..The Feathers Found..
The moment I spotted them I was curious. They hadn't been from any feather I had seen before... Any bird I had watched in my past time. The complex designs and well blended colors seemed to call to me, and I proudly wear them.
I've been told they complement my simple design, and prove I can be just as creatively dressed as the other Viscets. These feathers give me courage, enough to stand up for what I believe in without worry of other judging. And because there are none other like them... I can say they are mine, and only mine.

I take care of them because they are the only ones. They are never ruffled, and are securely tightened to my mane in a spot I can see from the corner of my eye. I do not wear them to bed because they'll be ruined in my tossing and turning, and they do not go in water... Wether they are truly waterproof or not, I'm not tempted to find out and risk losing my precious gift from the sky.

finding of the feathers

the greater bird-of-paradise was the
first feather that xander found, and
is the feather on the right. he found
this feather while playing once, a
rather long time ago, and has kept it
with him ever since. the second feat
-her, the one on the left, was from a
lady amherst's pheasant. he had actu
-ally seen this bird up close, and wit-
nessed it lose the feather. delighted
by its absolute beauty and in awe, he
decided to keep it rather happily. this
feather was obtained, actually, very
recently, and both in such a simple m
-anner. simple ways for simple viscets.

Suri is an explorer, but doesn't just wander round a small village where she lives, she like to go on expeditions and find out new plants, inspect wildlife.

Once when on a big hike though a rainforest on her own ( though she had signals to call for help if needed ), she came across a tribe of viscets living together. There wasn't very many, about twelve. Intrigued, she decided to watch them, to inspect their behaviour. Before she could note everything down, they had spotted her, taken her to the centre of the camp and held her captive. After reasoning, they agreed on keeping her in camp for a while, but won't let her go until she proves that she wasn't harm to them.

Days passed and she proved herself to them. In fact, they grew attached to her, as she showed them her binoculars and other special equipment. Telling the little ones about her hometown was fun, and all the 'adventures' she's been in.

As a token of friendship, they gave her some feather, ones that had been painted by the young viscling, and to remember one of the greatest and moving moments in her life, she now wears them behind her ear, and tells the story of this great encounter with passion if anyone asks.
