They're based off 1930's cartoons ;c; I added some more markings to make them a little more different than most of the cartoons from way back when.

Rucksack items?: Coffee maker. It needs an outlet, but dang it if this boy is going to go one day without coffee. Then of course he needs a bag of his favorite coffee roast. He'd also take his favorite volume of the Soul Eater manga and a bird watching guide book. He'd have a journal and some pens because he's a writer and he always needs something to write on in case he gets a great idea. His paws are almost always ink stained, he gets that into it. He would tie a couple bells to his rucksack, because if he's trekking through the woods, there might be bears!

'bomb'. The circular object is just like cartoon bombs
seen in older shows, with a 'KABOOM', 'POW' or 'BANG'
written across the front in white lettering. It seems
that the bomb actually 'explodes' in the comedic sense
turning into little 'explosive' visualised sound effects!
The bomb also appears to regenerate, so Vintage always
has one at his disposal, should he ever need it.
