Day 1
"Alright, Akio. First day in the sushi shop... Calm down, all you have to do is make sushi. You're good at it, relax...
It will be over, soon," and with that, the kalon slowly opened the glass doors. Ding-A-Ling! The bell made
Akio jump. Take it easy, Aki! they thought to them self. Akio let out a frustrated sigh and went into the
kitchen. All the staff looked at Akio strange, as if they thought she dressed up for her first day.
Akio most definitely was nervous, but she started to make sushi.

Day 2
Akio slowly opened the glass doors. Ding-a-ling! The bell made them cringe. Everyone looked
at Akio again, Akio tried to avoid eye contact with anyone. There was a line, and people started getting
mad for getting late food. Akio walked into the kitchen, and started making delicious sushi.

It was time for Akio to have a lunch break. They opened their lunch bag and took out cereal. Akio didn't
even remember why they packed it, it was just a snack. Akio opened the little container, and used a metal
spoon to scoop up the cereal. They didn't notice the rice on the cereal, but soon they heard a little squeak.
Akio looked at the spoon. There were... Eyes? And rice? What?! Akio screamed and dropped the spoon. They
looked at it again, and it appeared to be a... Sushi slug? Akio was surprised it didn't go crazy once Akio
dropped the spoon. Oh well. The slug had fruit loop cereal on them, Akio had never seen cereal sushi before.
They decided to try and make a new recipe as soon as they got home.

Day 24
Today everything was going smoothly. Akio was getting very quick at making sushi, take out the seaweed,
put the seaweed on the rice, and put the inside in. Then wrap it, and chop it into consumable pieces. Perfect.
The sushi slug, newly named Cheerio, smiled and squeaked at Akio's work. Today was a good day.

Day 127
Akio was faster than ever. She had all the recipes in their head, and was zooming around the kitchen.
their boss was certainly impressed, and was happy the customers were surprised their meals came so quickly.
Akio got the day off tomorrow for their hard work. All the staff respected Akio instead of judging them for their
looks, and more on their quality.

"I'm Akio, but call me Aki for short. I'm pretty fun and talk to my self a lot. I run on laughter because I think everyone needs to laugh every day. At times I get very nervous but in the end, YOLO! I love to impress. Impressing is something I
try hard to do. Whether it be super-fast sushi making or making someone smile. I uhm, of course, uhm... Have a cute side, heh. I.... Well... Love cute people! There! I said it! I love cute people with love of cute things. They're just too adorable, alright? Enough said. Anyway, no one ever should judge my strange ways at first. I normally yell at people when I first meet.
T-then I s-s-s-s-s-mumble my w-words like t-t-this if t-that m-m-makes sense. Uh-oh. I-it's h-happening... DANGIT! H-have to w-w-wait for i-it to w-w-wear off."

I act differently around different people, louder to others and some nicer. I really just want people to stop judging me for looking like yummy sushi and actually notice that I am a kalon. Akio is a loud kalon at first, trying to keep your mind off their looks and more on their personality and words. Akio is tired of people looking at him looking like a mutant-sushi thing, and really, really tries to impress you. In the end, all they wants is you to accept them, but sometimes that fails. They has a weakness for people who tend to be quieter and enjoy doing cute things. Akio doesn't get angrily easily, but when they do get angry, they are more sad than mad. Akio will pour their eyes for days, most call them a 'crybaby' or 'soggy-sushi'. Akio has many goals and sets them, putting themselves to the limit and see how far they can go. Akio is normally all over the place, but of course that's just Akio's nature. They try to be nice to everyone, and be someone's good friend because Akio really doesn't have much friends.

At age eleven, Akio was left abandoned. Why? Simply... Their looks. Their parents always hated the looks of their
sushi child. Why did it have to be sushi? Could have been a deer, seaweed, or even rice! Unfortunately, it was left
as sushi. They respected Akio, but also hated them. One day they told Akio to go to a store, so they drove to the
store. They dropped Akio off and promised they'd park the car in the parking lot. Akio nodded, and was happy to
finally shop on their own. Akio walked into the store, unknowing they actually left. Akio finished getting
the things on the shopping list. Sleeping bag, snacks, fruit, blankets, extra clothes, matches, water-bottles, pastries,
but no 'fridge food' allowed. Akio walked out of the store and looked all over for their parents. After two hours
work of searching, Akio just gave up. At the corner or their eye, a slightly older kalon came to see Akio. It was...
Apollo. After hearing the story, Apollo's family adopted Akio. Akio was spoiled, it seemed that Akio was the favorite
child. Although, Akio will never know what happened to their parents.

quick story note-draft things (story from when he was a kalon kit)

sushi yawns and wakes up at 3 am. why? doesn't know. gets out of bed and goes downstairs, to see his mother sitting there quietly, looking worried but forces a smile at sushi when he walks into the room. sushi realises his alarm clock stopped/is broken - it's actually 8 am. father is nowhere to be seen. sushi sits down next to mother. he asks "where's dad?". wip.

If a user accumulates a specific number of honorable mentions, then they are eligible to trade them in for a custom Kalon. They are earned through one's effort put into adoption competitions.

10 hms - a custom with one uncommon edit
15 hms - a custom with one rare edit
20 hms - a custom with one rare edit and a choice of either one uncommon or one common edit

To receive your custom, you may ask any artist on staff who is available to make your custom. You may then provide a color palette, theme, desired markings, etc. Because the Kalon is custom, you are allowed to request that the artist edit aspects of the design that you are not happy with, but you cannot change them yourself.
