3 sentence bio: Sucrose is the host of the party, the loudest and most energetic of the circus cast by far. He loves a little bit of everything and is constantly absolutely explosive with energy, often running around the entire circus grounds to see everything the brilliant scene has to offer. He lacks precision but makes up for it with sheer cheer and approachable nature.

3 sentence bio: Fructose is a silly, childish Kalon who performs on the trapese and helps item vendors around the carnival. He's a bit more tame than Sucrose and he does well to keep his more rambunctious partner in line while still having a bit of Su's courage rub off on himself. He's incredibly innocent and naive, usually relying on Sucrose to help him understand difficult situations.
What Makes Them Shine? ;; The bigtops were alight that night. Sucrose's eyes darted through the crowd. A lost boy, young and far from home, he didn't know how he'd gotten to this place in his life. He'd strived for it, longed for it-- to finally run away. To get away from the crushing pressure of his dysfunctional home life. The constant pressure and fighting, the harsh judgements, the deafening silence... He hated it, all of it. Loathed it with the very core of his being. And that is how he ended up doing, well... this. Quite literally running away to the circus, of all places. He'd always been told he was a clown-- a class one, anyway, but he figured that if the shoe fit, he was willing to wear it.
His mind wandered as he did himself, weaving through the people of varying age, shape and demeanor. He noticed little things about them as he passed. Some looked sure and content, while others were just as lost and disoriented as him-- overwhelmed, no doubt, by the barrage of sights and sounds. The flourescent lights decorating the brightly colored brigade shot through the dark of the night like lead bullets, the scent of cotton candy, popcorn and funnel cake mixed to tickle and taunt the nostrils, pulling others close to food vendors of every variety.
He'd been staring at the big top itself for a few solid minutes now. He hadn't gone in, no, but Sucrose's attention belonged only to it now. Once he'd laid eyes upon it, it was as if he were stuck. Held there by an invisible force. A demanding power called him to look closer, so he did. Blindly he stumbled inside, colliding harshly with another vaiki.
"Oh!" He blurted suddenly, "I'm so sorry about that!"
The other individual, now bowled over on the ground, looked up at Sucrose curiously, as if he'd never seen such a guy in all his life. "Uhm... hello?" The stunned vaiki replied softly, their voice gentle and smooth like a child's.
Sucrose grinned ear-to-ear and offered the stranger a hand, "What's your name, friend?" He asked, his voice contrasting sharply with its boisterous nature and proud cadence.
"Fructose." The stranger-- now Fructose-- answered somewhat sheepishly. His eyes darted about the crowd as if trying to find somewhere to hide. He'd wanted this for so long-- but now that he was here among the overwhelming presence of the circus, he felt that perhaps he'd made a mistake. He thought to himself that he couldn't do it, that running off as he did was wrong and perhaps if he scurried back home now-- no one would be mad at him.
Sucrose's boisterous voice interrupted his thoughts, however. "So, what're you doing here, Fructose?" He asked, his eyes high as he scoured the tent for any and every thing of interest to him. His eyes seemed to glitter in the limelight.
"I... well..." Fructose's eyes dropped to the ground a moment before glinting up at Sucrose uncertainly, "I wanted to join the circus." He finally slipped out, the words dripping from his mouth like precious fluid. Lifeblood. Dreams, materialized. And here they were, slipping away.
"Wanted?" Sucrose tilted his head to the side a bit, "Cold feet?"
"Actually no, my feet are quite warm at present." Fructose responded with childish naivity, totally oblivious to the saying as it drifted above his head and out of reach.
Sucrose lightly slapped his face with one claw. "No, man. I mean... Ya scared?" Fructose nodded simply, shrinking a bit into himself. Sucrose lightly patted the other's back, which caused Fructose's eyes to go wide as he shot a stare to Sucrose as if he'd been caught in the spotlight unwarratned. Sucrose just smiled one of his obnoxiously charming grins. "Don't be."
"Why not?" Fructose choked out, his voice catching in his throat. He couldn't do this. There was too much. He loved entertaining, he loved performing, he loved putting on a show-- but for this big of an audience? He knew his siblings would laugh when they found out he turned tail and came back. Coward, they'd call him, spineless. He shrank a bit more.
"Because," Sucrose patted him again, "I'll come with ya! It'll be grand, I tell ya! Let's go!" Fructose opened his mouth to blurt something in protest, but before he was able to stop the chaos from ensuing, he was yanked into the crowd.

Sucrose is a bit of an obnoxiously loud character at times, often more outgoing than others can tolerate-- meanwhile Fructose is charming but softspoken, often relying on Sucrose for courage. The two met during their first day at the circus-- both having fled their homes for different reason to pursue their own path doing something they loved. Both needed some kind of support, though refused to show that to the world. They came here seeking approval and purpose-- and found it in eachother. They treat eachother like brothers, the ying-yang relationship between them causing them to be the poles to one another. They rely on one another, they function as a unit within the grander team-- their circus. They travel all over together, rarely leaving eachother's side. They balance and complete one another so both can function properly as one whole. In essence, by being lost-- they were found. In finding one another they found the support and compassion they always needed, but never knew where to find. This is what causes them to be so close-- so inseperable. Their unity in past sorrows, and in future joys, makes them a perfect tag-team duo on the fast track to being the next big act.

They run acts together all the time! This time around durring their magic act, Hocus Pocus, they were dared by a cast member to swap places! Seems Sucrose isn't used to being out of the lead, while Fructose seems to not comprehend the risk of the ol' saw trick... Oops. Rest assured, everything went fine! Fructose may be childish and naive, but he understands how to do the act just fine. Sucrose was equally relieved by this knowledge, I assure you.
They also like clowning around!Sucrose's favorite clown accessory is his spritz flower, which Fructose still plays along with to this day because it makes Sucrose a little too happy-- and to spare others from getting sprayed as well. Fructose likes the silly patterns clowns wear-- and together they are a pie-chucking duo! Between them, on average Sucrose takes more pies to the face than Fru-- oops.
They do silly tricks together as well!Fructose absolutely loves tricks of balance, while Sucrose enjoys any oppourtunity to showboat. It'll always become a competition of 'who can balance the most?' in which Fructose simply watches Sucrose topple over and become submerged under a ton of rubber balls. Fructose doesn't actually like the competitive nature of Su's games, but he has a lot of fun either way. The two are treated both as circus animals and cast members in regards of performance activities.
Don't even get me started on the cannon...Sucrose absolutely loves that thing. He has way too much fun with daredevil stunts, which more or less worry Fructose half to death. He'll try to help Sucrose with these tasks, if anything, to keep him from getting killed. While Su is often more parental over Fru, when it comes down to his silly, careless risk-taking... well, Fru knows when to step in and monitor the resident daredevil.
