A Brief Introduction
Within the deepest reaches of a mysterious forest area, explorers have discovered a docile mammalian species with similar characteristics of a deer. Named 'Laurelei', these creatures have somehow become fused with a wide variety of plant life. No one knows what happened within the forest to have caused such a phenomenon, so in a quest for knowledge, scientists and adventurers alike have set up camps in the area to explore the forest and unlock the mystery behind these strange animals.

From the moment their first flowers bloom, each Laurelei is accompanied by a unique bird that keeps insects away from their delicate flowers. These birds are accurately titled 'the caretaker' because they are often more intelligent than their Laurelei, and also because Laurelei become quickly distressed without the presence of their avian companion.

Laurelei's Personality;;
There are no bounds to Solana's kindness, she combs the forest floors and lakeside shores to find gifts and trinkets she can give to others. Even going as far to wrapping up the gifts in a leaf before presenting it to someone. Leolani is usually the receiver of these gifts, and while she finds it amusing that she wraps her own gifts, she is very touched by Sol's thoughtfulness.

Solana enjoys seeking out new friends and is a bit naive of the world, feeling that everyone can become her friend. The laurelei's charming demeanour is hard to resist and her cheerfulness usually allows her to make fast friends with many creatures that she encounters. She loves to listen to other creatures' stories and others love telling it to her as she will genuinely be interested in everything they have to say.

Caregiver's Personality;;
Leolani, true to her name, possess a voice so sweet, even the tides lean in to listen to her song. Perched on a stubby horn, she would sing soft tunes in order to calm Sol, keeping her happy for quite some time. There is a song for every occasion and much more are created with each passing day. Leolani merely enjoys composing and singing songs. She feels that it makes each moment more special and allows her to remember the feeling of the memory if she recalls the song that went with it.

Leolani believes Sol is too trusting and happy go lucky, so she keeps an eye on the laurelei to keep her out of harm's way. Her charge is quite curious about the scientists that make camp in the forests, but Leolani detests them. She doesn't quite trust them and she hears whispers from other caretakers of what the scientists might do to laurelei's that stray to close to their camp. Hence, why Leolani keeps her as far as she can from those camps, much to the dismay of Sol. It's all in Leolani's best interest when she makes these decisions as she cares greatly for Sol.
