accessory - Gallego's collar is inspired from the intricate nest weaving that comes as second nature to all birds. Aware that his coloration is strikingly similar to the robin's gorgeous egg, he likens the collar to a nest, and himself to the egg. The leather was passed onto him by his older brother who left for unknown reasons years before, and for a long time Gallego felt he would never find anything worthy of the beautiful leather until he came across a mother robin and her nest in the yard. Working tirelessly beneath the tree, it is his most treasured and revered piece of work to date, and holds vast personal meaning. Painting a smooth river rock like a robin's egg to hang from the collar, it completes the look and has since become a part of Gallego's self.
