Why do they wear the rings?:

Isabella was trapped in a cruel world, no freedom, no fun, no colours, everything was just black and white. She imagined a bright world, where Viscets could play. But no one believed such a world existed. Isabella's best friend, Roy, asked Sir Kodi, the ruler of the place, to leave this world. The next day, Isabella looked for Roy, but he was nowhere to be seen. After 5 years, Isabella still couldn't find Roy. She didn't know what happened to the Viscets that asked to leave. She was curious, but she couldn't risk it. Every Viscet who left was never to be seen again. Isabella had to leave this place, somehow. She had never seen colours, but she knew they existed somewhere in her heart. A few days later, she saw a tiny crack in the wall. She looked through the crack, and saw something extraordinary. Something no Viscet living in this cruel world had ever seen.

Light. A bright light. It was coming from high above her head. "Look Larry, I found something special! Come here!" Isabella said to one of the Viscets. The Viscet, Larry, couldn't see anything special through the crack in the wall. "Isabella, why are you dreaming? We'll never get out of this place, just stop trying. There's nothing we can do!" Larry said. "But sitting here, doing nothing won't get us anywhere, can it? No, it can't. We have to try. We can't give up, we have to get out of here!" Isabella said. Larry knew Isabella was right, but he didn't think it was possible. Isabella had a plan. She wanted to gather all the Viscets trapped in the tiny room to dig in the sand beneath them to create a tunnel. This tunnel, would lead them to the other side of the wall. Isabella convinced the other Viscets to try, and they did, but were careful that Sir Kodi didn't see them.

As they started to dig, Isabella started to find something called teamwork. As they kept digging, they eventually finished with their tunnel hours later. They crawled through the tunnel, and no one could believe what they saw. Everyone escaped the place by going through the tunnel, and everyone was free. Isabella saw a human come up to her. That human explained to Isabella what the "cruel world" she was trapped in was called. The human gave Isabella some golden rings. It was a gift for helping the other Viscets escape. She thought it was the most beautiful colour she had ever seen. She has always loved those rings and ever since that day, has never taken them off.

Why do they wear the rings?:
Each one is a 'level' for the thefts and crimes she commits. She considers herself to be a partially skilled thief, taking pride in the jewelry she's obtained from various jobs. She assorts her levels by number - 0 is a newbie, and the higher the amount of rings, the better a thief you are. She aims to get as many as she can to become the leader of the crime ring she's currently involved in.

Why do they wear the rings?: Amythyst is a HUGE Lord Of The Rings geek, who loves everything about it. One of her favorite games to play is "how many references can I make before someone notices" which usually takes a while. Her room is covered in posters and even a few ply shoes of the characters. And of course, to top it all off, she needed her very own "precious" and she does call it precious. The rings on her tail represent her three favorite characters; Legolas, Frodo, Tauriel. Each has their name engraved in it. The remind her of one of those bracelets that humans wear that say WWJD. Although for her, in a difficult situation, she tries to act how one of them would (which doesn't always end well).

Why do they wear the rings?:

The 3 rings on her tail are a keepsake from an old friend. Crin used to have serious anxiety problems and was always anxious. To help her feel confident her friend gave her the 3 rings. Why? 3 interlocked circles are the symbol of the Triple Goddess. A powerful and strong-willed women. Crin's friend told her that whenever she doubted herself she should look at the rings, remember the goddess, and have faith in herself. It has really helped Crin become the viscet she it today. A strong-willed, confident, and kind women who believes in herself. She know wears the rings not because she needs the reminder, but as a sentimental connection to her friend. The ring on her finger though is there because even though Crin is a different viscet now, she still has some anxiety problems. When she gets anxious she twists the ring a few times and the act focuses he mind and calms her down.
