Favorite forest discovery: when lysander was young, his grandfather used to tell him
that each speck of pollen, each firefly, and each twinkle of the forest was a fairy. to this
day, when lysander goes out into the forest, he still searches for the fairies. he knows now
that the fairies don't actually exist, but it reminds him of a time when he was young and
believed the world was capable of everything

"Eh- you're asking me?", I snort in distaste. "Uhh, probably finding the crystal- you know, the one with a little chunk of it in my necklace?" Yeah, that was fun.

Mother always said I was a risk-taker.

Too much for my own good.

But why should her opinion count anyways?

I push my head downwards and slip underneath the log, my prized necklace dragging against the ground. The foliage is still wet from the morning's shower. "There," I mutter in awe. I fling myself upwards and take a running leap. There is a moment of fleeting grace as I land, and my paws scrawl prints into the forest floor- as would a quill across a new sheet of parchment. I take another bounding leap towards the crystal, too careless to realize the storm clouds were moving in- and quick. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning shatters the dreary gray sky. My footing slips in shock and I plunge downwards. My paws flail out uselessly, trying to latch onto something. I see a flash of shimmering white as darkness encloses me.

Favorite forest discovery?
One day I was doodling in my journal as I walked through the forest. I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going so I accidentally tripped on something really thick and sharp, I looked down and saw something big, dusty, and somewhat white sticking out from the ground. I thought to myself whether I should dig it up, or just leave, but because of my crazy curiosity and imagination I decided I would dig it up, eventually, after about an hour of digging, it was out from the dirt and rocks, my great discovery was a big Dinosaur skull! To my surprise, there was still more to it, but I had to keep digging, I kept digging for about a week, going back and forth from my house and the forest, soon, I was done, it wasn't any other dinosaur I could recall, but it was amazing, soon I'll be famous!

I walked in the forest, trying to get back to my home before it went dark. I leapt around each rock, almost dying to not get injured. I glanced in the bushes, and then I saw it. A fox and her pups. I back off slowly. I saw her get closer and tilt her head, then showing her fangs. I didn't want to run, but I couldn't just stand there for it. I sighed, sat down, and waited for what she would do. She smiled and walked over with her pups. "Well, hello mister!" She said brightly. I smiled back. This was actually a very good day. A bird dropped down on her shoulder. "Hello, im marine!" He also said happily...."Well, it's great to meet you!" I smiled.
