Brief History: Deep in a secluded section of the Rocky Mountains there was a relatively small herd of wild mustangs. Every so often a few of these secluded mustangs would wander away from the herd and manage to be caught in the annual round ups.

A bay roan mare with a striking badgerface happened to turn up during one of the annual round ups. Her features were unlike any of the other mustangs caught in the round up. Her badgerface and blue eyes where a head turner for many interested buyers.

This mare seemed agitated by the other mustangs in the pen and was trying to the best of her ability to keep to herself. Every now and then she appeared to stare at the water being poured from a hose into buckets, but not because she was thirsty, there was plenty of water in her pen.

When this mare was auctioned off there was not a single person in the area who would not have died to have her. She was sold for surprisingly less than what was expected. This was probably due to her being agitated and flighty in the pen with the other mustangs.

Once she was brought out of the pen and stood on her own, she was much more calm and complacent with the attention given to her. Being a wild horse she was not exactly easy to handle but she was definitely more docile than some of the others. She was then shipped to her new home.

Trust took a while to gain, as she was in seclusion for a major part of her life. Slowly but surely it was gained and once that feat had been accomplished she was given a bath. Once she was dry, it was almost as if her coat seemed to shimmer like a fish.

Seeing how her coat made her shimmer like she had fish scales and using the knowledge gained on her love of water from building up her trust her owners decided to name her Pisces and register her under the name Astrology.

However, this is not the end of the story, there are always more adventures to be told. ♓

MAJOR WIP

As I hand over the money, I'm given a small box.



"This has all of the mare's info." her previous owners tell me. I accept the box graciously. I can hear Koi kicking around in the trailer though, so I don't procrastinate. With a smile and a wave, I head back to my own farm.

Later that night, after the mare's settled in, I explore the box. The first thing I find a sheet of paper, her makeshift sale papers. I drop a bit of water on it, but at least it fits in with the first theme she has going.



The next thing I see is a picture of her as a foal.



She's different, but recognizable. It's a very cute picture.

I flip through the pages more, enjoying myself. I glance outside, realizing that this gorgeous mare is mine. With a smile, I head to bed, awaiting tomorrow when I can ride her for the first time.
