accessory(ies) ;; BlepArin's sole accessory is a small glass jar with a single flower petal in it. They feel like it gives him strength and determination in life, and it pushes him to keep going, even when times get tough. He's just trying his best, he says, and the flower petal helps him stay strong and collected. He hopes to maybe add more to his lil jar, someday.

accessory ; A single, golden and blue feather she wears like a laurel wreath.
explanation ; At midnight, Oriel's family's grandfather clock would create a sound unlike any other. Instead of it's usual chimes, there was birdsong. A beautiful melody of hundreds of birds! Oriel would awake to the noise each night. And then the magic would happen! Birds of blue and gold burst from her bedroom window and whisked Oriel away into a world of magic, their own secret garden. As they flew Oriel through the clouds and to their home, they'd sprinkle her in faerie dust and feathers and birds would appear on her pelt. The birds and her became the best of friends, and they'd come each night. Once they got to the birds' haven, they would tell her stories of the world's mysteries and past. The first night, however; Oriel could not understand their chips, so they blessed her with the gift of the bird's language and opened up her blind eye for only the nighttime. They also gave her one of their feathers and wove it into her fur. After hours, when the sun kissed the horizon, the birds would send Oriel back to her bedroom. She would sleep for hours afterwords as the sun took over the sky with good dreams. Once she got up for the day, the feather would disappear and there'd be no other trace of her adventures. At first she feared she had lost her feather. But once she woke up at midnight again, she'd find her feather by her bed as if it had fallen off overnight and she simply had not noticed, though she had searched high and low the previous morning for it. And so, the birds would take her once again, and the first thing they'd do was reweave her feather back into her fur.
...
But nothing lasts forever. Oriel is growing up, and moving past her childhood toys and dreams. But she would still eagerly await her night with the birds. However, on the night of her thirteenth birthday, the birds did not come, and the next morning she awoke with her feather loosely and messily tied onto her head. It was the first night they had not come, and they didn't come ever again since. It will forever sadden and bug Oriel. Why? Why wouldn't they come back? Why wouldn't they tell her why? Was it because she was too old for fantasy? She would get up some nights and wait by her window, or fall asleep by her window, waiting for her feathered friends. But they never came.
...
Oriel still thinks about the birds each night and wears her feather each day. Whenever someone asks where she found it, she gets lost in a daydream and her eyes get bleary. She has never been able to answer. But she eventually had to move on, for her family and friends begin to worry about her behavior and she was loosing sleep. She often wonders if it was all a dream, but then how had she gotten her feather? And, whenever she's out and about in the blinding daylight, she swears she can hear that same birdsong randomly race with the wind at times. Also, she swears she's head a bird or two greet her whenever she and the feathered creatures cross paths in a language she can understand, and sing the most beautiful songs only she can hear.
