[personality]
neptune, while not exactly the biggest social butterfly, is a very calm and
collective character towards those around him, welcoming most with open
arms and a smile, no matter who or what they are. unless provoked, neptune
is usually a very happy person, a grin or smile plastered across his face at
all time, although this isn't his only emotion.

neptune is a pretty open character overall, expressing all of his emotions
thoroughly in each and every situation along with his opinion. he is not one to
strive for trouble, but he does get himself into it frequently because of his
character -- he is very straight forward and states his opinion in every situation,
whether it's negative or positive. this leads him to be annoying to some when
he explains himself in a negative aspect.

after being around for a while, neptune gained a thirst for knowledge of
everything around him, leading him to start to studying everything around him,
soaking everything up like a sponge. he became very intelligent over the years,
the best way to put it is the stereotypical nerd character in school related movies
that blurts out the answers and goes into depth of how everything works -- that
is him, only in public environments when he hears someone say a wrong fact.
he doesn't think he's above anyone else in intelligence, he just does this so one
can learn from their mistakes and correct them in the future, letting others
gain even more knowledge as well.

overall, he is a very social, calm, and intelligent individual who simply seeks
knowledge and a little but of fun in his everyday life and a little bit of happiness.

[career]
neptune has always been a fan of being in the air and building stuff, so he did some
research on this and found a career that seemed perfect for him - an aircraft engineer.
he went through with this and has participated in the building of many jets and airplanes,
along with repairing some world war two jets that are stationed in the national air and space
museum in washington, d.c. His favourite thing to build and test are jets, since he
gets an adrenaline rush from their speed that makes him happy.

to get more knowledge of jets, neptune is currently on a 12-month trip in Russia, studying
with a professional general of the army there.

anginophobia - this is not as common a fear as claustraphobia, but it's still a very serious problem in Neptune's everyday life; he first got this fear by watching part of a movie where people were killed via suffocation. This triggered his fear, causing everyday to be affected. Anginophobia is his biggest fear. It causes him to dislike pillows & other hazards.
atychiphobia - Atychiphobia is the fear of failure. This is a natural born fear for Neptune, he seems to have always had it, despite his parents saying otherwise. This is a very common fear, generally triggered by the stress and pressure of life in a public school. He was always scolded by teachers, considering he was never a star student in school.
cleithrophobia - this fear goes hand in hand with the fear of suffocation- he obtained it while watching those "last twenty-four hours in this bathroom covered in roaches" shows. He was never afraid of the bugs, just the fact that if he needed to get out at some point, he would be locked away and no one would see or find him.

his insomnia - this, unlike his sister, venus' adhd was actually diagnosed by a doctor, though there is no cure. For a while, Neptune took pills to help him sleep but he soon found that he got little to no sleep and the sleep he did get he dreamt horrid nightmares, so at night he comes to life and practices cooking and stargazes if the sky's clear.

his career - with great knowledge comes really heavy students loans... Neptune attended law school and got his four year degree + a masters in law. Using this, he works as a contractor about two and a half miles away from his home. Neptune actually likes his job and it pays good.

baking - baking has always been a hobby of Neptune's- he grew up baking and cooking. It always used to help his anxiety and soothe him sometimes to the point of almost sleeping. To Neptune cooking just comes easy, he has never burnt anything (except once but hey who can blame him he was four?). During the long, cloudy nights he bakes for Cadia. He bakes whatever he thinks she would want in the morning. Or he bakes dinner for the next night. Rarely does he bake during the day.

Neptune grew up in a warm environment surrounded by his mother, father, and sister. Venus and Neptune were,
and quite frankly still are, inseparable. Neptune doesn't like to me around others who aren't family very often,
so it would only make sense that he's close with his sister. She was the only plumie Neptune would play his piano
for, and when she'd listen he'd become ten time better at playing.

He became infatuated with the art of mechanics at about fifteen, not a very big surprise to him, it was something
that he wanted to be apart of long before music had come into his life. Neptune lived a normal life up until he was
twenty two, when his minor love for planets and stars led him to an observatory that needed help with repairing
telescopes. A long story short, Neptune became a part-time mechanic here, while still keeping his job as an inventor.

Once he had turned twenty three, he meet another plumie, who he had fallen hopelessly in love with. Her name was
Cadia, and she was perhaps the best thing that had ever happened to him since sliced bread. He's still in love with her,
and hopes that his feelings are recuperated...

neptune jo tuttle is a 20 year old trans ftm. he is much happier with himself now that he is able to express how he truly feels. he often has his head in the clouds and can act like a child sometimes. he prefers his imagination, which can be very vivid at times, over real life any day. neptune has gone through quite a lot in his short life so far and would rather a much more peaceful version of the world that's in his head. he tends to be calm because of this and generally tries to accept everyone. neptune has his ups and downs like everyone, but is more often in his ups. he tries to enjoy life to the fullest and wants the best for others.

while he may not be open to talking to strangers out of the blue, if you know him, he probably won't stop talking to you. he also seems to have some new trivial bit of information to start up a conversation that ends up being four hours long. he could look online for hours finding fun little facts to keep in the back of his mind. neptune has a journal that he likes to write them down in so he won't forget. he also does something similar with his dreams. if he has a dream he remembers, he'll write them down and look up what they supposedly mean later for fun.

career wise, you would think that neptune wants something to do with space. he doesn't dislike space, he thinks it's really cool, but it's not something he plans to study for the rest of his life. he's actually interested in the other side of the world, the sea. neptune has recently considering becoming a professional scuba diver. he loves the water and sea creatures and would get to travel lots of places. he also has a dream that one day he'll be on a game show and end up winning since as stated before, he loves looking up fun facts. now, neptune has never actually been scuba diving, as he's never really had the opportunity. he has swam though and is a quick learning so he thinks it won't be a problem. currently he is studying marine biology and has quite a few fish tanks in his apartment.

there aren't a lot of plumerians on neptune's bad side, and those who are, are just usually ignored. generally, most people he meets he is willing to at least try to be friends with, but it's okay if it doesn't always work out. neptune tries to be close to his family as they allow. he knows he can be a bit annoying, but he loves his family nonetheless. they have been supportive of him and he can always rely on them for support. his family is pretty big, which means more people for neptune to talk about his interests to. he's hoping to be closer to a few, solid, good friends that are willing to talk for hours on a rooftop or something, like in the movies.
