How do they get along with their family members?;;

Allena - Mother
Out of all three of his parents, Zoran feels a particular closeness to Allena. That isn't to say that he doesn't love the other two, but he's most likely to spend his time with her.
While he believes his mother is a little too honest, he's also amazed at her ability to be so confident. He admires her beauty, pride, and humor, and finds himself trying to imitate her around his other siblings.
Zoran is definitely a mama's boy.

Sebastian - Father
Zoran is but a candle flame compared the the wildfire that is Sebastian.
Zoran has always been intimated by Seb. The first time he met his father with open eyes, he immediately ran crying for his mothers.
Zoran possess almost none of his father's strength, bravery, or basic skills in hunting. As much as he wants to make his father proud, Zoran feels that he is not worthy of Sebastian's attention.

Macintosh - Mother
There is something comforting about Macintosh that Zoran can't place- he doesn't know what it is exactly, but when he sees his mother, he he's able to feel at peace.
He likes to talk to Macintosh most out of his entire family, and that's because she listens to him. When he speaks, he finally feels as though his voice isn't being drowned out by his other family members and that his ideas mean something. He doesn't have to pretend to be someone he's not to get her attention. She takes him seriously, even if he is just a little pup.

Fenris - Brother
Not long after they were born, it was obvious who the alpha pup was from the litter of four; surprise surprise, it wasn't Zoran.
Fenris has an easy time pushing Zoran around and being bossy; a task that comes naturally to an alpha. Zoran, being much weaker and much less scary, has little to say on this matter.
Zoran loves his brother, but only because they're brothers.

Sedona - Sister
Sedona can be pretty snobbish, but that, apparently, never stopped the two siblings from hanging out.
Zoran knows his sister better than most of his siblings, and he knows that she, like their mother, is very honest when she speaks. This is important to Zoran because she has never said anything bad about him aside from occasional mistakes he makes.
He likes feeling accepted by his sibling, even if he's slightly bothered by her bragging habits.

Caelia - Brother
Caelia is a very bold child, someone who isn't afraid to speak against anyone in their family. That is something Zoran definitely envies, especially since he's too kind to ever be that confrontational.
While he can be annoying, Caelia is always the first to invite Zoran in any activities their siblings are doing because he knows that Zoran has a hard time inviting himself in.

Angelo - Adopted Brother
It's easy for Zoran to relax around Angelo, especially since his brother is a pup of little words.
Like most younger brothers, Zoran looks up to Angelo and sticks by him the most of his siblings. He is like a fourth parental figure to him, even if he is a bit of a pushover with their brothers and sister.
Through Angelo, Zoran feels as though he does have some sort of fatherly figure.

In the future;;
As an adult, the small runt Zoran grows into a gracious, gentle giant, now able to stand shoulder to shoulder with his father. He is just as kind as he was as a child, though he has become much more jaded since then, starting with after the disappearance of his older brother, Fenris. Sadly, Fenris' disappearance allowed Zoran to grow much more confident in himself- something he wished he could have done with his older brother still around.
The relationship he has with the rest of his family remains stable, more or less, and he remains close with his mothers. At this point in his life, he is able to strengthen the weak bond he had with his father all his life, though he still believes his dad isn't all that pleased with his life choices.
Zoran, with his love of cooking, becomes a popular chef. He would love to have his own restaurant, but wants to wait until he has more experience at his other jobs first. The first place he works at is a popular pub in the city, and the other place is a small bakery specializing in cakes. One of Zoran's talents is actually decorating cakes, despite not really liking sweets.

How do they get along with their family members?;;

Allena -

Nikolai has always looked up to Allena, his role model through and through. Nikolai's tendency to speak what pops in his head before thinking it through tends to get him into trouble. It is Allena whom he goes to for comfort. Though she'll discipline him as a mother should, she does it in the gentle, understanding manner that Niko needs. Of all of his parents, Niko feels like Allena understands him the most.

Sebastian -

With his unfiltered manner of speaking, Nikolai gets into arguments with Sebastian often. Niko won't hesitate to do things such as point out small mistakes that Sebastian commits in his presence. The two, over the course of Niko's childhood, develop a strained relationship, fraught with arguments and anger. They fall into a habit of Niko offending Sebastian somehow, then running to Allena for comfort when Sebastian inevitably reacts. Niko eventually comes to fear igniting Sebastian's short temper.
As Niko grows older and matures, he forms an admiration for Sebastian's apparent sturdiness, looking up to his father for his strength. The two share a love of shiny objects.

Macintosh -

Macintosh is Nikolai's favorite parent. Her sweet nature and seemingly endless patience leads to Niko feeling as if he can get away with the most around her. Niko can blurt things out around her that Sebastian or Allena would doll out a punishment for and at most get a soft admonishment. During Niko's youngest years, Macintosh is the parent that he likes to drag out to the park and spend the day with. When Niko gets older, he usually goes to Macintosh to ask for permissions, as she is the most likely parent to say yes.

Fenris -

Growing up, Nikolai preferred to follow Fenris around. Fenris made the decisions and came up with plans, Nikolai executed them. Together they made quite a team, getting into enough mischief to drive their parents nuts. Nikolai has always been envious of his brother's size, large and strong like Sebastian. Niko, insecure about his lack of stature and perceived inferiority, comes to drift apart from Fenris until Fenris' sudden disappearance.
It isn't until he matures more with adulthood that he will attempt to rekindle their once-close relationship.

Sedona -

Nikolai enjoys Sedona's company the most of his siblings. He finds Sedona's energy contagious, drawing positivity from most interactions with her. Nikolai considers her a trustworthy confidant simply because he likes her so much.

Caelia -

Caelia and Nikolai have been at odds since they learned to talk. Niko, unable to handle criticism and teasing, becomes an easy target for Caelia's jests. The two argue and aim pointed jokes at each other, occasionally going too far. During such instances, Caelia, knowing that he's gone too far, will comfort and apologize to Niko. Caelia's ability to recognize when things have reached a breaking point is what sets him out from the rest in Niko's eyes. Niko prefers Caelia's company over his other siblings because the two can keep up with each other. Caelia's teasing is enough to keep Niko, who gets bored with others easily, entertained.

Angelo -

Nikolai does not like Angelo very much, finding the quiet boy boring. When Niko's parents task him with keeping an eye on Angelo, babysitting him, Niko always rolls his eyes, finding interaction with Angelo to be a chore. It's no fun to talk to someone who doesn't talk back. Additionally, Angelo's sickly, reserved nature makes him an easy target for Niko's frustrations. Niko has the unfortunate tendency to lash out and take his feelings out on Angelo when the circumstance arises.
In his older years, Niko regrets the unfair way he treated Angelo as a child and desires to make amends.

Nikolai, in an odd twist of events, comes to follow in his father's adventurer footsteps.
When an antique shop announces that it will be closing, Niko goes in search of the shiniest
jewelry he can get his hands on for his personal collection. Instead, after getting lost and
turned around in the deepest of storage rooms, he stumbles upon a map.


The map lands in his storage box. It isn't until a few years later, when it's time for him to
finally leave his parents' home, that the map resurfaces. With nothing to lose, Niko packs
up his things and sets out on an unplanned journey.
