Why they love the ocean:
Riptide loves the ocean due to many different reasons. Firstly, Riptide loves surfing. Surfing is one of Riptide's favourite hobbies. He's quite serious about it, and though he has been to only a few contests, he's very talented at it. Secondly, Riptide loves hanging out with friends at the beach and swimming in the water. He loves the way the wind whips at his fur and the salt gets caught in his hair. He especially likes going to the beach with friends on windy days - well, a) wind creates the best waves to surf and b) himself and his friends sometimes like to go swimming further out than most people would on their surfboards. Not actually surfing, just on their boards. This is just a safety precaution - at least if the wind knocked them off of their boards, they would be able to get back on. Why do they go when it's windy, you may ask? Well, for the thrill of it! They're all very outgoing, so while most would find it dangerous and scary, Riptide and his friends find it exuberant.

Honestly, this was a difficult choice since all forms had a great five word personality along with a descriptive reason why this Leafie loves the ocean, but I've decided that grievers; is the winner! ;v; Congrats! Your description of Riptide's love for surfing and being around friends really brought out his character.

Dew loves the ocean due to the lovely calming aura it brings him. The sound brings him relaxation and peace. He enjoys sitting on a nearby rock, seeing the ocean slap onto the boulders surrounding him making the Leafie feel relaxed and subdued. Sometimes he can sit there for hours, watching the ocean roll in and out. The neverending waves are almost like therapy for him.

Why they love the ocean: Shark loves the ocean, well, because of sharks! Actually, Chomper showed him the ocean first. He found it fascinating how some sharks swim up so close to shore and aren't afraid of leafies. He sometimes takes a boat out and goes scuba diving to look for the sharks. He has seen tiger sharks more than anything though because of how they are close to shore. He has seen a great white once but that was all. The sea turtles also fascinate him in many ways. One, because of their shells. Like the leatherback and green sea! The shells are pretty cool, and how they go up on shore and lay the eggs then just leave. He also loves the sea turtles ways in the ocean. How the get on a seaweed raft as babies, then go to a reef as adults. Thats kinda why Shark loves the ocean!
