You enter the dark room, the lighting is dimmed by candles, and the smell of incense burns through your nose. You're very anxious, and your heart is beating very fast. You notice various trinkets and charms displayed across the area; like lanterns, and such; but you don't take too much time to notice until you see before you, sitting on the floor at a small round table with a light blue cloth draped over it, is Sidra Simone. She was wearing a top knot head wrap, nearly completely covering her hair. She also wore lots of bangly braclets, a long dress nearly passing her feet, and a solemn look on her face. The solemn look wasn't frightening or sad, it was comforting almost. You start to introduce yourself, but as soon as you take your first breath to begin, she holds out a hand and says, "Payment." It catches you by surprise, and you fumble to open your bag to give her the coins. She takes them and puts them on the ground next to her. "Now," Says Sidra, in a soothing voice that brings you slight joy and comfort, "What is your name?" You tell her your name, and she smiles in a slightly dismaying way, but you pay no mind. "Okay," Her voice reassuring, she takes your hand. "I can't help but feel that I'm feeling something around you," she explains , "it seems as though you've been having a hard time for about the past few years." A wave of sadness and discomfort washes over you and you feel a burning in the back of your throat. She begins to apologize, but you assure her that it's alright. "As I turn over to the other side, I can feel a woman's presence. I'm imagining long dark hair. She feels very orderly and kind. Does this seem familiar?" It does. You nod, but you want her to stop. She shouldn't be talking about your friend like this. Hot tears begin to form in your eyes. You look at the vibrant patterns of the drapery inside of the tent to distract yourself until you're calm. Before you know it, you hear an unfamiliar ringing sound snap you back into reality. "Ah," Sidra says, "Our session is over. I hope this experience opened your eyes."
