Meaning behind name: In mythology, Ligeia is a siren who's name means 'shrill' and 'whistle'. This lion was given the name because of her element of sound and with it the ability to create high pitched tones as well as soothing songs that can lure any creature.

Relationship with parents:
Ecko x Ligeia
The apple does not fall far from the tree between these two! Having the same element as her father and not to mention the same ideals, they have a much stronger relationship than Ligeia does with her mother. Often, you will see Ecko teaching Ligeia to get the hang of her element while he is multitasking to accompany Ligeia's siblings. They both believe in justice, allowing them to both bond by playing, story telling and sharing dreams.
Aylin x Ligeia
Their relationship is a quiet one. Both of their personalities are nearly complete opposites. Not to help the situation there is also the painful difference that being that Ligeia sings to make someone happy but Aylin is deaf so Aylin cannot experience Ligeia's form of happiness. All of this does not mean they don't love each other. Ligeia has found that she can hum making vibrations that Aylin can feel and can find comfort in while Aylin pushes herself to keep their relationship by trying to place herself into more events like playtime or drawing in the sand.

Ligeia has always dreamed not of fighting by brute strength or in extremely heavy armor but by grace and agility. She has the skill to be light on her feet enabling her to skillfully dodge just about anything but lets not forget: she also has the element of sound. She can use her element to lead away or lure enemies close, even distract enemies to allow others to take advantage of them letting their guard down to make the final blow. She can move position unnoticed with deathly stealth to trap and ambush.
Story:
Silence is a virtue
The morning was freezing, its icy grip covering the rolling hills that were sprinkled with frost accented by golden dust. Ligeia's muscles scream as she rolls into a sternal position, yesterday's training as hard but she feels that she has accomplished just about the entire world. She rests her eyes on the top of the hill, where the white hot sun peeks its head up from the horizon. The night is retiring for the day so Ligeia can continue her adventure.
She lifts herself onto her feet, still sore from just the day before. Ligeia purrs as the early morning rays of sun warm her side and the cold ground. A new day means a new lesson and a new lesson means a stronger, more prepared Ligeia. Looking directly ahead, Ligeia begins her daily trek of seeking lions to socialize with. She glances back with her moon-pale eyes to capture the warming image of a happy, sleeping family. Smiling, Ligeia sneaks out of the mouth of their dwelling escaping the swallowing darkness within the throat of the cave.
She breaks into a long stride, evasively making her way over holes and stray shrubs. The land is arid, only green iridescent grass land to be seen for miles. Just over that hill, should be where she can find some traveling nomads making their way across the soil. As expected, there was a small group of 3 nomads leisurely traveling the land. They spot Ligeia and smile because they have seen her many times when passing through.
Ligeia suddenly screeches as something from behind lands atop of her. Rolling onto her back, then down the hill towards the nomads, she grunts as she frees herself from one of her siblings. Hikaru stares a demeaning, blank look at Ligeia when they both sit up to make eye contact, but burst into laughter as they lunge themselves at each other. The nomads laugh as well, but they wanted to wait no further for continuing down the warn path.
Ligeia attempts to run after them, but Hikaru stands in her way. Ligeia begins to complain but comes to unsettling terms that her voice was gone. Panic widens her eyes and her heart flutters in fear. Her stomach tightens and her head becomes loud in thought. Hikaru looks at her dumbfounded, but quickly realizes what her problem is and begins to crackle in laughter. Ligeia pouts at Hikaru and attempts to tell him to shut is pie hole but what comes out was silence.
She only becomes more scared over the situation and starts to lose it. She lifts her dorsal hairs and bolts back over the hill in the direction of her cave. She trips several times over holes she previously avoided with ease, the eighth time does she stop to hear Hikaru approach this time not laughing. "Your smile makes me happy, don't worry about your voice because it is the second most beautiful about you right after that beaming smile of yours," He states.
Ligeia's only response is to only smile. In any given situation like this, normally she would say against it and put herself down saying that its not true. She knows that it must be true because Hikaru strives to make others happy just as much as she does. Ligeia calms down and continues to smile as she learned that she doesn't have to only rely on herself to make everyone happy. To make everyone happy includes that she must be happy as well. Her inability to sing does not limit her ability to make others happy, a silent smile can do just the job.
