The soft breeze rustled her fur as she sat in the clearing, surrounded by birdsong and flowers. Maeve was always happiest alone on summer days like these; she just felt as free as a bird. No responsibilities, no distractions... As kind to nature as Maeve was, she wasn't as kind to other Kalons. Their persistent chatter blocked out the sounds of nature. One had come up to her earlier that very same day to comment on a picture she was drawing of a hummingbird at a flower. She seemed so interested in being friends but Maeve knew the only friend she could trust was nature. It took all the restraint in her body to not snap at the friendly Kalon. Instead, she gave the Kalon, who introduced herself as Fawn, the picture she had drawn and sent her on her way. Or in other words she sneaked away while Fawn was looking at the picture, not leaving a name or anything. But now she was alone, it was behind her, and she could finally draw in peace. Maeve sniffed a nearby flower, letting out a soft giggle when when a butterfly fluttered onto her now pollen coated nose. While hostile near others, she was a sweetie on her own. Soon she remembered why she had come to this location. Digging through her trusty suck of wonders, Maeve pulled out a little bundle of cloth and began digging a small hole in front of her. Once she had finished, she carefully unwrapped the small bundle, revealing a small dead bird. She placed the tiny creature in the hole, covering it with dirt some ways before she placed a seed on top. All the flowers that surrounded her were planted by her own two paws and each had the remains of some creature beneath them, giving them life and nutrients. Soon the seed she planted would grow into a beautiful flower, too, yielding life from death.
