Digit loves playing video games, they've been a part of his life since he was a small viscling, and his favorite games have always been the pokemon series and the Legend of Zelda series. The soundtracks to the games, even the 8-bit pokemon games, have always been Digit's favorite part about any video game, because they can be masterful.
A good soundtrack adds to the game, gives atmosphere to it, can change the mood even. It's what makes Lavender Town in the original pokemon games creepier, it's what makes the boss battles in Zelda even more fast-paced. They're made to make you lose yourself in the games, and keep you focused, and it's the soundtracks that fascinate him most. He'll play games for hours on end, staying in one area solely to listen to more of its track.
He loves this song in particular because wind waker was one of the first games he played on a console, so it has special meaning to him. It's a wonderful remix of the song, and it's able to be played in the background as he does other things.
a little about him:Digit has never been a wild viscet, as he was brought into a human family at a very young age, and raised as part of their family. It was the daughter of this family that introduced him to video games, letting him borrow her gameboy color with a pokemon cartridge in it at first. He instantly loved it. He stayed up all night that night playing this game, and not stopping until he had a trained party, and the first three gym badges.
From there, he branched out to other games, and other handhelds, finally coming into consoles as well. And in each of the games he played, he was swept up by the music and the fun of it all. Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, Sly Cooper, he loved them all! Him and his human would take turns playing the games, and Digit started to get the habit of yipping and whining in time with the tracks, trying to hum along to the songs.
Even now as he's older, he still loves to play video games, either on his own or with his human.
Video games, especially older ones, hold a special place in his heart, as he feels it's what really first connected him with his human, and served to begin their bond with each other.
Though his first games were the pokemon ones, it's Legend of Zelda Wind Waker that he remembers most fondly. It was the first game that he ever was able to play on a console and see it up on the tv, he remembers thinking how colorful and beautiful it looked. He always thought it's soundtrack was the best. It's cemented as his favorite with the memory of his human, back when he was still small enough for her to hold, had him in her lap as she played. They played like that all night until they both fell asleep cuddled up together. It's memories like that that make video games important to him.
by Firewolf56 personality:Digit is usually a fairly cheerful kind of viscet, happy to be in the company of his family or their friends and excitable where video games are concerned. He does has a tendency to get a bit grumpy though, but it's usually his own fault for staying up too late. He's stubborn, especially when it comes to someone trying to get him to try something he doesn't want to. He can get annoyed rather easily if he's playing a game on his own and is interrupted, but unless its a game he can't pause, he doesn't get too upset.
Overall, he's relatively in a good mood most of the time, so long as he gets his sleep. Besides video games, he loves going on walks around the parks in town with his human. He loves the smell of fresh air and loves when they play tag while they're there as well.relationships:Being a domestic viscet, Digit doesn't have a pack to call his own, and while his human family has tried to put him on play dates with others, the results have been mixed. Though they are a good and well meaning family, they didn't really socialize him around many other viscets as he was growing, as he was more interested in just playing with his human. But now as she's gotten older and is more busy with not as much freetime to give him, it's become more important for him to form social bonds with other viscets.Alcore: One of the first viscets that Digit's family tried to introduce him to was a viscet named Alcore, as they didn't live too far away. The meeting started off a bit rocky at first, Digit having very little social interactions with other viscets had stayed fairly far back from Alcore, staying low the ground, defensive and wary. Likewise, Alcore also stood fairly low, neither of them having any sort of basis of trust between the two of them yet.
It took a while for either of them to relax, though it was Alcore that broke the tension, introducing himself in a friendly enough way, prompting Digit to hesitantly respond with his own introduction and finally begin to relax. As the two actually began talking, though Digit stayed rather shy and reserved at the start and Alcore had to somewhat lead the conversation, they both began to open up a bit more.
By the end of the first meeting, Digit was excitedly challenging Alcore to Mario Kart. The defining moment of this meeting, and subsequently their new friendship, being the moment the two were locked in a battle for first, barely snatching the leads from one other with the finish line in sight, when out of no where a blue shell hits the both of them as a npc Toad races by to collect the win. They just stared at what had happened before bursting into laughter at the surprise of it.
Trigger:It wasn't too long after Digit's first meetings with another viscet that his family arranged a meeting with Trigger as well. Though Digit had at least a little more experience with others by now, it was still far from being enough to give him any sort of confidence when meeting new viscets, and so as the two met, Digit took up a familiar defensive stance, keeping his distance, low to the ground, ears back, and a little tense in case he needed to run.
Trigger was similarly reserved at first, keeping his fair share of distance as well, but curiosity seemed to get the better of him after a little while, and he approached Digit slowly, introducing himself and asking for Digit's name as well. Though Digit was still wary, he offered his name in return. Slowly, the two began to talk to each other, Trigger asking questions about Digit and Digit, though reluctant at first, answering. The more this went on, the more at ease each of them seemed to be until even Digit was asking questions about Trigger too.
As the two sat together, asking each other questions from silly small things like favorite color to asking if the other had seen or done something like "Have you been to the park downtown? They have a fountain and every hour it does a little water show!" It wasn't long before they were both comfortable with each other, and as they talked, they lost track of time until they realized they'd spent the entire meeting just talking to each other. With a promise to meet again, next time perhaps at the park with the fountain, they parted ways, comfortable with saying they had each made a new friend that day.
