- Created and sustained within a temporal void, these creatures have no concept of time nor aging.
- Each breach of/into the void results in a new one being formed, each tear results in one being cast out in an explosion of energy, shifted through space and time until they wind up wherever it is the source of the tear originated.

name meaning: a Japanese school of Mahayana Buddhism emphasizing the value of meditation and intuition, or one with the universe. The reason for this name is that this lovely boy is rather chill and calm, as though he knows all the universe is his friend.

how they got their scars:
Well, if you try and ask Zen, he might stop being so calm and friendly and try to eat you...However, I suppose I can tell you the reason. *Looks round, sees Zen in deep sleep mode* Ah, good... *Continues on* So, when he was a bit younger, he made friends with this beautiful Inuit Eskimo dog named Blaise, a red and white male with one blue eye and one brown eye. They were friends for some time. However, some other canine called Lumo, a Kitsunian (my species I originally created for Doctor Who, but I think I'm going to make a subspecies of them that can be in any fandom, or not in a fandom at all), told Blaise some lies about Zen. Blaise managed to take Zen by surprise, scratch him, then ran off. That's how those scars happened...

She heard a growl and turned to see a white tiger watching her from inside a bush. She had tried to back away slowly, but the tiger lunged at her and they got into a huge fight. Zecora has many other scars from the battle, but none more pronounced than the ones on her face. She eventually beat the tiger, but not without almost being beat herself.
