that only they can share. Though her sister's premonition about Liath's death put a dent in their strong relationship and caused them to split, Liath cannot deny she still loves her sister dearly - even if she does not show it now.

Liath's father, Sgorr, was the beginning of her road to dislike for the pride. Because of some wrong they did to him, her father has a strong hatred for members of the pride and tried to raise his daughters to feel the same. Liath picked up on this trait more so than her sister Eloin has. Sgorr was a big influence on Liath during her growing years; she seemed to inherit his sense of recklessness, jealous, and adventurous nature - not to mention his element. Liath loves him more than anything, even accepting his faults, and wishes to ruin all those lions who caused him to become so filled with anger.

She learned her compassionate, caring, protective side from her mother, Peppa. Liath was always more distant to her mother than Eloin was, considering the two share a power, but the two are still close. Peppa encouraged both her daughters to be carefree and love one another through anything, for the bond they share is the most important one sisters could have. Peppa is a huge inspiration for Liath and whenever something goes wrong she turns to her mother for support. Peppa is not as distrusting of the pride as her mate and Liath, so she often takes her daughters to visit them - something Liath hates but must endure. This is the most challenging strain in their relationship, but regardless of that, she holds no real anger towards her.

Image
With Pandora:
While Liath always disliked the times her family traveled to the pride, one of the lions she made friends with growing up was Pandora. Liath found her happy-go-lucky, restless, havoc-wrecking attitude one that mirrored her own. While Pandora was more adventurous, Liath enjoyed going on adventures with her to get away from the pride lions - for Pandora liked to spend time away from them as well. Liath never understood why the other cubs disliked spending time with Pandora, which made Liath distrust them even more, because Liath considers her one of her only friends from the pride. The two lionesses would always find themselves in some sort of trouble when Liath's family came around and Liath considers it one of the only things she enjoyed about visiting.

Image
With Kimba:
One of the few lions of the pride that Liath can stand to be around, Kimba is the carefree, joyful, and loving male that makes Liath believe there is at least some good to them. Kimba has always been understanding to her viewpoints and patient with her dislike of his way of life. They are both slow to warm up to new people and new things, therefore their relationship together let the both of them learn more about the different lifestyles and differences between nomads and pride members. Liath finds the fact that she, the darkness, is friends with a warm and fluffy light elemental pride lion. Kimba is a shoulder for her to lean on and he is able to calm her down from completely giving up on the pride as a whole. He shows her there is hope for her to fit in, perhaps one day, even if she does not think so. They are both adventurous, making him one of the lions who has to go find her when she gets out of hand on her visits to the pride. Though their meetings are not often, Liath finds trust in her friend of the pride. She knows he will keep an eye on her, even if she is against it, and will keep her informed on who are the pride members she should really be wary of.

Image
With Tamboro:
Liath is completely and utterly intrigued by Tamboro's ability over lava. The only other lions with lava that she was exposed too she disliked - Malakye, for his personality; and Yunus, whom she distrusts for being a Blood Moon Lion. She feels empathy for him considering his power can do so much damage. So, Liath does her best to be kind and considerate around him when the two do meet. She enjoys spending time around Tamboro when he is near but cannot understand why he still wishes to help out the pride if he is a nomad. Liath is interested to hear his points of view on the pride and what is going on around the planet. To be truthful, though, when Tamboro loses his temper Liath is utterly terrified of him. Liath does her best to hide her fear and her interest of him generally wins out in the end. Liath considers Tamboro to be an inspiration and, hopefully, a future friend.

Image
With Azarius:
Liath is always interested to hear Azarius's former life as a warrior for the pride. She is curious and never fully understands why he left, but she can level with the fact that he hates violence. That is one of the reasons she is wary of the pride - Liath has the feeling it can breed hatred and violence that is unnecessary. Liath enjoys spending her time around him when they cross paths; however, his love of cuddles can be a little overwhelming, especially at first. However, she has seemed to warm up to his affectionate nature. Liath has a deeper connection with him considering they both share the element of darkness. Liath looks up to Azarius as a mentor to help her learn and grow her power, along with her sister. It was with Azarius's help that Liath was able to achieve using an attack in combination with her sister - a hearty feat for the two siblings. Azarius's assistance has been nothing but helpful for her and Liath is utterly grateful for his help.

Image
With Marella:
Another of the lions that Liath has always been wary of. If it was not for the fact that Marella emerged from the mysterious lake with no other origin, it would be for her looks. Liath was scared of Marella when the two first were introduced, but Pandora managed to get the two to be on decent terms. Liath does seem to enjoy spending time with the cub using their powers of darkness to scare the other lions. With Marella's shadow figures and Liath's ability to hide in them, the two can get into some pretty daring stunts when they scare passersby.

Image
With Phasma:
While Liath does not tend to see Phasma often, considering the lioness likes to work alone, she is always puzzled by her when they do meet. To her, Phasma is an enigma - something she does not fully understand. Liath tries her best to learn from the lioness whenever she can because the two share the power of darkness. Liath is always keen on learning of new things the lioness has found during her travels and even pick up on a fighting tip or two. Liath knows that Phasma is a fierce fighter and protective of others, for which the cub is grateful considering how dangerous life as a nomad can actually be. Liath is eager to learn more of the lioness as time goes on, thinking of Phasma as a future mentor.

ImageImage
With Ruby and Sapphire:
Liath's first impression of the two siblings was one of hatred, for their father is a Blood Moon Lion - something not of this world that Liath hates and is afraid of. At first they were her enemies. Her feelings of the two were that they were unnatural, however, her sister Eloin showed her that there was more to the two gems than she had first anticipated. The two siblings are more like Liath and Eloin than she cares to admit. Liath was able to connect with the pair because of the bond they shared with siblings - Liath could understand why the two were inseparable and she, too, would do anything for her sister. Liath was pushed by Eloin to become friends with the two, however wary she was of them, and whenever their family visits the pride she is welcoming to the pair. As time goes on and the two decide to leave the pride, Liath is more than welcoming as a friend and fellow nomad. Liath would care for the two if they required anything at all and is even a little jealous of them - they still have each other when she lost her sister. It can lead to a small bit of anger on her fault but she cannot truly hate the pair for being so close; she simply hates herself for driving Eloin away.

Image
With Anatu:
Liath seems to have a rocky attitude towards Anatu. The lioness can often get under the cub's skin at times with her attitude; and Liath is more than happy to give her a taste of her own medicine. Liath cannot connect with the fact that the lioness cares only for herself; Liath cares for her sister more than anything and has a hard time relating. One thing she does like about the female is her view of the Pride. Aside from Liath's father, Anatu is her second biggest influence for hatred of the Pride. Anatu seems to have the same amount of respect for them as Liath; though her sister forces Liath to give them a chance. Liath can seem to be the bigger person at times, considering she has a few choice friend from the pride, but she can completely agree with Anatu's skepticism. Though Liath hates the lionesses selfish nature, she can connect with her determination to her lifestyle; one of the few things they share. She does not consider Anatu an enemy, nor a true friend yet, but keeps an eye on the lioness when they meet.

Image
With Seraphina:
Seraphina has been one of Liath's closest friends after her sister Eloin left her. Though she tried to close herself off to others after that event, Liath could not help but be drawn to the other lioness for their shared feelings - both have lost a sibling. Though Seraphina's twin was actually gone from this world, and Eloin had simply left, it was a similar feeling the two shared. Liath is plagued with the fact that she is the reason her sister left and has carried this burden and sense of loss on her shoulders ever since. The two share a bond over this fact. While Liath is unaware of the deeds behind Seraphina's existence and allegiance, she would consider one of her best friends out in the nomad lands. She is one of the lions Liath will go too when she needs a shoulder to cry on or to simply share a tale with. They can both be quite sullen and reserved at times but the two are more alike than they care to admit.

Image
With Nyx:
Liath's relationship with Nyx was not one made by choice. It was her sister Eloin's idea to ask the cub trainer for assistance on their powers. Considering Liath hated visiting the members of the pride, she was less than thrilled. Though, for her sister, she kept her feelings to herself - except for her obvious disinterest in the whole situation. Nyx was quite helpful in aiding the two sisters in perfecting their combination attack. Considering the attack performed together was quite difficult, Liath would need extra training to get her part of the attack right. This was where Nyx came in. Both she and Liath being darkness elementals, the cub trainer was valuable in the two's training. Though this fact is not one Liath would admit lightly, she is somewhat grateful to the lioness for her help.

Image
With Ishabba:
Liath would have had no relationship with Ishabba if it had not been for her sister Eloin's forceful separation. The two lionesses bonded over the fact that they shared the same experience - both were separated from their twins. Liath had fear for her at first considering she was born from the Blood Moon - something she feared and has little understanding of. After multiple encounters the cub warmed up to the lioness and formed a deep bond with her. Liath would consider her a second mother figure and would always go to her when she felt the need to vent or even cry about missing her sibling. She found comfort with Ishabba and considers her a very close friend.

Image
With Malaika:
Liath was around Malaika quite a lot considering she spent time with Ishabba. The two met on many occasions and, despite some difference, got along quite well. The two are not the closest of friends but Liath has no ill will towards the other lioness. Wary of her for her unusual birth had caused a fissure in the relationship at first but when Liath knew there was nothing to fear she became more comfortable around Malaika. The two have a positive relationship and Liath considers her an acquaintance for now - perhaps in the future they may have a more developed relationship. Liath was glad that she was around after her sister left for the pride - Liath is grateful for Malaika to be a companion to have in her time of need.

Image
With Hyperion:
Liath is unsure if she considers Hyperion to be a good influence or a bad influence on her. He has succeeded in furthering her dislike of the pride, but his extremism can often leave her frightened. She listens to her gut - and her gut tells her he is not what he seems. Liath has listened to his ponderings about how dangerous the pride is. He often speaks of the alpha, Ethereal, and has filled her head with stories of him and the pride. Liath does not trust the pride one bit but still finds it hard to believe what Hyperion says, considering what she has heard from other nomads who have left the pride. Is he an enemy? No. Is he a friend? To her, that seems like a dangerous preposition. Liath considers this lion an acquaintance but has no true understanding of him yet.

"There's no sense in waiting for tomorrow."

Powers:

Future Sight-
Whenever Eloin initiates contact with another, there is a chance she will have a brief vision of an important event in their life. Sometimes it is a brief glimpse of their death, a vague picture of their armor, or even something as simple as them finding a good luck charm.

Enhanced Awareness- Eloin has an acute sixth sense that allows her sense happenings in the immediate future. This allows her to react to dangers that are about to happen should she act fast enough. This also means that it is quite difficult to sneak up on her, much to Liath's chagrin.

Mind Link- The ability to share thoughts, memories, emotions or feelings with another or to even experience the others senses, allowing the user to experience world as their target would. This ability is most frequently used on Liath.

Psywave- The power to send a strong invisible waves that can cause headaches and confusion when the target is awake and heavily distort dreams. To be used in conjunction with her sisters Dark Void attack.

Dream walk- With this ability Eloin is able to enter and travel through the dreams of those sleeping around her. Eloin uses this as a means to escape the confusing visions that may plaque her own dreams.

Psionic Drain- A powerful move that allows the user to drain the power source of another in order to boost her own psychic powers. This power can only be used on certain individuals as not all powers are compatible enough with hers to where she can convert it into psychic energy and use it to attack.

Personality:
Curious- Independent- Determined -Open minded - Sympathetic- Quiet - Hard-headed- Stubborn- Pessimistic- Envious

During her early cub years Eloin was physically weak, and spent most of her time sleeping and was barely awake for more than a few moments at a time. Both of her parents were worried that she wasn't even going to make it past her 15th year. Little did they know during the many hours she spent sleeping Eloin was actually playing and speaking with Liath through her dreams. Liath would always try to get Eloin to wake up and play with her for real, but Eloin would always say it wasn't time yet. It took another two years before Eloin grew strong enough to finally play and interact with her family. Even though Eloin showed no signs of getting sick again, her parents continued to fuss over her health. Her parent's constant hovering caused Eloin to grow up very independent, hard-headed, and stubborn.

After spending so much of her time sleeping, Eloin is very attentive and curious about the world around her. Whenever Liath is off getting into all kinds of trouble, Eloin is never far behind her. Of course Eloin isn't as reckless as her sister, and always makes sure that Liath doesn't bite off more than she can chew. Just like her sister, Eloin follows her gut when it comes to making decisions but these decisions usually involve keeping her sister in check and stopping her from going too far.

At first when Eloin first started getting visions, she was excited and made sure to tell her family about each one. It made her even happier whenever she got to witnessed one of her visions play out. It wasn't until she received her first premonition of death that changed her view on her powers. Once she realized that her visions were sometimes triggered by touch Eloin began to flinch away from physical contact. She even stopped sharing all her visions, keeping the negative ones a secret in fear of how the lion in her vision would react to the news. Eloin would always seek guidance from her mother, asking her about how to stop the visions, eventually confessing how scared she was. Peppa would try to console her daughter, ecouraging her to embrace her powers and not fear them. Of course being the stubborn cub that she is, Eloin had a hard time following her mothers words as she was not satisfied with her mothers answer. Only Liath knew how she truly felt about the matter.

As time grew on Eloin's view on the world became more pessimistic. Granted she experienced more happier visions than negative ones, but what put her on edge was how unpredictable they were. Her sister's company was the only thing that helped to distract her, to keep her from becoming as bitter as her father's hatred for the pride. There were times where Eloin has particularly bad days where she finds herself feeling envious of other lions and their powers. These feelings of envy are always short lived but they never failed to leave a sour taste in her mouth.

Where did they come from?

A world within a world
In the beginning there was nothing, only the sounds of the outside world. On occasion she would feel a warm body pressed against her side and she would always lean closer. Sometimes it was the small body she learned to identify as her sister, and other times the much larger bodies of her parents. Sometimes she would get to urge to match the sounds to a face, but these feelings were short lived. For now she was in no hurry to leave the peace of her mind. On some days she would see a flash of color, sometimes a field of bright grass, or even a small figure darting across the fields. But it was a long while before she had her first real dream.

At first Eloin only experienced her own dreams which were filled of vibrant colors and strange creatures she knew nothing of. She would play, explore and have the time of her life chasing after the many small animals she sometimes saw in her dreams. This was fine in the beginning until she grew curious of how far her world stretched after hearing a faint sound of laughter. Following the sound, Eloin had not been paying attention until she was tackled by another cub, followed by the shout of a name.

Eloin? Who is Eloin? The other cub blinked before letting out a hearty laugh. You're Eloin! And I'm your sister, Liath! A sister, that voice belonged to her sister! Eloin had never been filled with more excitement since her first dream. She wouldn't be alone now, she could finally put a face to one of the many voices that always filled her with a sense of warmth. From that day on, Eloin would always seek out her sister's voice and presence. Playing and showing her twin the world she had learned to call her own.

It was difficult knowing that Liath was able to experience the outside world, while she was stuck here in this fantasy paradise. Sure her dreams were always different, but it was lonely. Whenever she tried to follow her sister and wake up, she could never seem to find an exit. She didn't even know how to leave and for a while it scared her. Would she be stuck here forever? Never to see her parents or get to play with her sister? These questions would run rampant, working herself into a tizzy and eventually causing her to blank out. During those moment where she blanked out she would awaken in the outside world for the briefest of moments before being sucked back into her dream world. It was then that Eloin realized that she could get out, she just had to be patient. It was not her time.

When the time had come there was no clear signal or magical portal that she could just walk through. There was only a feeling, and that was enough to let Eloin know it was time. Up until that day Eloin had been working on how she was going to leave. The answer was quite simple, all she had to do was fall asleep. Of course it was easier said than done, as there were many times where she would wake up back in the dream world without even getting a glimpse of the outside world. And other times she was luckier.

Whether it was minutes or seconds, Eloin didn't know but it felt like an eternity before finally a warm breeze gently ruffled her fur. At first she was confused, in her dreams there wasn't any wind. The air always had this stale and empty feel to it. Afraid that she might get dragged back into her dreams, Eloin hesitated before finally opening her eyes. Letting out a soft gasp, nothing could have prepared Eloin for this moment. Sure her dream world was beautiful but it was nothing compared to the colorful sky that glimmered above her. Everything felt so solid and real. The grass was softer, the breeze warmer, and the sky much more vibrant. And most of all it was real. Letting out a soft laugh, Eloin couldn't stop the tears that streamed down her face. She was free, she could be with her family now, and her sister—where was Liath. For a moment Eloin was struck with a moment of fear before her gaze landed on a darker coat she had come to recognize as her sister. Scrambling up on weak legs, Eloin hobbled as fast as she could over to her sister, shouting her name.

Training

Given how Eloin's and Peppa's powers were mind based, Eloin's training consisted mostly of mediating. This was how Peppa had discovered her powers and she believed this was the best way to teach her daughter. During this time Peppa would go on about her life with the pride, filling Eloin's head with enough positive things to counter the things Sgorr said about the pride. Of course the tales of the pride brought on the subject of her mother's abdominal scar. At first Peppa was hesitant to tell Eloin, but then felt it was best to be honest thus explaining the origins of the scar. The story left Eloin feeling conflicted about the pride. On one hand, the situation could be easily seen as a simple misunderstanding and yet on the other, it was obvious to her that the past had greatly impacted her early life. Was that fight that caused her to be dormant during her early years or was it simple coincidence? It was most likely the former and yet this information did not deter her from being curious about the pride. Perhaps one day Peppa would take her there to visit, allowing to see for herself what the pride was really like.

Later when she and Liath would swap stories about their training, the subject of the pride would sometimes be brought up. It was very clear that Eloin's opinion of the pride differed greatly from her sister. While she wanted to know more about the pride, Laith wanted nothing to do with it and would try to convince her that they weren't worth her curiosity. Still, this did not stop Eloin from gazing wistfully over the border, wondering if she would ever get a glimpse of one of the pride lions.

Seeing as how it was clear the two were set on their different views of the pride, the subject was rarely brought up. Instead the two focused on their training, practicing their powers on each other, giving each other tips, and strengthening their bond. As their control over their powers grew stronger, Eloin started getting her first visions. They started off short and vague, and as time went on the visions became more elaborate and detailed. Eloin used to be ecstatic whenever she received a vision as they were unpredictable and didn't happen often. Getting visions was her favorite aspect of her element, second only to her ability to walk in dreams; that is until she had one vision that put a crack in their seemingly perfect life.

The premonition
They started off so simple, a warning against where a frightened Amani was hiding, or an aggressive lone Caffer that was running rampant. Little hints that helped to keep Liath safe while they were out exploring. At first Eloin was glad she got these visions, until she noticed how frequent she got them and how drastically they changed after each one. It was starting to become quite the concern. It wasn't until she had a vivid vision, a premonition, of her and her sister that left her feeling scared. It was a blur of images, but one thing was clear; Laith had been killed, by what means it was hard to tell as the only thing Eloin could see was herself curled over Laith's lifeless body. The horrifying image was gone as quickly as it came, causing Eloin to abruptly stop playing with Laith. Eloin was so stunned that she barely even registered Laith calling her name. With a mumble of a half baked excuse Eloin turned and fled. What ever had caused her sister's death, Eloin could not let that happen, she couldn't bare the thought of living without her twin. She had to keep Laith safe, she had done it before and could do it again, and again.

The second premonition is far worse than the first and it still sometimes plagues Eloin's dreams. Eloin remembers every detail from start to finish. It started off with the two of them playing, too lost in their own fun to fully pay attention to their surroundings. An old partially blind Caffer had wandered far from its herd. The Caffer heard the pair of cubs before the two were even aware of it. The beast let out a loud snort before charging forward. Liath reacted faster than Eloin and pushed her out of the way, resulting in Laith taking most of the damage. The force of the headbutt had sent Laith flying, the sickening sound of bones cracking could be heard loud and clear. Crying out for her sister Eloin used her powers to confuse the Caffer before running over to her sisters unmoving side.

"Laith! Laith...? Please tell me you are okay... Please hold on, I will get Dad and he will know what to do." Eloin had been about to dash off before Laith whimpered in protest, "D-don't leave...Stay..."

The rest of the vision had cut off abruptly before Eloin could see what happened next. All her senses seemed to come crashing down on her at once. Her breathing was coming out in short quick bursts, tears where running down her face, and Laith was calling her name. Closing her eyes Eloin let out a sob and curled up on the ground, paws covering her face as she tried to regain her bearings. Laith had waited until Eloin's sobs had grown into soft whimpers before asking her what was wrong. Eloin hesitated for a long while before finally explaining what she saw. When she had finished Eloin sat up, gazing sadly at Laith. "Laith, please promise me that you will always be aware of what's around you. Please, promise me. We can't let that vision come true. Promise me...please."

For your own good

The recurring premonitions we're starting to take a toll on Eloin. Why wouldn't they stop, why did they keep changing. Eloin was so scared and tired of constantly worrying about the next horrifying premonition she would be forced to experience. It was driving her away from her sister to the point where she now flinches from physical contact in an effort to stop the visions. It wasn't until she saw a particularly gruesome premonition where her actions were the cause of Laith's death that drove her to a breaking point; she needed help. Perhaps there was someone in the pride who could help her and maybe being away from Laith would help keep her safe.

"I know we cannot escape death but I have to try. I want us to live long happy lives and I'm willing to do what it takes to make that happen. The pride has answers that I can't find here... I have to go there... " Eloin didn't bother hiding the tears as she turned away from her twin. Each step she took away from Laith was a stab to her heart, but Eloin knew this is what she needed to do. "We will always be together, Laith. I... will be back... I promise."

It broke Eloin's heart hearing the raw emotion in her sisters voice but she continued on. Eloin had wished Laith had agreed to come with her but she knew her sister wouldn't dream of living with the pride even if it was only temporary. This was something she had to do alone, and Eloin hoped this decision would be worth the pain she put Laith through.

"I'm only trying to do what is best for us."

Making amends

It had taken longer than Eloin anticipated but she had finally found the answers she had been looking for. Yejida was who she had to thank for making everything possible. The mystic knew what it was like to be in Eloin's place and knew exactly how to help her control her powers. Yejida had also taught her how the future is always changing and that her visions were showing her one of many possible ways an event could happen. Eloin then realized that she can't let those visions stop her from living her life and that she should instead use them to help guide her. Now she was filled with a new view on her powers and the determination to make amends with her sister.

Leaving the pride was easy, it was knowing that she was going to face her sister, who was sure to be angry, that was the hard part nonetheless Eloin was not going to turn back. Using her powers Eloin was able to lock onto Laith's aura with relative ease. But with each step closer Eloin's confidence began to waver ever so slightly. It wasn't long before Eloin spotted Laith's familiar dark coat up ahead. Calling out to her sister, Eloin ran up to Laith, immediately blurting out a series of apologies.

"I'm so sorry I left you for so long, but I needed help. I couldn't take seeing you die so many times... It was too much... I-I found someone to help me control my powers. I have more control over my visions now. And I know you are furious with me for leaving you and even if you don't forgive me, I want you to know that I did it because I wanted to protect you. And you were right, I had to stop letting these premonitions get between us. I'm so sorry I didn't listen.

Relationships:

Image
Liath
Laith is her best friend, motivator, and the one thing Eloin can't live without. As close as she was to her parents Eloin was even closer to Laith. The were practically in separable until Eloin's premonition put a huge strain on their relationship. Even after they split for a couple of years, Laith was always in Eloin's thoughts and she would always seek her out in her dreams in an effort to keep a hold onto what was left of their bond. When Eloin returned to her sisters side, she made a promise to herself to never leave her sister like she did ever again. They made a promise to stay together forever and Eloin was determined to keep it.

Image
Her parents
Sgorr was the one who helped Eloin build up her strength after spending most of her younger years sleeping. He hadn't smothered her as much but did worry sometimes when Eloin didn't want to take breaks between training sessions. Eloin has always looked to her father as a figure of strength and determination, and seeks his advice whenever she feels she isn't strong enough to deal with the things she sees in her visions. Even though she doesn't share his views on the pride she still enjoys spending time with him, and listening to his experiences with the pride.

Eloin spent most of her time with her mother, Peppa, as the two share elements. When her visions were taking a toll her, Eloin would always go to her mother for comfort. Most of the time her mother was able to ease her worries but some days Eloin just wanted a quick and easy solution. Because of all the time she spent with Peppa, Eloin picked up on her mother's view of the pride. And unlike her sister, Eloin joys the trips to the pride as she is curious about them and their life style.

Image
Marella
The lake cub's appearance had both frightened and interested her. When curiously finally won over Eloin was quick to go up to the cub and introduce herself. Eloin was delighted to know that Marella wasn't as scary as she looks, and was able to form a friendship with the cub. When Eloin learned of Marella's origins she could not help but bombard the cub with multiple questions. Thankfully Marella humored her and answered each question to the best of her ability.

Image
Xochipilli
Unlike Marella, Xochi's appearance intrigued her right off the bat and he too had to sit through all her questions. The lazy cub didn't seemed to mind, answering her question and even going off on a tangent, much to Eloin's amusement. Eloin is envious of Xochi's lazy nature as she wishes she could be that carefree and relaxed. Surprisingly spending time with the male helps to quell these feelings as she finds his presence puts her at ease.

Image
Orianna
During Eloin's temporary stay in the pride, she spent a lot of time with Orianna. The lioness' outgoing personality both reminded her a little of her sister and helped to keep her spirits up. Whenever Eloin needed to keep her mind occupied, Orianna would be the first one she would seek out and she eventually grew to see her as a role model.

During the times when Laith was off playing with Pandora or Marella, Eloin would always find herself attending one of Inna's classes. The first couple of times she choose to sit back and watch how he interacted with the other cubs. It didn't take long for Eloin to see just how much Inna loved his job and his students. With every class Eloin felt like she fit right in, almost as if she had been one of Inna's students from the beginning. Eloin found herself quickly growing attached to Inna, eventually growing to see him as an uncle figure, and even seeking him out outside of class. Whenever she would catch Inna on an off day, Eloin would use her Mind Link to help her understand what Inna was feeling, and do her best to help the older male feel better.

Yejida
Eloin wasn't even aware that the pride had a Mystic until she had a dream about the lioness. With only a vague pelt color to go by, Eloin had to ask around until someone was able to point her in the right direction. After finally finding Yejida, Eloin was quick to explain her situation, and was relieved to know that Yejida was able to help her. The Mystic knew what it was like to have powers that she had no control over thus becoming Eloin's mentor during her temporary stay in the pride.

Nyx
During one of their tips to the pride Eloin had been the one to ask the cub trainer, Nyx, for help with developing their powers. Even thought Laith was less than thrilled on the idea, Eloin knew that Laith would be grateful for the extra help. Eloin wanted to perfect their combo attack and knew that they would need the help of someone who had experience training cubs. As grateful Eloin was to Azarius for helping them even think of the idea, Eloin knew that they needed a cub trainer to help fill in the gaps Azarius left in his teachings.

Titus
The winged male's appearance was enough to pique her curiosity and she approached him without hesitation. She soon found out that his personality wasn't as pleasant as his wings. Never had she encountered someone so stuck up and rude. Now whenever Eloin happens to see him her first reaction is to stick her tongue out at him and call him feather brain. Perhaps it is unwise to antagonize him but Eloin never passes up the chance to get a rise out of him.

Image
Hyperion
Hyperion is a lion that Eloin hopes she never crosses paths with ever again. Just being in his presence makes the fur along her back rise, and her stomach twist with unease. She had heard many unpleasant things about the male, but that did nothing to compare to hearing his opinion of the pride straight from his mouth. He may have gone on about how danerious the pride was but Eloin can not help but thing he is the dangerous one. Nonetheless, Eloin makes sure she keeps her distance whenever she gets even a glimpse of him.

”All is fair in love and war...”
daring cautious suspicious protective ambitious clever
Daring: “adventurous courage” - A trait possessed by the lions of the Oasis, Sekhmet is naturally a daring young lioness who rarely fears anything, she is eager to learn and explore, but is always careful to exhibit some caution.

Cautious: “showing, using, or characterized by caution” - Sekhmet is the more cautious of the two sisters, never fully trusting anyone until they prove they deserve it.

Suspicious: “inclined to suspect, especially inclined to suspect evil” - Along with her cautious nature, Sekhmet exhibits suspicion towards many things that are too easily gained, and often assumes the giver will want something in return.

Protective: “having the quality or function of protecting” - While not being fully trusting of others, this does not mean Sekhmet will leave you for dead. She will aid others if they need her and will protect her sister with her life.

Ambitious: “eagerly desirous of achieving or obtaining success” - Despite originally not being eager to begin her journey, Sekhmet soon saw it as a chance to make her parents proud and a chance to prove the usefulness of her element and her skill.

Clever: “mentally bright; having sharp or quick intelligence” - Both sisters are undeniably clever for their age. Their parents taught them how to figure out new ways to solve problems. And, being on a quest for knowledge, they get cleverer and cleverer everyday.

╔══════════════════════════════ The Land of Our Birth ══════════════════════════════╗

{”We were born free...}
xxxxxxxI am called Sekhmet, and I have the power over love. Born with a cutely speckled and warm colored pelt, many see me as being just as sweet as my element, however, I can be just as deadly as any other lion.

xxxxxxxI am sister to Ceravindae, or Cera, as I call her. She has the power over air. Her pelt is speckled like mine, but is much lighter than my own, which I always found fitting for her element and her free spirited nature. Cera and I are twins, we’ve known each other all our lives and share a bond no one can break. Every memory I have made, was made with Ceravind, and out in this dangerous world, I’m glad she’s with me. We often visit the Graveyard of Bones to remind us of how viscous the world can become. Mother and Father told us countless stories of the battles that raged there, age after age. The skeletal bodies of countless lions, whose names have been lost to history, hold a mysterious yet magical air to them that my sister and I wish to understand. Sadly, every time Cera and I asked our parents to explain they avoided an answer. Father once said “Its a lesson for another time”. I sulked beside my sister as he gave Cera a nuzzle, but I trusted my parents and I trusted their judgment.

xxxxxxxCera and I were born in the place we know as the Oasis, though most seem to merely call it a myth or part of the larger area known as the Unknown Lands. Yet, the fact that I have the honor of knowing it’s true name and am able to proudly say I was born there is enough for me. However, it hurts knowing I may never see my beautiful homeland ever again…

xxxxxxxOur family are known as Wanderers, but only to the community we come from. Our traditions are centuries old and are so ancient that our people have fallen into myth and legend.
xxxxxxxI was taught that the Wanderers came to the Oasis as wild and free beings. We are ferocious and are known to be so strong that we don’t require any armor. Despite lacking armor, Wanderers by tradition decorate themselves in jewelry at the start of their journies. Our jewelry serves as a way to remember our home, and is the only physical evidence of the land of our birth.

xxxxxxxThe wearing of jewelry is but one of our many traditions, and we have to uphold as many as we can. But of all them there is one that must be upheld at all times. By our tradition, one must wander. Wander far and wide, learning as one travels. “Our lives are meant to be quests for knowledge,” as the elders would say, “But one must never wander back to where one once came from.

xxxxxxxAdmittedly, I am not fond of the idea of leaving home and being forced to trust those I do not know. I trust those of my family and of the Oasis, all i’ve heard of the outside world is of the foolishness and war-hungry lions that live in it. Despite this I am eager to prove myself, and I will do so by breaking tradition. Once the brightest star lights up the sky, Ceravindae and I, the speckled twins, will begin our journey and wander.. together.

{ So our journey begins... }
xxxxxxx”Here,” Mother said as she attached one of the last pieces of jewelry to my sister’s leg. I already had all my jewelry on, the cold of the metal already beginning to fade as I adapted to my new garb. I felt rather weighed down by the jewelry that had been placed on me, especially the one that crowned my head and face. I glanced over at Cera, she looked beautiful in her new ornaments and seemed to glow in the starlight. Even with my power over love, I can’t even begin to imagine what life would be like without Ceravindae. It would feel as if a part of me would be missing, so I’m immensely pleased I’m going to have her with me, even if I don’t show it...
Our mother had walked back up the sand dune to meet with our father. They made the traditional bow and said their farewell to us, (just so, as if it was easy). ”Safe travels, Wanderers!” It felt strange to finally hold such a title. I looked over to my sister and gave her a reassuring nod, and so we bid our last farewell with a deep bow before turning around to face the world ahead of us.

{ We discovered the Ravine... }
xxxxxxxIt’s been several weeks since Ceravindae and I had begun our journey. It was different living without the magical dust that had kept us fed back at home, Cera and I had to learn to hunt on our own in order to survive. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen a taxon in days. I pushed the last bits of h meal toward Cera, sensing her hunger. ”Eat it, you need it more than I do.” I said, ignoring the pangs of hunger in my own belly. Cera accepted my offer happily with a toothy smile, causing me to chuckle, ”Haha, clean your teeth before you do that. You look terrifying!” I teased as she let out a small giggle. ”I might just bite you for that, well.. on second thought.” I said with a smile as I got to my paws, ”..You remembered that you love me?” I asked, trying to fish for a compliment. ”I remembered that I love you. ..And that I wouldn’t want to scratch that beautiful fur of yours.” Cera replied with a smug grin.. ”Oh, come on. Says you with your battle scars!” I said, challenging her with a mischievous gleam in my eyes. ”What battle scars? I’ll whip this tail of mine, sister, just you wait!” Cera laughed, sensing the game they were about to play. ”So catch me if you can!” I shouted back at her as i dashed away.I looked back to see my sister happily giving chase.
xxxxxxxWe ran and played for a time, tackling one another and practicing battle moves, but we gradually begin to slow, spotting something in the distance. At first it appeared to be a small pink mass, I thought it may be a rare bundle of flowers or even some cloth, but on further inspection, we came to realize it was in fact a cub. We began to walk towards the stranger, "Hello?" Cera called out, once we were close enough. The cub immediately flattened her ears in surprise. Her ears were broad and flat, tracker ears. She heard us coming surely, I thought as we neared her. "P-please, don't come closer!" she begged causing my sister and I to stop in our tracks. "We won't hurt you, we just want to talk," Cera said but the cub scooted away. "Uh," I began before stepping a little closer, "I'm Diur, this is Ra. We're a little lost. Can you help us?" I asked. Slowly the cub looked up, the most prominent characteristic about this cub was the fact that she had a third eye. "I... I'm Gemstone..." she said looking from me to Cera with her tai-colored eyes, "You're not afraid of me?" We shook our heads no, "You're lost? But don't you have a family?" Gemstone asked beginning to open up a little more. "No, we had to leave our family," I said hesitantly, but this seemed to get Gemstone's interest. "I don't have a family either..." her tracker ears flattened for a moment but then came right back up, "You can stay with me tonight if you like, there's a small community living in the Ravine, not too far from here. They'll let you in if you need a place to stay for a while."
xxxxxxxWe went home with Gemstone that night. She lived in a beautiful den covered in all sorts of crystals and gems that made it seem as though the stars had joined with the earth. Gemstone turned out to be surprisingly clever, she managed to figure out our real names and pasts simply by using her element to look briefly into the past. She was very kind to explain her element and her mutation to us after learning Cera and I were knowledge seekers. "Why don't you stay with these Ravine lions you mentioned?" Cera asked to which Gemstone replied, "my, uh, my eye... they think its a bad omen." Apparently this particular Ravine group was a very superstitious one, but kind none the less. But quickly left the topic of the Ravine for the morning, instead Cera and I got to know Gemstone for the rest of the night.
xxxxxxxThe next day Gemstone showed us the way down into the Ravine. "We will meet again, won't we?" Gemstone said looking between me and Ceravind. I smiled to her, she had gained my trust, "Of course, and if we ever meet again, maybe we can stay longer." Gemstone smiled and nodded, "well then, Farewell!" she said, and with that, the kind three-eyed cub made her way back up the ravine. It didn't take long for Ceravindae and I to find the Ravine lions. They were actually a lot nicer than we had expected despite Gemstone's comment of their superstitious ways. The lionesses fretted over my sister and I a lot, they were shocked that to young cubs were out on our own especially in a time of war, and they welcomed us immediately. Aside from the lionesses there was also a fair amount of cubs who took interest in Cera and I and wanted to know why we dressed and smelled so strange. They were all so kind, but unfortunately our stay was cut short...
xxxxxxxA few days after our arrival to the Ravine, Cera and I were playing with some of the other cubs and showing off our elements. I had cast my Love Spell on one of the male cubs, who was now chasing me around in a dazed trance, while Ceravind attempted to get him to stop. "Come on, Diur! Knock it off!" she said but it was clear she was having some fun too. "Catch me if you ca-" I began to say but my words were cut off but the sudden sound of a large explosion. Everyone in the Ravine froze and turned heir heads towards the source of the sound. It was a massive hole, blown into the side of the Ravine, and from it pour dozens upon dozens of armored lions. They swarmed out of the hole like ants from their nest and the whole Ravine erupted into chaos.
xxxxxxxScreams and angry roars filled the air as lions fled and fought. Ceravindae and I instinctively ran towards one another and the other cubs ran to us as well, either out of confusion of what else to do or out of the gut feeling to stick together, I can't say. "We have to get them to safety!" I told Cera and she nodded in agreement. We looked to the group of cubs that had gathered around us. "Its the Rebels!" one said, "They're here to make us part of their army!" said another. I didn't know if this was true or just a tale told to scare disobedient cubs, but we were in real danger. Cera and I looked around at all of their terrified faces, then back at each other. "We can't all get away," Cera said, "There's too many of them." I looked around before stating, "Then we hide." With that Cera and I and the rest of the cubs fled from the Ravine lion's home.
xxxxxxxWe weaved through the ever shifting battle, sticking together the best we could, until we were able to get away, however, our escape didn't go unnoticed. "There!" A male lion roared and I looked back to see a pair of our attackers chasing after us. "Cera!" I called out and my sister immediately stopped and sent a powerful wind right at the armored lions, and knocking their paws out from under them. Meanwhile, I and the other cubs continued running. Eventually I found a small crevice in the side of the Ravine that opened up into a small cave, "Quick! Everyone inside!" I said as i looked back for my sister, who had disappeared behind the bend. I was the last cub inside but i waited before completely vanishing into the darkness. I had to make sure Cera was alright and just before i was about to rush back for her Cera appeared and dashed into the hole. "Good eye Diur!" she said,"Stay by the entrance, we can use our pelts to blend into the wall!" As we huddled up Cera send one last flurry of wind out from the crevice, destroying any scent trail we may have left.

xxxxxxxWe stayed in that hole for a long time, luckily none of the Rebels managed to spot our hiding place thanks to Cera and I's sand colored pelts. Eventually the sound of battle ceased and night fell, we finally felt it was safe enough to go back, but all was not well. Bodies littered the Ravine, familiar faces now frozen and lifeless. Some of the younger cubs began to cry out for their lost parents, when suddenly, a lioness appeared. "The cubs! They're alive!" she cried out and soon more lions appeared, the survivors of the surprise assault. While mothers and fathers rejoiced that their cubs made it safely home, Cera and I stood in silence, that was until, they took notice to us... "You two!" A lioness shouted, her face twisting into a snarl, "How dare you come back here?!" "What do you mean?" Cera said looking confused, "We just sa-" "Silence!" Another lion said cutting my sister off, "You two are the reason the Rebels attacked!" They gave Cera and I no time to explain ourselves, the lions of the Ravine simply bombarded us with accusations. "You somehow led the Rebels to us!" "Probably fleeing from the Pridelands! They followed you!" Accusation after accusation, there was nothing Ceravindae or I could do to make them reconsider. Thus we were forced from the Ravine, banished for something we didn't do...

{ We were betrayed and abandoned... }
xxxxxxx”I can’t believe they did this to us...After we saved their cubs… Ungrateful…” I muttered to myself as we walked. It had only been a couple of days since we had been forced from the Ravine. The group they called the Rebel’s had attacked and the Ravine lions blamed Ceravind and I for the assault. We were forced away so quickly that my sister and I had no time to gather our supplies for our journey, meaning no food… I had begun to lag behind, my stomach aching for food. I tried not to let it show but my sister knew me too well and decided it was time to rest. We had to stop and rest sooner than Cera would like to, but i was glad for the chance to rest. I panted quietly while Cera licked my fur in a comforting manner.

xxxxxxxThe grass was tall and provided us with cover and shade. I flicked my ears, something was nearby, my sudden attentiveness caught Ceravindae’s attention. ”What did you hear?” Cera whispered carefully. ”Something’s moving our way.” I replied quietly, making Cera look around.
xxxxxxxThe ground rumbled then and Taxons came running out of nowhere. Both Cera and I eyed one of the Taxons at the back of the group that bore a limp. But before found an opening, a full-grown lion launched past us striking down the animals ruthlessly. Cera growled at the lost chance, while I stared in amazement, either for the food or for the lion who came out of nowhere. Probably both.

xxxxxxxCera got to her paws and I followed suit. Cera approached the brute with me eyeing him from behind her. His fur was pitch black, fiery colours draped over his back, and he reaked of smoke. An icy mane atop his head, running along his neck. Although it was his kill, we needed the meat desperately. I snuck up behind Cera, ready to cast my spell to make him share his food, whenl he turned his massive head around, staring us down. Apparently we hadn’t been as sneaky as we thought. Cera spoke up before the situation could get dangerous for us. ”Hello, I’m Ra. And this is Diur.” I gestured towards my sister. Cera and I rarely gave our real names to strangers, especially in a situation such as this: being too hungry to fight and too tired to run. I could sense Cera preparing to strike him back with a gust of wind, however i wanted to urge her against it, seeing as the male was likely more skilled and deadly than us. ”Hello young ones. My name is Tamboro.” The other said in a calm manner, much to our surprise. ”Nice to meet you, Tamboro.” Cera said after overcoming the surprise of this fierce looking lions friendliness, “Would you mind sharing your meal with us?” It felt like she was pushing our luck now. ”I’m willing to share food with my fellow Nomads, don’t you worry.” He agreed, with a small smile before waving us over with his head.

xxxxxxxAnd so we got to share the meal with Tamboro. He was surprisingly kind, even going so far as to explain what a Nomad was, when I asked him. Whereas Cera asked for the direction to the Pride lands. Tamboro was very helpful and pointed us in the right direction, having been born in the pride himself, but the male could not promise us his company for he was heading in the opposite direction. What for, we didn’t care to ask, thinking it might just be sinister. And (for once) the less they knew, the better.

xxxxxxxWith food in our no longer rumbling bellies. We continued on in the direction Tamboro had pointed us. Gradually, grass began to appear, slowly turning into lush fields as we left the scorching dry lands behind us. Soon mountains and trees could be seen in the distance and the sky grew dark. As more and more stars began to show up Cera let out a yawn. ”Getting sleepy? You’re not the only one.” I stated, giving Cera a tired smile. ”We should find shelter for the night.” Cera replied, returning her sisters smile. She looked around, blinking to get her eyes to focus. A sleeping spot would have been easier to find in the woods, but the forest wasn’t close enough. Sekh watched as Cera eyed the trees in the distance, annoyed (at the missed opportunity). Cera then looked to the right and I followed her warm gaze to see that rocks littered the small field up to the nearby mountain. There must be a den or cave over there, surely. I looked to my sister and nodded and we turned our course towards the mountains.

xxxxxxxIt was getting colder out, we weren’t used to the mild weather and Ceravindae shivered slightly as they climbed. I found my way up rather quickly, leaving my sister to follow behind me. ”Did you pick up that scent I found earlier?” Cera asked me, making sure the wind carried her words. ”Someone’s been here before.., I found a pathway up. It should be to your left.” I replied, looking down at her twin before turning back to face a narrow path. The ground was trampled down and rocks had been moved to make the climb easier. Someone must have been visiting this place often enough, going through the effort of making a path.

xxxxxxxI vanished just before Ceravindae made it up the hill. I went ahead of my sister, sensing we weren’t alone, and soon picking up foreign scents. There were at least two distinct scents… I slowly went around the bend and spotted a den up ahead. I silently approached and peeked inside spotting two cubs. They seemed to be alone, and with their scents being the only two i could sense, it seemed they were on their own. "I found a den.." I said after returning to my sister. ”And..?” She pried. ”Well.. it’s occupied..” I stated with a shrug, Cera gestured for her twin to continue. ”Cera. It’s two cubs. Our age if I’m not mistaken. They seem.. I mean. It’s seems like..” I stopped, unsure of how to put the situation to words, suddenly. ”..You’re assuming that their parents aren’t around?” Cera tried, noticing how my expression faltered a bit. ”I’d said there’s more to it than. But, it doesn’t matter. They’re like us in a way? Right?” I said in a hopeful tone. ”You think they’d let us stay with them, at least for the night?” Cera asked. ”Yes, I think they would let us stay.” I said with a determined nod ”Well then, show me the way.” Cera said, she did not doubt her sisters deduction skills.

xxxxxxxThe two siblings, brother and sister, were awfully nice and the thought of getting some sleep was far gone. They stayed up late just talking, telling stories and laighing at each others jokes. ”I haven’t this much fun in days!” Sapphire chirped happily. ”I agree with you, sis!” Ruby laughed beside her. "So, where are you going next?" Sapphire asked suddenly. Cera knew they had to avoid the question somehow, it was either that or lying. Sekh yawned exaggeratedly beside her. "We should get some sleep now, what do you say?" Cera said, grateful for her sister getting an idea quicker than her. "Yeah, you're right." Ruby replied, laying down next to Sapphire. "Good night girls, see you tomorrow!" Sapphire smiled. And with that we were all asleep in seconds. Dreaming of adventures.

{ Welcome to the land of the Rebels… }
xxxxxxxWe left Ruby and Sapphire early in the morning to avoid further questions. Cera and I couldn’t tell them about the rebel attack, or about how they were to find knowledge about the two opposing sides of the war. The reason behind the battle.. The reason why they travel at all.. They couldn't let the possibility of friendship hold them back right now, they had to find answers and find them soon. So Cera simply explained that we had left home and nothing more.
xxxxxxxNow on our journey once again, Cera and I set out to find the Rebels. However there was a slight problem.. We had no idea how to find them. “Based on our last encounter, it seems like the Rebels go on quite a few raids.” I said, glancing at my sister as we walked. “Hm… Maybe we can find them at another raid or at least after one,” Cera replied. In the end we decided to continue in the direction Tamboro had directed us, towards Ethereal’s Pride. We figured that the closer we got to the Pride, the more raids there would be. “It’ll be dangerous, Sekh. We could get hurt,” Ceravind said looking at me with an eager glint in her eyes. “I know,” I replied flashing a mischievous smile, “But that’s what makes it fun!” Cera and I were eager to see some action on our journey, and to find the Rebels may just provide us with some.

xxxxxxxIt didn’t take long for us to find another Rebel raid in progress. After having been walking for several days right towards the Pride, our path and the Rebel’s crossed soon enough. The first thing we heard was the familiar thunderous BOOM of a massive hole being blown from the earth, the same boom we had heard when the Rebels attacked the Ravine. Ceravindae and I raced to where the boom came from, soon discovering a small band of Pride lions in an all out battle with a legion of Rebels. Cera and I didn’t get the action we so desired, deciding that it was best to reveal ourselves to each side one at a time, but that didnt mean we didn’t get involved. Cera and I are cubs after all, and all cubs enjoy messing with adult lions. We began simply by having Cera use her power over the wind to trip a few of the Pride lions and Rebels by knocking their feet out from under them. It was all good fun seeing the faces of these full grown lions as they clumsily fell to their paws.
xxxxxxxAfter a couple hours, the battle ended and the two sides began to go their separate ways, after gathering their wounded and giving each other a few angry glares and growls. However, the Rebels began to go back into the tunnel that they had formed. This was when my sister and i snuck towards the battlefield and silently followed the Rebels into their tunnel. After walking for a bit, one of the rebels picked up our scents. The whole group began to panic a little thinking their tunnel had been invaded by the Pride. “No no! It’s just us, actually.” Cera said stepping into the light (provided by a fire elemental). I followed close behind ready to use my own element on them if need be. “We saw your battle and were amazed by how strong you were!” Cera said, subtly praising them to get on their good side, “My sister Duir and I wanted to meet you.” The leader of the group soon came before us, she was a fierce looking lioness, who stated she was close to the rebellion's leader. “Are you nomads?” she asked seeing that we were alone, to which we nodded yes.She explained how she was impressed by how bold we were to stay and watch a battle let alone follow a group of dangerous lions to their hideout. She gladly let us come with them, saying the rebellion could use brave young lions like us.

xxxxxxxThe Rebels were surprisingly welcoming. They didn’t care about our previous rank as ‘nomads’. Many of them had been from the pride, but left to build a life where their element or mane shape didn’t determine their rank or future. All they seemed to want was an equal chance to prove their worth, and that to me at least made sense. I can’t speak for my sister’s opinion.
xxxxxxxWe stayed with the rebels for about a two weeks. We learned a lot from them, their origin, and why they were against the Pride. After revealing our elements to them, Ceravind and I even received some training. Some were fairly impressed by our skill level despite our age, and they were especially impressed and how Cera and I figured out how to make my seemingly harmless element into a rather deadly one. On more than one occasion, they offered to let us stay with them for a while longer, wanting us to fight for them, even offering to make us some armor once we came of age. However, Cera and I stayed true to our beliefs and politely refused, explaining we simply prefered a nomad’s life.

xxxxxxxIt was cloudy the day we left. Only a few stars had the strength to show through the dense veil that covered our sky. “You sure you want to leave?” one of the lions, who had become very fond of my sister and i, asked. “Yes we must go,” Cera said as I remained silent. A very faint red mist came from the end of my tail spade, it was too dark to see my element’s physical manifestation. Silently I manipulated the mind of the lion before us to grow more fond of us, “Well,” he said, “You’re always welcome here.” I smiled slightly, and my sister did as well, knowing very well what i was doing. “Goodbye now!” Cera said happily turning her head to look at me. “Let us go, Diur.” “Of course, Ra.” I replied, using her alias. With that we left the Rebel encampment, and began to head towards their opponents: the lions of the Pride of Ethereal.

{ Onwards to Ethereal’s Pride... }
xxxxxxx”How much farther do you think the pride is?” I asked my sister as we walked along, “We have to be close by now. Look at all the magic dust!” The magical dust that made it so one didn't need to hunt for food swirled all around us. We had had it back in the Oasis, and the sight of it sent a pang of sadness through my heart as it brought back memories of home. “I doubt we have to go much further Sekhm-” Ceravimdae stopped speaking, suddenly lifting her muzzle into the air and began sniffing. “Wha-” I began to ask when I too stopped, my ears swiveling around as I picked up the sound something moving not too far ahead. “Lions.” Ceravind concluded.
xxxxxxxCera and I began to head towards the strangers cautiously, it seemed like whoever it was, was just beyond the crest of a small hill. My sister and I moved in sync as we stalked our way up the bluff, and just as Cera was about to peak over the curve we were hit by a sudden splash of water from above. “Got ya!” A voice called out and two cubs appeared from the other side of the hill, “oh, you're just Cubs!” Said the young female who had spoken before. “We thought you were a pair of Rebels!” She let out a gentle laugh and came to help Cera and I up. I eyed the two suspiciously, clearly they were siblings. “It's quite alright,” Cera said shaking out her light sand colored fur before giving a friendly smile, “we shouldn't have snuck up on you. I'm Ra and this is my sister Diur.”
xxxxxxx”I'm Mariska and this is my brother Zodiac,”the female replied, “so are you two nomads?” I gave her a nod glancing at her strangely silent brother. “I'm guessing since you thought we were rebels, that you must be from Ethereal’s Pride?” I asked and Mariska nodded while her brother tilted his head, “how do you know what the Pride and Rebels are if you're nomads,” Zodiac asked, finally speaking up. I looked to my sister. “Well, we ran into some Cubs who came from the pride one day. They said if we were looking for a place to rest up for a while, we could try the pride.” Cera explained. “What cubs?” Mariska asked to which I replied, “Ruby and Sapphire.” Mariska got excited, “You've seen Ruby and Sapphire?! Then they're ok!” She looked over joyed, “we know Ruby and Sapphire, they left the pride not too long ago, though they should be adults by now considering their siblings Jet and Onyx got their adult forms.”
xxxxxxxWe stayed and talked with Mariska and Zodiac for a while. They wanted to know how their fellow Cubs were doing. Cera and I were glad to inform them of their friends’ wellness, and for the chance to gain Mariska and Zodiac’s trust. They asked many questions, eventually asking our elements, which we revealed and they happily did the same. Zodiac’s element completely fascinated me, and it became my turn to bombard the siblings with questions. But after a while, the sky grew dark and Mariska began to grow sleepy. “Come with us,” she said smiling, “I'm sure the pride with welcome a pair of Cubs like you, especially considering how you know Ruby and Sapphire, and how nice you are.” Cera and I were quick to accept her offer. And so we set off once again, with our guide now leading us to the center of Ethereal’s Pride...

Love Spell: The manipulation of others’ emotions,

Guardian Angel: Combo Power.
Enhanced by Cera's power.
Causes any nearby lions

And anyone the caster chooses,
Resulting is a small group of body guards.

Lack-love: The ability to remove any and
All feelings of love and affection from a
Subject causing them to feel no
Remorse in actions done in this state
Until the caster frees them.

Lost Love: The ability to reawaken
Memories of a lost loved one.
(Sekhmet sometimes does this to help
her or Cera sleep should she request it)

Mist/Wind of Love: Combo power.
Sekh focuses on one subject,
enchanting them while Cera spreads
Sekh’s powers over an area
merely with a sweep of wind,
making the love spell spread
like a plague.

Other elemental possibilities:
Can cause two lions to either

Lions of the Cosmos website wrote:A lion with the gift of love can: Cause others to fall madly in love with them, manipulate others, give others hope. (Typically never used in battle)

Sekhmet is rather skilled in her element, despite being a cub. Due to the struggle for survival, Sekh had to learn how to master her element quickly in order to ensure the best chances for her and her sister. Sekhmet is known for her skill to manipulate the minds of others by means of altering their emotions. Her defensive abilities are what she calls the Love Spell and the Guardian Angel, both of which involve making the target feel excessive amounts of love and affection. On the other hand, the offensive move she uses most is known as Lack-Love, where she removes all emotion from her target.
xxxxxxxPhysically, her element appear in similar forms to wind and poison moves. Like wind, her love element appears as a sort of mist dispersed via the air, or, if one compares her element to a poison element move, you could think of her element as a sort of love potion turned into an aerosol. Sekhmet creates her element but sending it out from her mouth, much like a fire blast or wind gust, or its formed in between the spades of her tail in a small condensed ball which she then flings at her opponent.
xxxxxxxThe effects of Sekhmet’s element varies by move, and each move’s ‘mist’ has a different color. Love Spell appears as a fairly bright red; Guardian Angel as a pale pink, almost white shade; Lack-love is a dark purple, and seems almost heavy; and lastly, Lost Love appears as a deep, dark red. As she learns new moves, new colors will be discovered.
xxxxxxxWhen it comes to the actual moves themselves, Sekhmets moves are rather potent, not requiring her total concentration (another example of how her element behaves like a poison). However, its effects do wear off after a couple hours, and Sekhmet can only affect those within a close range. In order to affect a larger range of targets, Selkmet requires the help of her sister, who aids in the dispersal of the ‘love mist’ by using her element of wind. This is yet another example of how the cubs rely on one another and of the close bond they share.

╚══════════════════ ══════════════════╝
╔══════════════════ ♦ Relationships ♦ ══════════════════╗
Family:
Ceravindae: Sekhmet has a deep love for her sister, and she’s perhaps the only one she ever opens up to and shows her true feelings. Cera is the only family Sekhmet has left and the two are inseparable. After they left their parents and had to live on their own Sekh became cautious and untrusting towards others, resulting in the intense bond her and her sister share. Due to this bond, Sekhmet swore to never use her manipulative abilities on her sister unless she says otherwise.

Friends:
Gemstone: Sekhmet and Ceravindae met Gemstone upon their arrival to the Ravine. The three-eyed cub welcomed them and began to slowly earn the twins’ trust. The other cub was rather timid, but after learning that Gemstone was shunned by others it caused Sekh to relate to her, since they cannot return to their home land aswell. Although Ceravindae can relate to Gemstone in some sense, compared to her and her twin. Gemstone was forced to leave her home, while Cera and Sekh wanted to follow their tradition. Cera and Sekh decided that if they ever met Gemstone again they would surely become friends.

Acquaintances:
Tamboro (owned by me): The twins have only ever met this lava elemental but on a single occasion, that being when the cubs had to ask for direction to the Pride. Tamboro, having originated from the Pride despite being a nomad currently, gladly gave the cubs directions before traveling in the exact opposite of them. He is one of the few Sekh didn’t use her element on.

Ruby and Sapphire: Sekhmet and Ceravindae encountered Ruby and Sapphire on one of the many occasions where they were looking for shelter. Being siblings themselves, Ruby and Sapphire gladly provided the twins with shelter, and did not require Sekhmet to use her abilities on them.

Mariska and Zodiac: Sekhmet and Cera met these cubs not long after being taken to the center of the Pride lands. Both cubs were curious about the twin sisters and quickly showed them kindness. Sekhmet is fascinated by both their elements, especially Zodiac’s, not having seen many with the element of darkness.

Enemies:
As merely a cub, Sekhmet hasn’t had the time to make many enemies besides the rebels, though there may be a few who disapprove of her use of her elemental abilities.

╚══════════════════ ══════════════════╝

╔═════════════════ ♦ Fun facts ♦ ═════════════════╗
Even though she managed to convince Ceravindae about becoming a warrior for the pride solely to gain knowledge, Sekhmet is willing to give this up for the sake of her sisters wishes. Believing that family should come before all else.
Both sisters wants badass battle scars like those of their parents.
Sekh secretly wants to settle down one day and have cubs of her own. And maybe even bring them to the Oasis to grow up the same way she did.
Unbeknownst to Sekhmet or her sister, there is one lion that Sekhmet's ability 'Love Spell' won't work on: the lion who is to fall in love with and become Sekh's mate.
The twins only share the name of their true home (the Oasis) to those they trust the most. However they will never share it's location or how to get to it.
Sekhmet's pelt resembles that of her fathers. She was often called a 'daddy's girl' back home because she looked up to him so much. Both parents had an unusually hard time letting their cubs go.

”I hear your voice where the wind blows...”
born leadercreative cleverdevoted distrustinginspiring
Born Leader: Ceravindae has always been the more out-going of the two, leading her sister and showing her where to go. Striking up conversations first for the two of them, while Sekhmet can jump in as she pleases. Cera can be open-minded and caring. Listening to those she trusts, and their opinions. She never has a problem working as a team, for that is what being a leader is all about.

Creative: One of the things that Ceravindae enjoys when it comes to her element. Is the fact that it allows her creativity to flow. She can use the wind to raise and shape light objects. Create fog creatures, make lions trip or simply dump water on herself and her twin, for the fun of it.

Clever: Cera can sense in which direction a situation is going, how it might end up for her if she doesn’t adapt to the rules. She’s exceptionally good at adapting and changing her behaviour to match others. She knows how one plays the social game and uses her wits every chance she gets.

Devoted: Cera will never truly stray from the path of a Wanderer. She wants to uphold tradition. Stay loyal to her parents, but most of all she just really likes the idea of finding more knowledge. She’s prepared to do almost anything to learn more, as long as she has her sister and her freedom left.
Distrusting: Both sisters are just as distrusting as each other. They question motives, the meaning behind actions and so forth.. they wouldn’t get far without each other.
Inspiring: Ceravindae has that positive attitude which makes others around her feel inspired. Lions may find themselves smiling when she’s around, listening intently to any ideas and stories she’s willing to share.

╔═══════════════════════════ The Land of Our Birth ═══════════════════════════╗
{”This is my beginning.."}
xxxxxxxMy name is Ceravindae, I have the Element of Air, my fur is speckled and pale and my eyes are piercing like the worst kind of danger. Nonetheless, I might just be the most inspiring and trustworthy lion you will ever meet and the most suited leader there is. At least I like to think so.

xxxxxxxMy sister is Sekhmet. Her Element is that of Love and her pelt is of a beautiful shade of brown. Darker than my own fur, yet speckled all the same. I always found her eyes much warmer than mine. More lovable, though she wouldn't agree with me if I told her. Sekhmet is my twin, my other half, my everything. She’s the only sibling I have. ..Or have the memory of, anyways. Lions lose themselves so easily out here. Many times have we visited the Graveyard of Bones, like a constant reminder. Our parents have told us stories of the battles which raged there. The meaning behind the bones, discoloured, turning to something akin to coal under the stars. There’s something special about it. Magical even, but our parents wouldn’t tell us more about it. No matter how we asked. ”It’s a lesson for another time.” My father had said. Touching his nose to my cheek gently, after my mother had nodded in agreement. My sister sulked beside me, but didn’t speak up. Our parents knew what they were talking about. They were the wisest of lions we would ever have the pleasure to meet and they had our full, well deserved trust. Nothing had the power to change that.

xxxxxxxWe were born in a desert known as the Oasis to some, or the unknown lands to others. My home never needed a name in my mind, only knowing that home meant family and safety was enough to me. At least for as long as it were to be my home.

xxxxxxxOur family are known as Wanderers, merely to ourselves. Our stories are old, unknown to most and not often told. To those who have heard of us we are only a distant memory, a myth fit for bedtime stories and not much else.
xxxxxxxFrom what I have learnt. Wanderers are wild and free beings. Lions counted as savages, so fierce and strong we fight without armour, our honour and proudness intact. However, traditionally we are given jewelry before we begin our travels, it is the only thing we are allowed to bring with us from home and on our journey, except for memories.
xxxxxxxWe were introduced to the word early on, our name and heritage. What we were. But I never knew how much meaning the name truly held. How much meaning it were to hold to me and my sister.

xxxxxxxNot all of us were born admits the unknown lands of the many deserts. Nor will our cubs be, if we have them. We may have many traditions to uphold, they might have changed over time and perhaps they will for many more. So listen closely, to the most important one of all. By our tradition one has to wander. Wander far and learn on your journey of all there is. Find your element, teach yourself everything by any means necessary. As long as one doesn’t wander back to where one once came from.

xxxxxxxWould we, the speckled twins, be another of many to abide to this tradition. Or will we be the first not to uphold our heritage. Well, one thing was for sure. Our family was already about to break one of many. For as soon as the brightest of stars rises today. Me and my sister will be the first to wander.. together.

{"It’s our time to wander now."}
xxxxxxx”Here.” My mother said, walking up to me, she attached the smaller jewelry to my paw and leg. A necklace laid over my head, past my ears and down my throat, the golden jewelry felt heavy around my neck. Weighing down on my shoulders. Like a reassuring hug. The last hug I’d ever receive from my parents. I turned to my sister, she looked beautiful in the blazing starlight. I was glad that I had her with me. Feeling alone and unloved was unimaginable to me. At least we were together.
Our mother had walked back up the sand dune to meet with our father. They made the traditional bow and said their farewell to us, (just so, as if it was easy). ”Safe travels, Wanderers!” The word felt foreign, I had never been called a Wanderer before, not officially. I looked over to my sister. Sekhmet nodded towards me reassuringly, and so we bid our last farewell with a deep bow before turning around to face the world ahead of us.

{"The Ravine was our first stop."}
xxxxxxxSekh pushed the last bits of her meal toward me, sensing my hunger. ”Eat it, you need it more than I do.” I accepted her offer happily with a toothy smile, causing Sekh to laugh. ”Haha, clean your teeth before you do that. You look terrifying!” I swallowed a mouthful and giggled at her comment. ”I might just bite you for that, well.. on second thought..” Sekh smiled. ”..You remembered that you love me?” Sekh tried, fishing for compliments. ”I remembered that I love you. ..And that I wouldn’t want to scratch that beautiful fur of yours.” Cera gave her sister a smug grin. ”Oh, come on. Says you with your battle scars!” Sekh said, challenging. ”What battle scars? I’ll whip this tail of mine sister, just you wait!” Cera laughed, sensing the game they were about to play. ”So catch me if you can!” My sister sprinted away, shouting back at me. I took her up on her offer eagerly, chasing after.

xxxxxxxWe ran and played for a time, tackling one another and practicing battle moves, but we gradually begin to slow, spotting something in the distance.

She was very kind to explain her element and her mutation to us after learning Sekh and I were knowledge seekers. "Why don't you stay with these Ravine lions you mentioned?" Cera asked to which Gemstone replied. "My, uh, my eye... They think its a bad omen." Apparently this particular Ravine group was a very superstitious one, but kind none the less. But we left the topic of the Ravine for the morning, instead Sekh and I got to know Gemstone for the rest of the night.

xxxxxxxThe next day Gemstone showed us the way down into the Ravine. "We will meet again, won't we?" Gemstone said looking between me and my sister. Sekhmet smiled towards her, Gemstone had gained her trust. "Of course, and if we ever meet again, maybe we can stay longer." Gemstone smiled and nodded. "Well then, farewell!" she said, and with that, the kind three-eyed cub made her way back up the ravine. It didn't take long for Sekhmet and I to find the Ravine lions. They were actually a lot nicer than we had expected despite Gemstone's comment of their superstitious ways. The lionesses fretted over my sister and I a lot, they were shocked that two young cubs were out on their own especially in a time of war, and they welcomed us immediately. Aside from the lionesses there was also a fair amount of cubs who took interest in Sekh and I, and wanted to know why we dressed and smelled so strange. They were all so kind, but unfortunately our stay was cut short...

xxxxxxxA few days after our arrival to the Ravine, Sekh and I were playing with some of the other cubs and showing off our elements. Sekhmet had cast her Love Spell on one of the male cubs, who was now chasing her around in a dazed trance, while Ceravindae attempted to get him to stop. "Come on, Diur! Knock it off!" Cera said, but in reality she was having some fun too. "Catch me if you ca-" Sekh began to say, but her words were cut off but the sudden sound of a large explosion. Everyone in the Ravine froze and turned their heads towards the source of the sound.

Sekhmet and I instinctively ran towards one another and the other cubs ran to us as well, either out of confusion of what else to do, or out of the gut feeling to stick together. "We have to get them to safety!" Sekh told me and I nodded in agreement. We looked to the group of cubs that had gathered around us. "Its the Rebels!" One said. "They're here to make us part of their army!" Said another. Sekh didn't know if this was true or just a tale told to scare disobedient cubs, but we were in real danger. Sekh and I looked around at all of their terrified faces, then back at each other. "We can't all get away.." Cera said. "..There's too many of them." Sekh looked around before stating, "Then we hide." With that the sisters and the rest of the cubs fled from the Ravine lion's home.

xxxxxxxWe weaved through the ever shifting battle, sticking together the best we could, until we were able to get away, however, our escape didn't go unnoticed. "There!" A male lion roared and Sekh looked back to see a pair of our attackers chasing after us. "Cera!" She called out and I stopped immediately. I didn't need to turn around to know what she was calling me for, I could hear the danger from the sound of her voice. So I turned around and sent a powerful wind right at the armoured lions, knocking their paws out from under them. Meanwhile, Sekhmet and the other cubs continued running. Eventually she found a small crevice in the side of the Ravine that opened up into a small cave. "Quick! Everyone inside!" Sekh said as she looked back for her sister, who had disappeared behind the bend. Sekh was the last cub inside but she waited before completely vanishing into the darkness. She had to make sure Cera was alright and just before Sekh was about to rush back for her, Cera appeared and dashed into the hole. "Good eye Diur!" I said, thankful for my sisters sharp senses. I searched her pelt for any damage, and that's when I got an idea. "Stay by the entrance, we can use our pelts to blend into the wall!" As we huddled up Cera sent one last flurry of wind out from the crevice, destroying any scent trail we may have left.

xxxxxxxWe stayed in that hole for a long time, luckily none of the Rebels managed to spot our hiding place thanks to Sekh and I's sand colored pelts. "The cubs! They're alive!" She cried out in relief, and soon more lions appeared, the survivors of the surprise assault. While mothers and fathers rejoiced that their cubs made it safely home, Sekhmet and I stood in silence, that was until, they took notice to us... "You two!" A lioness shouted, her face twisting into a snarl. "How dare you come back here?!" Hatred blazed in her eyes. "What do you mean?" I said, confused. Why was she mad at us? "We just sa-" I began. "Silence!" Another lion from the group cut me off. "You two are the reason the Rebels attacked!" They gave Sekhmet and I no time to explain ourselves, the lions of the Ravine simply bombarded us with accusations. "You somehow led the Rebels to us!" One of them exclaimed. "Probably fleeing from the Pridelands! They followed you!" Accusation after accusation, there was nothing Sekhmet and I could do to make them reconsider. Thus we were forced from the Ravine, banished for something we didn't do...

{"We were alone, yet again.."}
xxxxxxx”I can’t believe they did this to us...After we saved their cubs… Ungrateful…” Sekh muttered beside her. Hunting felt hopeless, they hadn’t found pray in days. Leaving the Ravine behind along with food and shelter was taking it's toll on the cubs. The Rebel attack had been anything but helpful, they were blamed for it all and forced to leave without a chance to speak up. Ceravindae was determined to keep going, but she could see that Sekhmet was ready to fall over any second now, which made her realize how tired she really was herself. Her sister is tough so she was barely showing any signs of hunger, but Cera's eyes are sharp.. They had to stop and rest sooner than Cera would like to. Sekh was panting quietly on the ground, regaining her breath. While Cera licked her fur clean, hoping to comfort her. While focusing on Sekh, Cera didn’t notice how the tall grass swayed in the wind.

xxxxxxxSekhmet peaked her ears suddenly, it caught Ceravindae’s attention. ”What did you hear?” Cera whispered carefully. ”Something’s moving our way.” Sekh replied quietly, making Cera look around.
The ground rattled then and group of Taxon’s came running. Cera had her eyes on the limping one of the bunch immediately. But before she found an opening, a full-grown lion launched past them striking down the animals skillfully. Cera growled at the lost chance, while Sekhmet gaped, either for the food or for the lion who came out of nowhere. Maybe both.

xxxxxxxCera got up on her paws, no longer hidden in the grass. Stepping over to the big brute. His fur was pitch black, fiery colours draped over his back. An icy mane atop his head, running along his neck. Although it was his kill. They needed the meat so desperately. Cera could feel Sekhmet sneaking up behind her in anticipation. Ready to cast her spell. Until he turned his head around, staring them down. Apparently they hadn’t been as sneaky as they thought. Cera spoke up before the situation could get dangerous for them. ”Hello, I’m Ra. And this is Diur.” Cera gestured towards her sister. She dared not give him their real names, since they had no control whatsoever of what happened next. To hungry to fight and to tired to run. Her only backup plan was to knock him back with a gust of wind. Giving Sekhmet enough time to beam into his head. ”Hello young ones. My name is Tamboro.” The other said, in a surprisingly calm manner. ”Nice to meet you, Tamboro. Would you mind sharing your meal with us?” Cera felt like she was pushing their luck now. ”I’m willing to share food with my fellow Nomads, don’t you worry.” He agreed, to their relief.

xxxxxxxAnd so they got to share their meal with Tamboro. The male seamed happy enough to explain what a Nomad was, when Sekh asked. Whereas Cera asked for the direction to the Pride lands. Although his guidance was very helpful. The lion could not promise them his company for he was heading in the opposite direction. What for, they did not ask, thinking it might just be sinister. And (for once) that the less they knew of his plans, the better.

xxxxxxxWith food in their no longer rumbling bellies. They continued on in the direction Tamboro had pointed them. The grass got greener the further they ventured, they were leaving dried out lands and striking warmth behind them. Soon enough mountains and trees could be seen in the distance. And the sky had gone dark. As more and more stars began to show up Cera could hear herself yawn. ”Getting sleepy? You’re not the only one.” Sekh stated, giving Cera a tired smile. ”We should find shelter for the night.” Cera replied, returning her sisters smile. She looked around, blinking to get her eyes to focus. A sleeping spot would have been easier to find in the woods, but the forest wasn’t close enough. Cera eyed the trees in the distance, annoyed at the missed opportunity. When turning her head to the right. She saw that rocks littered the small field up to the nearby mountain. There must be a den or cave over there, surely. Sekhmet had the same idea and so they steered their course to the right.

xxxxxxxIt was getting colder out, they weren’t used to the mild weather and Ceravindae shivered slightly as they climbed. Sekhmet found her way up fast, to Cera’s surprise. ”Did you pick up that scent I found earlier?” Cera asked her sister, making sure the wind carried her words. ”Someone’s been here before.., I found a pathway up. It should be to your left.” Sekh replied, looking down at her twin. Sekhmet was right, the ground was trampled down and rocks had been moved to make the climb easier. Someone must have been visiting this place often enough, going through the effort of making a path.

xxxxxxxOnce she Ceravindae got up the hill, Sekhmet was gone. Her scent still lingered in the air, but hers wasn’t the only scent still lingering. Cera could pick up the scent of two more lions, she feared her sister had ran into trouble. Before she got herself too worried Sekhmet came around the corner. "I found a den.." Sekh said and Cera knew that wasn't all she had found. ”And..?” She pried. ”Well.. it’s occupied..” Sekh started, Cera gestured for her twin to continue. ”Cera. It’s two cubs. Our age if I’m not mistaken. They seem.. I mean. It’s seems like..” Sekh stopped, unsure of how to put the situation to words, suddenly. ”..You’re assuming that their parents aren’t around?” Cera tried, noticing how her sister expression faltered a bit. ”I’d said there’s more to it than. But, it doesn’t matter. They’re like us in a way? Right?” Sekh said in a hopeful tone. ”You think they’d let us stay with them, atleast for the night?” Cera asked. ”Yes, I think they would let us stay.” Sekh said and she meant it. ”Well then, show me the way.” Cera said, she did not doubt her sisters deduction skills

xxxxxxxThe two siblings were awfully nice and the thought of getting some sleep was far gone. They stayed up late just talking, telling stories and giggling at each others jokes. "Yeah, you're right.” Ruby replied, laying down next to Sapphire. "Good night girls, see you tomorrow!" Sapphire smiled. And with that they were all asleep in seconds. Dreaming of adventures.

{"Welcome to Rebel lands.."}
xxxxxxxThe twins left Ruby and Sapphire early in the morning to avoid further questions. They couldn’t tell them about the rebel attack, or about how they were to find knowledge about the two opposing sides of the war. The reason behind the battle.. The reason why they travel at all.. They couldn't let the possibility of friendship hold them back right now, they had to find answers and find them soon. Cera felt excited just thinking about it. She had simply explained to the kind siblings that they had left home and nothing more. Not were home was, not even what they were doing here. Only that they were Nomads, traveling to find the Pride.

xxxxxxxNow on their journey once again, Ceravindae and Sekhmet set out to find the Rebels. However there was a slight problem.. They had no idea how to find them. “Based on our last encounter, it seems like the Rebels go on quite a few raids.” Sekh said, glancing at her sister as they walked. “Hm… Maybe we can find them at another raid or at least after one.” Cera replied. In the end they decided to continue in the direction Tamboro had directed them, towards Ethereal’s Pride. They figured that the closer they got to the Pride, the more raids there would be. “It will be dangerous, Sekh. We could get hurt..” Ceravindae said, looking at her sister with an eager glint in her eyes. “I know..” Sekhmet replied flashing a mischievous smile. “But that’s what makes it fun!” Cera and Sekh were eager to see some action on their journey, and finding the Rebels may just provide them with some.

xxxxxxxIt didn’t take long for them to find another Rebel raid in progress. After walking for several days right towards the Pride, their path and the Rebel’s crossed soon enough. The first thing they heard was the familiar thunderous BOOM of a massive hole being blown from the earth, the same boom they had heard when the Rebels attacked the Ravine. Ceravindae and Sekhmet raced to where the sound came from, soon discovering a small band of Pride lions in an all out battle with a legion of Rebels. Cera and Sekh didn’t get the action they so desired, deciding that it was best to reveal themselves to each side one at a time. But, that didn’t mean they couldn’t get involved. Cera and Sekh are cubs after all, and all cubs enjoy messing with adult lions. They began simple by having Cera use her power over the wind to trip a few of the Pride lions and Rebels by knocking their feet out from under them. It was all good fun seeing the faces of the full grown lions as they clumsily fell to their paws.

xxxxxxxAfter a couple hours, the battle ended and the two sides began to go their separate ways, after gathering their wounded and giving each other a few angry glares and growls. However, the Rebels began to go back into the tunnel that they had formed. This was when the sisters snuck towards the battlefield and silently followed the Rebels into their tunnel. After walking for a bit, one of the rebels picked up their scent. The whole group began to panic a little thinking their tunnel had been invaded by the Pride. “No, no! It’s just us, actually.” Cera said stepping into the light (provided by a fire elemental). Sekh followed close behind ready to use her own element on them if need be. “We saw your battle and were amazed by how strong you are!” Cera said, subtly praising them to get on their good side. “My sister Diur and I wanted to meet you.” The leader of the group soon came before them, she was a fierce looking lioness who stated she was close to the rebellion's leader. “Are you Nomads?” She asked seeing that we were alone, to which they nodded yes. She explained that she was impressed by how bold they were to stay and watch a battle, let alone follow a group of dangerous lions to their hideout. She gladly let the sisters come with her, saying. "The rebellion could use brave young lions like the two of you.".

xxxxxxxThe Rebels were surprisingly welcoming. At first glance they all seamed like ferocious beings to Cera. And the fact that they choose to live in dimly lit cave systems didn’t really help the fact. However, as it turns out. The Rebels were surprisingly welcoming. They didn’t care about their age or their previous rank as ’Nomads’. Many of them had been from the pride, but left to build a life where their element or the shape of their mane didn’t determine their rank or future. The Rebels all have their own stories, pasts and beliefs. They are just as nice as any other lions. And Cera likes how they’re all a big family in a sense. Perhaps and odd one, but a family all the same.

xxxxxxxThe cubs stayed with the rebels for about a two weeks. They learned a lot from them, their origin, and why they were against the Pride. After revealing their elements to them, Ceravindae and Sekhmet even received a bit of training. Some of them were fairly impressed by their skill level despite the sisters age, and they were especially impressed by how Cera and Sekh had figured out how to make Sekh seemingly harmless element into a rather deadly one. On more than one occasion, they offered to let the twins stay with them for a while longer, wanting the sisters to fight for them, even offering to make them some armour once they came of age. However, Cera and Sekh stayed true to their beliefs and politely refused, explaining that they simply preferred a Nomad’s life.

xxxxxxxIt was cloudy the day they left. Only a few stars had the strength to show through the dense veil that covered the sky. “Are you sure you want to leave?” One of the lions, who had become very fond of the two sister, asked. “Yes, we must go.” Cera said as Sekh remained silent. A very faint red mist came from the end of her tail spade, it was too dark to see the element’s physical manifestation. Silently Sekh manipulated the mind of the lion before them to grow more fond of her and her sibling. “Well..” He said. “You’re always welcome here.” Sekh smiled slightly, and so did Cera. Knowing very well what her sister was doing. “Goodbye now!” Cera said happily, turning her head to look at Sekh. “Let us go, Diur.” Cera smiled, using her alias. “Of course, Ra.” Sekh replied. And with that we left the Rebel encampment, and began to head towards their opponents: The lions of the Pride of Ethereal.

{"Towards the Pride of Ethereal."}
xxxxxxx”How much farther do you think the pride is?” Sekhmet asked Ceravindae as they walked along. “We have to be close by now. Look at all the magic dust!” Cera said in be-wonderment. The magical dust that made it so one didn't need to hunt for food swirled all around the cubs. They had had it back in the Oasis, and the sight of it made Cera happy. Dust is a magical sight to behold, ”Some say they are free stars, glowing orbs who escaped the sky.” Her mothers voice echoed in Cera’s mind, her heart ached just then, as she realized this was the furthest away from home they had ever been. “I doubt we have to go much further Sekhm-” Cera began, but stopped speaking to sniff the air. Sekhmet and Ceravindae weren’t the only ones around. “Wha-” Sekh began to ask but then stopped to listen. Picking up sound from something moving not too far ahead. “Lions.” Ceravindae concluded.

xxxxxxxSekhmet and Ceravindae began to head towards the strangers cautiously. It seemed like whoever it was, they were just beyond the crest of a small hill. The sisters moved in sync as they stalked their way up the bluff, and just as Cera was about to peek over the curve, both sisters were hit by a sudden splash of water from above. “Got ya!” A voice called out and two cubs appeared from the other side of the hill. “Oh, you're just Cubs!” Said the young female who had spoken before. “We thought you were a pair of Rebels!” She let out a gentle laugh and came to help Sekh and Cera up. Sekhmet eyed the two suspiciously, clearly they were siblings. “It's quite alright,” Cera said shaking out her light sand colored fur before giving a friendly smile. “We shouldn't have snuck up on you. I'm Ra and this is my sister Diur.”

xxxxxxx”I'm Mariska and this is my brother Zodiac.” The female replied, nodding towards her brother before continuing. “So.. are you two nomads?” Cera nodded letting her eyes wander over the females stunning blue pelt. “I'm guessing, since you thought we were Rebels, that you must be from Ethereal’s Pride?” Sekh asked and Mariska nodded while her brother tilted his head. “How do you know what the Pride and Rebels are if you're nomads?” Zodiac asked, suddenly speaking up. Cera could see Sekh look her way from the corner of her eye. “Well, we ran into some Cubs who came from the pride one day. They said if we were looking for a place to rest up for a while, we could try the Pride.” Cera explained. “What cubs?” Mariska asked to which Sekh replied. “Ruby and Sapphire.” Mariska got excited. “You've seen Ruby and Sapphire?! Then they're okay!” She looked overjoyed. “We know Ruby and Sapphire, they left the pride not too long ago, though they should be adults by now.. considering their siblings Jet and Onyx got their adult forms.”

xxxxxxxWe stayed and talked with Mariska and Zodiac for a while. They wanted to know how their fellow Cubs were doing. The sisters were glad to inform them of their friends’ wellness, and for the chance to gain Mariska and Zodiac’s trust. They asked many questions, eventually asking their elements, which they revealed and the colourful siblings happily did the same. Zodiac’s element completely fascinated Sekhmet, Cera noted how her sisters expression changed. And so it became their turn to bombard the siblings with questions. But after a while, the sky grew dark and Mariska began to grow sleepy. “Come with us!” She said smiling. “I'm sure the pride will welcome a pair of Cubs like you! Especially considering you know Ruby and Sapphire, and how nice you are.” Cera and Sekh were quick to accept her offer. And so they set off once again, with their guide now leading them to the center of Ethereal’s Pride…

╔═════════ ♦ Abilities ♦ ═════════╗
Wind creature(/Fog shadow):
Uses gusts of wind to pick up water,
creating a thick fog in any shape she’d like.
Monstrous or beautiful.
Whatever suits her creative mind.

Guardian Angel: Combo power.
Cera enhances Sekh’s powers.
Causes any nearby lions
to become super protective of the caster.
Along with anyone the caster chooses.
Resulting is a small group of body guards.

Wind of Love: Combo power.
Sekh focuses on one subject,
enchanting them while Cera spreads
Sekh’s powers over an area
merely with a sweep of wind,
making the love spell spread
like a plague.

Other elemental possibilities:
Cera can create clouds(/fog)
and dump water on others.
She can make lions trip with
a gust of wind or knock them
back. She can make the air
heavy and difficult to breath.
By creating a whirlwind of great
force she can pick up rather
heavy objects.

╔═══════ ♦ Rank Desired ♦ ═══════╗
xxCera has never desired a rank. She is
xxa Wanderer, no matter if anyone calls her
xxa Nomad. No matter if she pretends to be a Nomad.
xxShe only ever wishes to stick by her tradition.
xxHowever, one can change their mind.
xxYou see..
xxShe never thought she would desire a rank
xxuntil Sekh told her she wishes to be a Warrior.
xxFor, even though all Cera wishes for is to be
xxby her sisters side. Perhaps there will be a day
xxwhen they will have to go their separate ways.
xxAlthough she may hate the thought,
xxCera so desperately wants for Sekh to be happy
xxand to fight by her side, but at the same time.
xxShe wants to uphold her tradition, as an heir
xxto all Wanderers out there. The more she thinks
xxabout it, she’s not sure about what that really
xxmeans anymore, upholding the tradition of
xxa Wanderer. Does she always have to travel?
xxCan she never settle down? She has so many
xxquestions. But no one to ask. Only answers to find.
xxAnd they are out there somewhere in the world,
xxfor her to discover. As long as she keeps traveling.
xxShe will find them.

Air:

Lions of the Cosmos website wrote:A lion with the gift of air can: Create great gusts of force, clear fog or smoke, can glide when jumping for greater distances. (Uses the air around them: if on a planet with no air, they will be unable to use their gifts)

Ceravindae is not very skilled with her element as a cub, like her sister is. Cera relies on the strength of her muscles rather than that of her element. Whenever she uses her powers it’s (usually) for practice only. Never for fun and games. Cera takes her elemental abilities very seriously and is afraid she’d over-use them somehow. She only ever feels comfortable using her element if she combines it with that of her sisters. For she trusts her sister’s elemental control, more than she trusts her own.
╚══════════════════ ══════════════════╝
╔═══════════════ ♦ Relationships ♦ ═══════════════╗
Family:
Sekhmet: Ceravindae loves Sekhmet dearly. She is all the family Cera has, now that they have left their parents behind to wander. Sekh knows her well and she’s the only one who has her full trust. Getting separated would be unimaginable with the strong bond which they share. Seeing Sekh happy is the highlight of Cera’s day. Sekhmet is the best sister, friend and companion Cera could ever wish for.
Friends:
Gemstone: Ceravindae and Sekhmet met Gemstone while seeking shelter in the Ravine, the other cub was rather timid, but after learning that Gemstone was shunned by others it caused Sekh to relate to her, since they cannot return to their home land aswell.
Over the many years living on their own Ceravindae and her sister have met many lions. Many, save the few who showed kindness from the start, were often put under the spell of Sekh’s love element.
Tamboro: The twins have only ever met this lava elemental but on a single occasion, that being when the cubs had to ask for direction to the Pride. Tamboro, having originated from the Pride despite being a nomad currently, gladly gave the cubs directions before traveling in the exact opposite of them. He is one of the few Sekh didn’t use her element on.
Ruby and Sapphire: Ceravindae and Sekhmet encountered Ruby and Sapphire on one of the many occasions where they were looking for shelter. Being siblings themselves, Ruby and Sapphire gladly provided the twins with shelter, and did not require Sekhmet to use her abilities on them.
Mariska and Zodiac: Ceravindae and Sekhmet met these cubs not long after being taken to the center of the Pride lands. Both cubs were curious about the twin sisters and quickly showed them kindness. Cera took a liking to Mariska immediately, her overall positive attitude and shimmering blue fur, are both fascinating attributes. Whereas Zodiac’s calm if not feisty temper is rather interesting.
Enemies:
To Ceravindae any lion she meets is an enemy until they have proven themselves worthy of her trust and if they are lucky, loyalty. Although her loyalty is hard won.

╚══════════════════ ══════════════════╝

╔═════════════════ ♦ Fun facts ♦ ═════════════════╗
(After some convincing arguments from Sekh.) Cera likes the thought of going through warrior training, merely for the knowledge. However, she does not wish to stay with the Pride. Sticking to their rules, fighting their wars. She will remain a wanderer by her sisters side.
Both sisters wants badass battle scars like those of their parents.
The sisters have many aliases, one of many being Ra and Diur. (Ra is Old Norse for speckled while Diur is Old Norse for animal, together Radiur means Roe deer.)
Sekh can only focus her powers on one single lion at a time, close range. While Cera’s powers are long range and with powerful winds under control, she can pick up the chemicals Sekh produces and spread them like wildfire.
Thing is, they’re are going to claim that they come from the Oasis - yet stick to their tradition of not going back to the place where one comes from. So.. they can’t really prove that they are from the unknown lands and will refuse to show any lion the way to the Oasis.
No Wanderer really knows how many of them are still out there. Sending out Ceravindae and Sekhmet to wander together was as much for convenience as it was for safety. (There’s more behind it than that, but said knowledge lies with their parents.)
