Elvena is a loud, optimistic and determined plumerian, always the first
to accept any challenge that comes her way despite the risks. This
adventurous personality has gotten her in trouble countless times;
indeed, she has injured herself trying to accomplish a dare more than
once, but she never lets that dishearten her. It's unclear to her friends
whether this is a good thing or a very bad thing.
To those who are not well acquainted with her, Elvena is somewhat of a
mystery. Though her friends all know her as a plumerian who cannot shut
her mouth with a voice comparable in volume to gunfire, she often refuses
to speak to those whom she does not consider to be her friends. She
holds nothing against them; in fact, quite the opposite, as she wouldn't
dare to assume things about people she doesn't know; but she prefers
to keep quiet around them for fear of embarrassing herself. On the topic
of embarrassing herself, Elvena believes that making a fool out of yourself
is the most embarrassing thing you can do, so she keeps her mouth shut
in order to avoid situations like that happening to her. Of course, nobody
but her knows this, so she may come off as unfriendly or even downright
rude to those around her.
However, when she's with a large group of people, Elvena finds it easier
to speak to others. Granted, she keeps her volume low, and the words
she speaks are few, but speech is speech regardless. Over the past few
years, Elvena has begun to learn that it really isn't all that important
when you embarrass yourself, though she still takes it rather seriously.
When she's at work, Elvena doesn't speak a word. If she is
preoccupied with something, it's of no use to attempt to involve her in
any conversations, because she completely zones out when she is doing
something, and will not respond to any questions or statements directed
at her. She takes her work very seriously; she would not tolerate any
distractions, even going so far as to purchase opaque black windows
to block outside light shining in, working only by the light of candles
and the fireplace within her home. She needn't wear anything over her
ears, for she lives alone, and she has no neighbours. When she is at
work, her house is deathly silent.
Nobody is without faults, and Elvena is certainly no exception to
that rule. Alongside her overwhelming fear of embarrassment,
Elvena is also an incredibly obnoxious person by nature; so often
overlooks important details, and is ignorant to the feelings of
others when she accidentally hurts them. She is prone to
accidentally overlooking body language, leading to her
seeming ignorant and unfriendly.
To make this worse, Elvena finds it very difficult to apologise
to anybody, regardless of whether she is sorry or not. It's
not that she doesn't believe she has done wrong; she does admit
to this easily; she simply holds dignity and pride too highly to
let it go like that. Instead of apologising to somebody, Elvena
is likely to avert her eyes and stay silent, not wishing to
aggravate the other person further. Elvena is a prideful
plumerian by nature - what she has in the way of assets and
values, she holds highly, not letting anything bring her down.
Though she is a quintessential 'tough girl', Elvena is
somewhat of a drama queen. She seems to take delight
in overreacting to just about anything, finding it utterly
hilarious when she gets on somebody's nerves and making
a big deal of anything anybody says to her. This jokey
attitude is not welcomed by anybody, though Elvena usually
spares her closest friends this treatment.
It's no big secret that Elvena works incredibly well, but
although she tries her hardest to get everything done,
it takes a lot to convince her to get up and start working
in the first place. Elvena is a procrastinator, and often
leaves things to the last minute only to discover that
she doesn't have enough time to finish them. However,
when she is working, she can work for hours on end,
stopping only to adhere to her basic needs.
