WHAT DOES THIS KALON
REMIND YOU OF?
REMIND YOU OF?

- A traditional, oaken room with a sense of homeliness to it. Once lit by the lavender skies of the day; now lit by dimming candles and the fading sunset.
Hints of nutmeg and cinnamon throughout the house; the faint smell of wood lingering within.
The sky outside - once bright, shining colors of pink, purples, and blues - slowly fading into deeper oranges and reds as the day goes on. Outside, the smell of firewood is drawn from a crackling fire, the flames outstretching towards the sky. Embers drift away from the fire, drifting away into the sky's own sunset.
Although no longer bright, the house retains its warm demeanor through the light of candles and the sun, fading into the horizon. As the outside loses its light, though brief, the inside contains its inner warmth.
- ---- SUMMARY ---- -
OF CHARACTER
A kalon who truly knows where she belongs; yet she finds herself wandering, as if there's more to it but she hasn't quite realized that. While she has a firm, idealistic point of view, she finds others around her slipping. Almost as if it's some sort of goal, she optimizes herself to be the "hero" that she believes many to need. An inspiring, selfless heroic figure that goes by no other name...but is this to hide her own insecurities within her life, or merely just another altruistic motive?OF CHARACTER
By the compliments of others, she's fooled herself into believing her mind is clear. Every single act she carries out should be one of compassion; in her opinion, following that same rule consistently would void anything that wouldn't be considered pure thoughts and actions, by her standards.
However, who solely acts on kindness without thinking of any repercussions involved? After all, for this kalon, compassion can be a dangerous concept.
As a relatively composed being, Forrest has no ulterior motive to continue on with her dreams. It's as if time stood still around her - but chose to continue on with the world around her. Although she appears content through and through, the idea of moving on with her life - which includes nothing but compassion - scares her. She's found something to be appreciative of, and being able to truly commit to it is all that matters to her.
Taking that away from her is taking away the one thing she's based her entire life upon.

-For this kalon, it's easy to see how defined Forrest is by her traits. Since she's known as a kind, selfless kalon, it's not surprising to see her have friends. It is, however, surprising to most to see her break. Often, her lesser-distinguished traits are the ones that are most prevalent in her mind, but not to others. Even to herself, seeing her act odd is something foreign. Her controlling life is structured for a reason; without structure, she finds herself slipping. She finds herself no longer feeling safe, and the everlasting need to start anew. She finds those around her no longer mattering.
Her biggest fault - feeling the need to impress others around her. The undying urge to push others into becoming what she idealistically views herself as. Those around her may want to be compassionate, just like her - but nobody truly wants to be her. Despite putting all this effort in to make people happy, for some "greater cause" - in the downturns of her life, she finds no one there to help her. The bleak feelings of regret and anguish surface.
She's spent so little time on improving her quality of life, and instead, wanting to help others in some hypocritical, haphazard push. At the times where she finds herself slipping, there's no true way to fix what she feels because she simply doesn't know how to. Positioned where everyone she's met describes her as hopeful, calm, and composed, Forrest is too scared to ask for help.
As time progresses, she finds herself only getting worse and worse.

HOW OTHERS SEE HER
Forrest is a rather bulky kalon; she's fairly tall and has a hard time controlling this. You'll often see her running into things simply out of misjudgment of how close an object was to her. She wouldn't be considered clumsy all around, but more so focused on bumping into things rather than tripping over her own feet. Despite her size, you'll find her easily getting scared or startled at even the littlest of things. Needless to say, her guard is down almost constantly - even though that's the sole reason as to why she's not constantly in fear. It's easy for things to get out of hand when you startle her, since she has such a disliking of it.
Otherwise, Forrest seems to be rather calm and composed on the exterior. It's admirable, especially since she seems to know where she's going in life. Except, most of this is simply Forrest diverging her true problems from what she pretends matters most.
Few have both perspectives of Forrest's mind - most of the time, it's only one out of the two. It's the same for Forrest herself, although she doesn't entirely realize it.
The idea that she has control over her life is ideal for her and everyone around her, but, unfortunately, not always true. She truly enjoys helping others, although it's not simply just because she's "compassionate" as she always mentions. At the end of the road, she has some sort of expectation for them. Because she's so naive, it's easy to think of the world as a compassionate one - and they would return the favor for her if she ever needed it.
Unfortunately for her, this is often seen as a double standard because she pushes the belief that she's being kind out of "her own heart." In reality, it's a safeguard system to keep her from getting hurt. Sadly, it's not foolproof.

END.
In Forrest's life, she needs to focus on the one thing she's scared of most: change. Rather than sitting and waiting for something to happen to her, she needs to focus on making that thing happen. She needs to continue to believe in herself, rather than focusing it on others. She needs someone who will see the whole of her; not just what she puts up as a front, nor what she thinks on the inside. Without seeing both, no kalon would truly want to be around her. They imbalance each other in different ways, and as of now, Forrest can't cope with either separately. In the future, Forrest will have to either change her life, hopefully for the better - or continue slipping away until she finds herself lost once again.
