A former army general, who's desire to defend his people
left him practicing the dark arts of Gong Tau , chinese
black magic. In an effort to create a clone of himself,
he instead left himself a disillusioned misfit of nature
trying desperately to quiet the whispering in each of
his minds, the whispers of his own self and own doubts
tearing him down.

A powerful warrior of his people, Sui-Yen was a highly respected and revered general who's goals lie in defending those he cared for and so desperately sought to shield from harm. Fighting the encroaching armies of the nearby Guowei province, no amount of honor nor desire to protect his home could stop their offense from taking control, destroying their villages and shattering their defense. In a last desperate plea to rescue his homeland, he turned to the dark magics of Taoism, Gong Tau, and a practitioner of its dark arts, a gentleman by the name of Yaochuan.With the aid of one such spell, he sought to duplicate himself , and further duplicate his armies to offer more men and fill in the gaps of soldiers they so desperately needed. However the magics were dangerous, and a fatal warp in direction left the process half complete. Sui-Yen found himself...battling a second mind of his own.

The two heads are not companions. Because Sui-Yen is, himself, stubborn and very independent, he does not agree with himself. They do not think similarly, do not process things together, and may form entirely different opinions, in some cases, just to argue. They avoid speaking to each other if possible, perhaps because having to listen to the other is a terrible reminder of their situation. He disgusts himself,is often appalled by his own words, his own orders in battle.They share memories, share a name, and share a body. They are the same person. And yet, they can't understand one another. His mind is too muddled with hatred for his situation to try and come to a compromise and make an effort to work at one with his own ambition. The only difference between the two , are the strange marks on their tongues. Left as a result of the magic, and only that marking the original from his clone.

Understanding himself is a battle no war that Sui-Yen had fought before could have prepared him for.Truly an enemy he'd be battling until the end of his days.

Personalities; The two are both cunning, intelligent and evil. They love seeing others struggle, and they usually feel no sympathy or remorse. However, the two are complete goofballs and love making jokes to only each other when they’re alone.
Arco is the wilder and sarcastic part of the two. He’s usually grinning and showing off all his teeth to scare others, and knows all the clever comebacks to rude comments. Arco is a quicker thinker, but he usually rushes his decisions and leads to an inconclusive answer.
Darco is more private and mature, compared to Arco. He has better logic than his brother and he’s stricter with orders. However, Darco can misjudge others, over or underestimating kalons and getting more frustrated at them when they don’t meet his expectations.
Even though the two are in ways, the opposite, they still collaborate and work together extremely well.

Arco and Darco are a pair that absolutely no one wants to mess with. They would love to bite your tails off, and if you’re not careful, you might as well be captured in their giant nightmare empire.
These two are demons and monsters from Hell, and love feeling more superior than many others. They want to feel in control of everything they run and do, feeling no mercy or guilt.
Their empire is deep underground, and they have very high security, to make sure there are no escapees. They capture their victims by setting up traps before taking them to their empire, then never letting their victims go back to the outside world after that. Eventually, their captures are allowed to work for them, but only the most trusted ones are given the privilege to be a trapper, and only very few are chosen for it.
Arco and Darco make their empire more than just nightmarish kingdom to forever live in, however. They daily host battles, in which their captures are to fight each other for the pair’s own amusement, and they also “train” their captures to be able to fight in a deadly way. Since they also love drama, they spread false rumours and lie about anyone they want just so they can see more arguments, fights and kalons struggling emotionally.
To the outside world, the empire is a shady but frightening rumour. Some believe it’s a make-believe tale, others believe it’s all real. Even so, no one wants to be captured for life, so many do not talk about it.

What are they?

Another one. We made another one cry. "Go ahead! CRY for all I care!" there they (or is it I?) go again. They sigh. Well, Kairos does. Kairos does nothing but sigh. And Brontide does nothing but scream. "Brontide... That's enough." Kairos says. "It's always enough, Kairos." Kairos stares at his... Half? Brother? Himself? He doesn't know. "We can't keep being like this." Brontide sheds tears. Which is often. "Like what? What do you mean, Brontide?" Kairos nuzzles Beontide and tries to comfort him. "We can't keep on being monsters!" silence fills the air and Kairos speaks. "We aren't monsters. We're us." that's true. "What are we? A nightmare?!" Brontide puts a paw on his eye, trying to stop crying. "I'm such a crybaby." Brontide smiles at his remark. "Yeah, you are." Kairos jokes around. They were always together. Not like they have a choice. They aren't brothers. They aren't seperate kalons. They're themselves. They share a soul. Their minds are one, except in the personality. But they are their own balance. Their own choice and life. "Why can't we be like everyone else?" Brontide asks. "Because we're not supposed to be. That's why we share a soul. Our soul is strong, it can handle both of us," Kairos says to Brontide while smiling warmly. "That's why they named you Kairos... And that's why they named me Brontide." Brontide frowned and Kairos nuzzled him again. "No, they named you Brontide because thunder is proof that everyone, even the softest of clouds, have a voice. You can be a voice. That's why our soul named us that."

Their legend:
Long ago, there was a restless soul. It didn't have a body. It didn't have a purpose. It was empty. It roamed the earth, looking for the purpose. For itself or the world? No one knows. It traveled through the wind, the dust and the currents of the vast oceans. But nothing could satisfy its eternal hunger for a purpose. All until it saw a small lake. The like was tiny, barely any fish or frogs. The soul rested a bit beside thanks the lake when it noticed a small paper boat on the water. It floated towards it. "Please take care of my ship. Don't let it sink. I'll be a captain someday and I'll make sure no one sinks. " and aroundit were paper boats with the same message and the same writing. It started to rain and the paper boat still stayed solid. The soul wondered why someone would waste paper. Then.. Ba-dump... Ba-dump.. A heart beat? It never had a heart beat. Ba-dump.. Why? It felt.. Something.. Like.. A purpose. If paper can withstand rain, then why can't it withstand a body? It's life needed a purpose. Something to do, a reason to have a body. To have a body again.. The fog from the cold rain dissepated. Beside the lake was a creature of a flowing blue and purple tail glow, horn as strong as granite and a heart as pure as snow. And paws, that held a tiny paper boat.

The two heads represent the two sides of the brain. They are the same consiousness however, so they have the same name. They used to be normal but got cursed? He's really ancient. He's just a skeptic searching for the meaning of life.

Personalities:
Castor-

Castor is more of the poetic one of these brothers, he loves to write and read stories, especially from Shakespeare and Edgar Allan Poe. He is kind hearted like his brother and has an extremely soft spot for horses, because of this, he hopes to buy one for the large scape of land he and his brother live on. He is the quieter of the two, but enjoys talking to anyone his brother may talk to.

Pollux-

Pollux is the little farm lover of the two, he adores animals, especially cats, and enjoys planting little gardens on he and his brother's property. He is usually never seen without a large straw hat on as he wants to emphasize that he is the farmer, that he's the one who grows all the carrots he and his brother sell at the market. He is extremely outgoing and loves talking to others, even to his plants as he believes kind words help the plants grow.

Getting along:
Pollux and Castor were born conjoined, they each controll their own side of the body; Pollux the left, Castor the right. Luckily, the two learned quickly that they needed to work together in order to function properly. The two didn't and still don't get along all the time, but they are both quick to forgive each other as they can't go anywhere if they don't cooperate. Pollux is extremely thankful that his brother is so accepting of his gender while Castor is thankful that his brother is so accepting of his farfetched dreams.

Dream jobs and occupations:
Castor dreams of becoming a famous writer and play director, while Pollux dreams of becoming a well known organic food business owner and expert animal caretaker; pretty much someone who could expertly care for any animal, kind of like a veterinarian of sorts. Being that their dreams are so far apart, they both know they won't be fulfilled any time soon if not ever. Buying the large piece of land was Castor's idea for Pollux to have something close to their dream, Pollux was so excited that he offered up the idea of buying Castor ink pens, leather back journals, and writing desk to give him the feel that he was a true writer. Now the two grow crops to sell at the local market along with some short stories and poems written by Castor.
