City Lights
This piece portrays the two in their city home. Perhaps not the most
magnificent city, but they love living there.
The two optimists appreciate their broken down little city and enjoy
many daily adventures. They work their way through life's challenges
and conquer life in the city together.

I personally like the sketch a lot more. ;o;
Chrome's memory of anything before Aoi adopted him is incredibly lacking. Even still he often wakes up in the middle of the night after having nightmares. He can't remember who the dreams are about or why they're so vividly horrifying but he'll often come to her room crying so hard that he can't speak. Aoi has gotten into the habit of meeting him halfway down the hall when she hears his door open. Until he has settled down Aoi hides under the blankets with him and reads him all kinds of stories. They vary from knights saving princesses from dragons to just a man traveling around the world to see all its wonders.
After about an hour of sniffling under the covers with Aoi sometimes the commotion will end up waking up Siren and she'll come join them in the bed to hear stories. Siren likes to joke about the stories and sometimes get carried away by jumping around the room pretending to be the knight that's coming to save the princess (Chrome) from the big mean dragon. (Aoi) Once the knight has slain the dragon Aoi tucks them into bed with her for the night and kisses their foreheads.

Here enjoy some Lord Monochromicorn while I work on this. :3

Charlie wriggles comfortably within Calder’s pouch, safe and warm.
Her eyes slit open. Everyone is here, all together. Winnie, Mom, she
corrects, and Dad.The twins, Max and Neptune. The tiniest Ollie, her
little brother. And her only sister, Colette. Neptune is playing with her
scarf. Colette looks to be plotting some kind of revenge. Mom, she’s
just watching them all, a contentedness about her. Max is grinning,
always the happy child.

Charlie snuffs happily, rolls and props her forefeet out the opening of
Dad’s pouch. He must feel her move about because he sits up further,
reared back. She cranes her head up to stare at him a moment before
looking to her baby brother again. She scrambles forward, struggling
for purchase. All at once, she flops forward, face first onto the grass,
her hind legs still caught up in Dad’s pouch. But Ollie is right there,
blinking at her owlishly in surprise. Words ring out in her head:

Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in
theirs; the ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would
do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what.

Description:

---While on a storm-plagued trip in Japan, Duran "rescued" a six-year-old orphaned Bean
from a life on the streets. After spending only a short amount of time with him, Durango
offered to give the boy a clean slate with a new name and new home.
---On the plane back to America, Tanaka confided in Durango that he's always wanted to
learn Karate, among other forms of Martial Arts. Shortly after returning home with his new
charge, Duran enrolled the young Bean in Martial Arts School only ten minutes away as
the Bean walks. Tanaka was ecstatic and excelled quickly, advancing to an impressively
high level in quite a short amount of time. Both of his new parents are exceedingly proud
of the newest addition to their family; as are his new siblings, although Raine is the only
one he sees regularly.
---Tanaka is a very dedicated young Bean - whatever he decides he wants to do, he gives
his all and does 100%. Despite his rough start in life, the youngster has impressive
manners and a great respect for others. Now at the top of his class, he occasionally
assists his sensei with the younger members and their lessons.

Shardul has sort of 'adopted' this youngling off the street but they don't have a strong attachment, most of her time is spent wandering. Although quite often she'll sleep on his roof, just staring up at the sky. _ lived most of her childhood on the streets without parents so she's pretty used to the concept of having no where to go and no rules so its sort of interesting to be able to bike out of her small dirt city and have a place to come back to.
