How did they break the jewel: Lark broke their jewel by helping someone in need. Actually, that 'someone' is their own sibling! Their sister was in danger (Being attacked) so Lark jumped in to help. Lark's jewel broke and they lost their powers.
How do they cope?: Lark doesn't really have to cope, but its hard. Any time that Lark begins to feel bad, they remind themself of whai it happened. That in itself is enough to help them.
