Why is it important to them? like her caretaker(Celius, who raised her), Leonis adores the stars. Really, it's not the stars itself but the sheer vastness of the universe they exist in. It's neverending, and while it's quite the task she wants to memorize every single star she can(she'd love to get them all down), but she can't do that unless she can track them. Her item is important because without being able to navigate with the stars, she won't know which ones are which as the seasons change and she can't have herself memorizing the same one twice!

Leonis made this map (it was her first) when she first got into her passion of stars, and while she has much improved on her mapmaking skills and accuracy since then loves to keep it and look back on it when she has time!
