favorite video game and why?:
- As I'm sure you all know, Elder Scrolls is by far one of the best video game RPGs out there, with amazingly detailed realms and incredible storylines. While Lewis can definitely get into Skyrim and slay dragons for hours on end (all with great swords, of course, because the perks are awesome and the feeling of up-close combat is superior to archery), Lewis absolutely loves it's predecessor, Oblivion. While the graphics are sub-par compared to the popular Skyrim, Oblivion offers an incredible experience to each and every player with the Elder Scrolls' traditional open-world options, allowing players to bypass the main storyline altogether and play as they please. The entire game mainly takes place in a land known as Cyrodiil, and offers many fun and immersive quests, some which involve helping NPCs solve minuscule problems, while others are more whimsical, such as the ever-fun A Brush With Death. Not to mention, Oblivion also has your character working tremendously hard on their skills, especially if you're to join up with certain guilds. Heck, the Thieves Guild expects you to steal an Elder Scroll from the Imperial Palace without getting caught! Talk about tough. While he in no way is saying Skyrim is any less of a game, it seems to be more oriented around relentless slaying and making decisions that, well, are predetermined in the sense you can't move along in the main story without doing something you don't want to. (I mean really, nobody wants to kill Paarthurnax! But you have to or else the Blades won't help you save the world...) But mainly, and most importantly, Lewis considers himself a die-hard gamer, so he's very critical as to the aspects of both games. That, and he loves when the guards in Oblivion shout, "All hail the champion of Cyrodiil" once he's completed the main quest line and literally saved the world.
