You may recognize this horse under the name of Joey from the War Horse book and movie, but this mighty stallion is the original. His name was Warrior, and he was known as The Horse The Germans Couldn't kill. Warrior survived many disasters as long as some famous battles; a few examples being some of the battles at Somme and Ypres. Warrior had come back four years battle, whereas eight million other horses and mules did not. 100 years after his work on the battlefield, in September of 2014, Warrior was awarded the PDSA Dickin medal, recognized at the animals Victoria Cross and honoring all the animals that had served in the Great War. Warrior is brave and loyal. He will do his duty even if it means dying. He loves jumping and galloping. He also loves mounted archery. He is a little aggressive but not much. He loves all other horses and thinks it's his duty to protect them. He is always ready to charge into battle to protect his friends. He hates lazy selfish people who don't do their share of work. He is 100% work horse.
