1 Writing; Apollo hated the trouble he had to go through to get to his 'home'. He grunted, pushing his way into the sewer gutter's grate, which was pulled open already from of his last visits. The stench of mildew and mold filled his nose, making him cringe, however, his heart pounded in excitement, reminding him not to resist. He waded through the murky liquid; it was so contaminated he wasn't sure if it was water anymore. Reaching the end of the tunnel was the drain, sadly, the location he had to go to. Holding his breath, Apollo slid through the bars. The liquid carried him down to the exit, thank goodness. Desperate to get out of the dusty hole, Apollo took in deep breaths. When he surfaced from the sewer water Apollo skidded onto the hard rock and climbed the cold rusty metal bars that suppose to be the ladders. Apollo sniffed the fresh air, clearing his scent glands from the dreadful smell. Paws planted on the freshly disturbed dirt, he looked up.
And what he saw, was something that took time to process. It was just a glimpse, and that was all it took for the plumerian to forget about the sewers. Northern lights flashed above the night sky like thick amounts of watercolor blending on a blank canvas. Truly one amazing sight.
