"I am his voice, as he is my eyes."It was always the twins' wish to stay with each other forever. Neither promise of love, nor money, nor adventure could ever seduce the twins apart, even though they did have their dreams. So it was only to be expected that when little Sariel fell ill, even after their parents gave up hope of any sort of cure or miracles, that Asriel would resort to very extreme measures so that he'd never have to lose his sister. And, if all else failed, he'd find a way to follow her into the great unknown. So, terrified of the repercussions but too stubborn to give up on his twin, Asriel sought out the dark part of the forest, and made a deal with the witch: The two twins would become one being, Sariel's disease would disappear, and one would never live without the other.
But the deal did not come without sacrifice."My sister and I, you will recollect, were twins, and you know how subtle are the links which bind two souls which are so closely allied." ~Arthur Conan Doyle, The Adventure of the Speckled BandAsriel, with his pure white coat and blue shine, was the calmer of the twins, and wanted nothing more than to just lay back and enjoy the sunlight. He was a vocalist, with a tenor voice that could melt the hardest hearts and entrance even the shyest of creatures. He loved to sing and dance among the flora of the forest, and one day had hoped to be a music artist and inspire the world with music.
For his sister, he gave up his voice."We came into the world like brother and brother;
And now let's go hand in hand, not one before another."
~William Shakespeare, The Comedy of ErrorsSariel, with her pitch black coat and purple shine, was the adventurer of the twins. She loved to explore and experiment, learning everything she could about the world around her as fast as she was able. She loved puzzles and the visual arts, and would often dance with her brother, though she couldn't sing. She dreamt that she'd see the world with her brother, until illness wrenched her dreams away from her. Knowing what her brother was sacrificing for her life, she gave her own, so that the burden would not be his alone.
For her brother, she gave up her sight."Body and spirit are twins: God only knows which is which." ~Algernon Charles SwinburneAfter the ceremony that the witch performed, one which neither Asriel or Sariel can remember, they woke up in this form. Two hearts, two minds, one body, entwined together forever. Two collars adorned their necks, given by their new master, a gift of telepathy and a symbol of their promise."You may think our collars are a shackle, but you would be wrong, human;. Our collars are symbols of our freedom, because our only bindings are to one another."

marking to possibly enter if I have time?
going with the idea that both are girls and extremely flirtatious, and tend to either love or hate each other (no in between). They tend to have to compete with each other at all times, and are very good at finishing each other's sentences.

A former army general, who's desire to defend his people
left him practicing the dark arts of Gong Tau , chinese
black magic. In an effort to create a clone of himself,
he instead left himself a disillusioned misfit of nature
trying desperately to quiet the whispering in each of
his minds, the whispers of his own self and own doubts
tearing him down.
A powerful warrior of his people, Sui-Yen was a highly respected and revered general who's goals lie in defending those he cared for and so desperately sought to shield from harm. Fighting the encroaching armies of the nearby Guowei province, no amount of honor nor desire to protect his home could stop their offense from taking control, destroying their villages and shattering their defense. In a last desperate plea to rescue his homeland, he turned to the dark magics of Taoism, Gong Tau, and a practitioner of its dark arts, a gentleman by the name of Yaochuan.With the aid of one such spell, he sought to duplicate himself , and further duplicate his armies to offer more men and fill in the gaps of soldiers they so desperately needed. However the magics were dangerous, and a fatal warp in direction left the process half complete. Sui-Yen found himself...battling a second mind of his own.
The two heads are not companions. Because Sui-Yen is, himself, stubborn and very independent, he does not agree with himself. They do not think similarly, do not process things together, and may form entirely different opinions, in some cases, just to argue. They avoid speaking to each other if possible, perhaps because having to listen to the other is a terrible reminder of their situation. He disgusts himself,is often appalled by his own words, his own orders in battle.They share memories, share a name, and share a body. They are the same person. And yet, they can't understand one another. His mind is too muddled with hatred for his situation to try and come to a compromise and make an effort to work at one with his own ambition. The only difference between the two , are the strange marks on their tongues. Left as a result of the magic, and only that marking the original from his clone.
Understanding himself is a battle no war that Sui-Yen had fought before could have prepared him for.Truly an enemy he'd be battling until the end of his days.✥"This wasn't supposed to happen"✥
