Orion has always been quite off, even as a child. He grew up in a town where kalons hated magic, of any kind.
Superstitions and rumors floated around everywhere, and Orion seemed to be the 'lucky' one born with the power
to control plants. He was isolated for most of his life, often staying inside due to all the hatred he received.
Soon, it seemed he began to hate them right back. Though his mother always tried to convince him no to hate
others, not to stoop down to their level, it was already to late. His innocence in the matter seemed to ebb away
quickly. He's grown very good at hiding his emotions when it comes to being afraid or sad, due to having to hide
them when he was in the town...
After meeting the fairies, he became a lot more sadistic and corrupted. People's lives became a game to him, and
it seemed that he rarely thought before he made an action. He simply disregarded what other people wanted or thought.
He was practically like a king in the forest after all. Everyone who stepped foot in the forest would either be sent running
or... Fed to his plants as a fun little game, as he called it. He has a soft spot for mentions of his mother and a bit of a temper.
Though, normally he's seen as rather calm and even cocky.

The boy stared quietly up at the sky, his eyes stinging with the need to cry. However, he wouldn't, not with his mother here. She was always prone to pry... He pulled his head forwards slightly in irritation as she pulled a lock of hair the wrong way. He always hated it when she braided his hair. "Sit still, Orion..." She mumbled as she continued, weaving his hair back and forth. He sighed quietly and did as he was told, looking down at the ground slightly. He stuck his hand out and gently tapped a flower bud. After a tiny glow, it began to open up. Orion giggled quietly, however he remembered the other kids, calling him a freak and dangerous... He gulped with unease at the thought.
"Mother..." He whispered quietly as he wiped his eye slightly. She picked her head up a little. "Hmm? Yes?" She leaned down slightly near his head, not stopping the gentle movement of her hands. "Why... Why are people so... A-Afraid of..." He gulped quietly, seeming to choke on his words. His mother sighed and leaned down to grab his hand. "This is a gift, Orion..." She muttered, clutching his hand tightly and shutting her eyes. "Don't listen to them... Don't listen to anyone who..." She took a deep breath. "...Anyone who tells you otherwise, okay...?" She smiled at him, moving a little bit of hair out of his face. He pouted quietly. Those words didn't stop the others from hating, and even attacking him... But he would never tell her that.
"...Mhm..." He emitted, gulping quietly. "Thank you, mother."

His paws hit the ground hard as he ran, desperate to get away from the small group chasing after him. He feared for his life this time, it seemed. He felt a rock hit him square in the back and he winced, nearly toppling over. He was growing tired, but he knew he couldn't stop. For a brief moment he thought of why. He thought of why they would hate him so much. Was it because a simple bad mood could wilt a flower? What were they afraid of? It wasn't like there was much else he could do.
He panted loudly, his blonde hair swinging back and forth with every faltering step he took, and his thoughts were interrupted by a terrible realization. They were catching up. He pumped his arms harder and tried his best to outrun them, stumbling and coughing. He could almost see the grin on the others faces, seeing him get closer and closer to their fiendish grasps... Orion couldn't take it anymore. His legs felt like they were going to fall off, and his head was spinning. At last, he just... Let himself fall over a few feet away from his pursuers.
Tears stung his eyes, and he pushed back with his arms. "It's so cute to see the little monster afraid for his life..." One of them mumbled. They had a bat in their hand, and they tossed it up and down. Orion watched in horror as they stepped closer. Again, his mind wander as they spoke. It seemed to be the only thing that could 'move', perhaps besides his heaving chest. "How does it feel to be such a disgusting creature?" He knew what they expected- no, what they wanted. They wanted him to hate himself for this cursed power. Then again, he wasn't the one who shunned magic.
I'm supposed to hate myself. For being a monster. For making a garden.
Their harsh words continued as they advanced. Orion balled up a patch of grass in his hands, ripping the blades from their roots. They were most likely going to beat him to death for merely being alive and having this power. Had he or any before him done anything terrible with it, then perhaps he might understand their fear and hatred.
The real monsters here are... are... Them. And monsters they... They deserve to...
"Die." He mumbled, his eyes glowing gold as the a tree began to rip it's way through the soil and forge itself around Orion. The three who had previously been advancing stepped back in horror. The last thing they saw of him was a single golden eye, piercing and cold.

He stayed in there for days. It was much darker inside of a hollow tree than he thought... However he felt more at home. More alive... He could hear beating on the tree and the desperate call of his mother, but it all felt so distant when he was in there. He laughed quietly. His mother seemed to be the only one who wasn't afraid, but perhaps that was just because she had to put up with him. He took a shaky breath and placed his hands on his head. It wasn't like he knew how to get rid of the tree around him anyway... In fact, he wasn't even sure how he had mustered making it.
The sudden sound of a wispy voice startled him, and the three glowing green beings in front of him startled him even more. "Excellent... You're just as powerful as we thought..." They spoke quietly. He gulped. had they been watching him...? His heartbeat picked up slightly as he stared up at the three beings, "No need to be alarmed... We're here to make you better." He relaxed slightly. "Wha... What do you mean?" He stood up shakily from his balled up state and stared at the three as they floated higher. "Tell us, child... What do you desire?"
The question surprised him slightly. He thought for a moment, first wondering if they meant anything, then shaking his head slightly. He looked down at his feet, though hard to see in the faint light of the beings. The people of that town... He hated them. They were all monsters it seemed. He clenched his fists and looked up at them. "Power. I want power." He grit his teeth slightly. They had never known true fear of those who wielded magic. Perhaps it was time that they did.
The three chuckled, and for a moment Orion felt humiliated. Then, the chuckle became a cackle as he felt an immense pain surge through his body. The tree seemed to begin to glow slightly as he dropped to his knees, one hand on his head and the other on the ground. It was like he could feel all of nature at once, calling to him. He let out a loud, pained wince, but it seemed it was over before he knew it.
"Enjoy." with a sinister laugh, they were gone.
