Kingsley had always been one of little words. Not that he had much to say anyways. No, he was the type that stared off into space, only to be shaken back to earth with the feeling that he was being watched, despite there being no one near. It was a common occurrence, though he never knew what it was. Some called him crazy, called him strange. Different. Hence the reason he seldom spoke. He knew they wouldn't believe him anyways. He always felt the chilling stare of being watched whenever he was about to do something dangerous, or felt a loving gaze whenever he was simply doing as she did in her day-to-day life. The feeling of being watched was something that, eventually, like all things good and bad, faded. He felt the gazes less and less, but whenever he was doing something unsafe, the feeling came right back, colder and more judgmental than ever.

Little did he know that there was reason for this. The reason being this: Everyone has soulmates. But have you ever wondered what happens to one when the other dies young? Not many have, though there are many different answers to this question. Some being that they would live on normally, others would never find love, et cetera. Though the true answer is that they don't truly die. They will watch over you like a guardian of sorts until the day you die, protecting you to make sure you have a long, happy life until you are ready to join them. Of course, no living being knew of these protectors [WIP]

Smoke billowed upwards in forms of intricate swirls and chambers while inside an encasement of Zycrotyn (zz-eye-crow-ton) metal, a tattered, twisted leg stuck out from a pile of wreckage, a slight tremble giving away to the life attached. "Ileko," coughed a strange sounding voice, the word seeming gibberish to the investigating Kalon as he tip-toed closer, keeping his head low. "Ileko," rose again, leg falling limp.

"Don't worry I got you," Kellin assured, dropping his pack and digging into the strange encasement not all that afraid of what could be inside, all he knew was whatever, whoever it was, was hurt.

Grasping a thick clump of skin and fur between his loose jaws, Kellin wriggled him from the smoking pile of metal and dragged onto a cool, shaded patch of tall grass, the long strands sprouting up, poking him in both the nose, mouth, and eyes as he let the stranger go.
