I've had this babe saved for a while and finally got some time to get on the computer and post it!
The first whiptail dragon with wiiiiings~ They're definitely not big enough for them to fly for long periods of time, but you can decide if you want them to be able to fly (short periods of time) or not.
I'm excited, I really hope you guys like this one.

Now, on how to win this babe.
I'm in the mood for reading some creative stories, so just tell me a story about their wings.
It could be about the first time they flew (or tried to fly), or maybe when they realized their wings were special..

Alright. He could do this, no need to be afraid...
He stood at the ledge, sucking in a breath. He'd never tried to fly before now, since he was too scared in case he hurt himself. He'd tried hovering, which seemed to work okay...
But he'd never tried to fly. He took one more breath before stepping back and opening his wings, and then he jumped forward and began to flap sporadically. It managed to work for the first few minutes, before he flopped onto the ground that was five feet below him. He stood up after a few minutes, feeling giddy. He did it! Even if it wasn't much, he did it!
He scampered to climb up the ledge again, to try to fly once more. It wasn't as bad as he had thought it would be! He made it up the ledge and took another breath, stepping back before rushing forward and beginning to flap his wings again. Each time he repeated the process, he got a little better, a little less afraid of flying further.

Soon enough, he wasn't scared at all.

He decided to try to attempt to go a longer distance. He packed a small satchel, with some funds and a bit of food. He put it on his neck before heading outside, beginning to take off. Gadget started flying forward, trying to gain some height, and he began to pick up speed. He'd managed to get over the trees by now! Proud of himself, he kept going forward. The breeze felt nice to him, and after a few moments, he decided to land to take a break. It'd been a few minutes, but he felt that going much further wouldn't be good.

Landing on one of the trees, he began to climb down to reach the ground. He flopped onto the forest floor, opening his satchel to pick out a small snack to eat. He began to munch on it, resting his wings for a little while.

The wind felt wonderful as it blew over my face. The sun was shining through the trees and the temperatures were nice and warm, the perfect weather for flying. That is, if you knew how to fly. Although I'd been born with wings, using them was another matter altogether. Neither of my parents had wings and nobody else I knew did either and so, there was nobody who could teach me how to use them. That was alright though, I'd seen birds fly before so I figured that watching them could give me a basic idea. That was a mistake. Apparently the jump and flap method didn't work unless you already knew how to fly. It also really hurt when you crashed into the ground. One evening though, I got an idea. I'd noticed that some birds seemed to ride on the wing thermals and it allowed them to glide for long periods of time. Perhaps if I could find a high place, I could use a thermal to get myself into the air. It was worth a try and far better than my other ideas so far. It didn't take me long to find a high cliff I could use to test my idea. Although, if I crashed this time, it would hurt a lot worse than most of my other attempts. Oh well, I had to try. In the end, I did jump off and to my great surprise, it actually worked. I had to flap a few times to stay up but once I caught the thermal, I was able to glide for a little while. The landing was a bit rough though but I didn't care at that point. I had flown! After that day I kept practicing but in the end, I never could take off how birds did, my wings were just too small. That was okay though because I had found another way to fly.

Story about wings: Tyler's little sister Maya pulled and poked his wings, "Why don't you try to fly?!" Tyler growled and rolled away from her, "Why?" "Because!!" Maya whined. Tyled stood up and looked at his reflection in the puddle that had been left by the rain from the day before. He looked at his tiny wings and sighed, "I just don't want to fly. It's not fair to creatures like you that can't fly." Maya pointed out a bird flying overhead, "But birds do it all the time!" "They're meant to fly," Tyler countered. Why am I arguing with my sister? "Maya I just don't want to, but maybe one day I will." Tyler knew he would never try to fly because flying would mean leaving behind Maya and after their parents died he just couldn't do that to her. He sat down and used his paw to flop Maya over blowing on her belly to make her giggle. "I wanna ride on your back as you fly! If I get too much bigger I won't be able to." Tyler laughed, "Oh so that's why you want me to fly so bad." Maya blushed and stuffed her face in Tyler's chest giving him a big teddy bear hug. You are why I will never fly but I will always love you. Tyler smiled, hugging his little sister tightly.

A scream awoke Tyler from his deep sleep and he immediately sat up and looked for Maya. Realizing she wasn't there he immediately stood up and sprinted towards the sound, "Maya!" "Tyler!" Running towards her voice, he finally got close enough to see her in a clearing with a very large bear slowly getting closer. He realized the two cubs hiding behind their momma and knew Maya must've gotten too close. Racing forward without a care for his own safety he jumped and scooped Maya up by the scruff of her neck. Standing on his back legs he flapped his wings in the bears face to confuse her before darting off with Maya. Once they were a safe distance away Tyler sat and gave Maya a stern talking to about getting too close to other animals, "We're different and we can be intimidating to other animals." Maya grumbled and rolled her eyes, "Why don't I have any friends like us?" Tyler frowned, "Because I'm different." Maya looked up at him as if she had hurt him, "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean.." Tyler cut her off, "Hey I like being different and with you not having any friends it means I get to hang out with my cool little sis more!" Maya laughed and played with Tyler's paw, "You're just saying that, you don't think I'm cool." Tyler smirked, "You're right." "Hey!" Maya yelled tumbling into him. "It's not like I saved you or anything today." Maya stopped playing and sat up, "Ya know you've never tried to fly yet." Tyler swallowed the lump in his throat, "I don't want to!" Maya looked horrified and Tyler apologized, "I'm sorry.. I just don't want to fly. The terrible truth that her refused to tell Maya was how their father had died. He had been attacked mid-air by.. well Tyler couldn't remember... but it took him out and he crash landed but he didn't survive. Their mother had been so distraught that she abandoned them so from that day forward Tyler vowed to never fly. Maybe one day when Maya grew up and fell in love or had a family of her own he would try but until then he would only use them to hold and protect Maya at night or to shield her from other creatures.
