- what a gorgeous design aa mark
Aaron is at that age where he should be thinking about what he wants to do with his future but instead of that he’s really just procrastinating the heck out of everything. He is in denial about the fact that he’s going to have to grow up soon and he’s stalling his graduation plans until the very last second. Not that he even has graduation plans but ya know, out of sight out of mind kind of thing.
It’s not just that he’s lazy, he just can’t seem to find anything he wants to do career wise. The only things that interest him are magical games with wizards and potions in them but those kinds of jobs don’t exist. In fact the only thing he thinks he enjoys doing is playing games on his laptop and leveling up his characters. He practically lives for his online gaming life which is kinda pathetic when he thinks about it.
All these worries about the future make him a pretty stressed person, but on the outside he always seems laid back. Like, really laid back. So far back the recline on his life is at the breaking point. But that’s just a facade because on the inside there’s this constant panicked screaming filtering in his head. Sometimes if you look deeply into his eyes you can see the raw pain of someone who had no self control (a.k.a me). Poor guy.
At least to his friends he’s a cool guy. His sense of humor is spot on but sometimes he jokes about things that he shouldn’t prod at. He also has a bad habit of joking about serious issues in his life just because he doesn’t want other people to worry about him. It makes him uncomfortable when people try to talk to him about his future and he tries to always dismiss the topic imminently. It’s not like he hasn’t thought about it, it’s just when he thinks about it he gets frustrated and all that stress just builds and builds.
His self confidence is also lower than it should be which makes it hard for him to find anything he’s good at. He’s a huge dreamer with all these crazy ideas but when it comes to actually doing anything he never follows through. Aaron is ambitious in his thinking but when his ideas don’t turn out the way he planed he gets upset. His perfectionist mindset tells him that if it’s not exactly how he envisioned it then it’s not good enough, so even if it turns out great it’s all garbage to him.
What he wants most right now is to be left alone in his game world until he’s forced into growing up. He desperately wants to escape reality and join his beloved characters in their action packed world but that’s just not possible. Until then he’ll keep crying on the inside and praying for someone or something to just take away the stress of an unwanted adulthood.
