The warm, lub-dub of a beating heart next to his ear and the feeling of soft, velvety fur. The thing he dreams of seems very big and familial, which confuses him. He's been alone for as long as he can remember, so he can't explain this presence.

Khylen dreams of being able to feel his emotions as well as every other Kalon he's met before. Whenever a friend is crying, he cant feel sympathy as much as he wants to. He only has two emotions, neutral and affectionate. He knows in the back of his mind however that not being able to sympathize makes him seem like a jerk. When he's dreaming, he can feel normal. If he ever sees a friend who's sad, he dreams of comforting that friend and seeing how empathy feels.

what do they dream of? he dreams of what every color would look like if it was all combined -- considering he is blind . sadly he was born with this, and when he goes to sleep this is what he looks for , all the colors in the universe .
personality xavier is very self conscious. he rarely leaves his boat. yes , xavier hates admitting it , but he is blind, and can't ride a boat by himself. xavier always has his seeing eye dog, cami, with him. but sadly dogs can't drive boats. so he always has a friend accompany him. he loves to be outside, feel the salt hit his face, and imagine what the sea looks like. he is a free spirited type, and this mostly gets him in trouble.
short story
xavier tossed his hair out of his face, the salty wind blowing it back into place. taking a deep breath, he smiled. he was at peace with the world, waves tossing and turning him like a baby being cradled in a crib. xavier loved it here. whistling, he called out, "cami!" a small nova scotia dog trotted out from behind some boxes, and licked xavier's palm. he laughed.
"cmon now girl, now I can't hold the rod!" he felt around, and found the rod. he jerked it up, then let it settle again. xavier rested his hand on it gently. A sudden yank made him spin around. he felt the vibrations, and began pulling it in. the line thrashed, and xavier fought back with the same forceful pulling. minutes passed, and cami sighed and layed down, resting her golden furred head in her white paws. xavier laughed in triumph and pulled a wrestling fish onto the boat. it was a king mackerel, and after taking out the hook with expert hands, he held it down and felt around. "a.. a king mackerel, I believe."
a male kalon about xavier's age walked down from his quarters and put the fish gently in a cooler. barracudas and mahi mahi's scales brightened in the sun. he chuckled. "another big mackerel, huh xavier ?" xavier laughed, handing the man his line. "do me a solid and put some of my baitfish on there?" he grinned and nodded, than stopped and said, "sure man." after rebaiting it, he stuck it in a holder. "take a break man, you've been at it 4 hours straight." chuckling, xavier said, "alright man. let's head back, I'm pretty worn out."
