More crocs have gathered, it appears.
They have joined the others in curiously watching you guys from across the lake, and appear to be getting less shy. However, do not approach them, please, they are still a bit uneasy around humans.

Can you tell me a story?

"Hmm... Let me see."

"Here is a short myth, but it is still a popular idea among crocoilies. According to our legends, we were at first creatures who, like whales, always lived in the ocean. However, the Emperor of Whales chased us from our original home, which began our old feud with the fish that I mentioned in a story back. When we arrived at Liland, it was winter, in in those days crocs were said to have sleek skin or scales for the water. Naturally we were freezing, and would have died. However, there is said to be an ancient feline who lived on the island, who was so old, that she and her family had the knowledge of the ages. They rescued the crocolilies by granting them cloths of fur, which is, according to myth, why we mostly have fir toady."

What season is the hardest for crocolilies to survive?

"Winter, by far. We probably manage with it better than some sorts of reptiles, as you call them. As aforementioned we are gifted, most anyways, with fur. But is can freeze our insides, and, as we mostly survive on vegetation and water there is danger of famine during the coldest winters. Some crocolilies hibernate, though, I hear different types of crocs are either immune to the cold, or produce mysterious heat... like the fabled descendants of Grah who could breathe fire."

Can you tell me a story?

"While you humans have no proof yet, according to our stories, we crocolilies live elsewhere, besides Liland and a few nearby islands! According to a legend, there are mysterious, heavily furred crocolilies living in the freezing north, as well as a floating island said to be the home of feathered, winged crocolilies. Even we have our doubts of these, but who knows? The world grants us many surprises! If aliens exist, maybe there are even,... extraterrestrial crocolilies?"

Can you tell me a story?

"On the last night of each month, the stars mysterious shine brighter when reflecting off Misty Lake. During this time, it is said the lake sings. If you visit my friends at Misty Pond, you'll discover they believe in many more legends and myths than I do. They believe that a sort of... angel, sent to protect, lives there, and that on the last night of the month she can be seen walking by the water and the stars rejoice... or something. I don't quite know if it is true, who knows? I have doubts."

How long have you lived on this island?

"I, for one, was born here. But my people are said to have come from the oceans, fleeing a war with the Whale Emperor. This was many hundreds of yeas ago, I scarcely know how long."
