Ryuu Yuudai was born the runt to a beautiful mother and a mystery father. When Ryuu Yuudai was younger he was in love with dragons for part of his life he thought he was a dragon. For years he would 'make a fool of himself' as his mother would say. He was a depressed child when he got the news that he was not part dragon. when he was a teen he worked as a paleontologist (A scientist who studies fossils is a paleontologist. Fossils, which are preserved remains of ancient life, are usually found in rocks. They record the history of life on earth. A paleontologist may study fossils that range from tiny bacteria to giant dinosaurs.)

One day he was out on a trip in china and was on his way to Mount Tai to look for more fossils and since Ryuu Yuudai was never very rich so he wore old rags around looking for bones. While he was walking toward the top of the mountain he was looking at the clouds and wondered where his father could be, As he was looking he tripped over a rock and when he looked down he realized it was a HUGE BONE the size of a child's bed in the ground below him. He starts to dig up the bone wondering what he's gonna do with it. Once he digs up the bone he starts to walk down the mountain with the large bone in his arms. As soon as he got back to his village his people told other people of his Bone. Soon there was a huge amount of people coming to buy his bone or offer for it. Soon he took the price of 1.5 Billion dollars since the bone he had belonged to a DRAGON. Meaning he found the first bone of ta dragon in the world. He soon became a mulibillionaire and used his money to fund more paleontologist's to look for more dragons.

Even though Ryuu Yuudai is a rich billionaire he doesn't want a billionaire house. He likes the wilderness and simple places. He wanted a simple house like the one he had with his family in china, He spent half a billion dollars buying all the land around his cabin. He loves the smell of the wild. when he was younger he remembers wandering away from home to go to his secret place in the woods, once when he was in his secret hiding spot he seen a pure white deer with huge white antlers. Now since he bought the land where he saw the white deer he goes there every year on the day he seen it hoping to catch a glimpse of it again.

overall docile nature makes him welcoming
to tourists and natives alike in central Beijing.
He adores the visitors- the variety of people
who visit honestly dazzles him and it wouldn't
be a normal day for him if someone didn't take
a picture with him or if a hopeful child didn't try
to mosey his or her way up his tail. (For the record,
he only gives rides to the nice ones.) He spends
most of his time wandering the microcosm in the
spring and lounging about under the gates in the
heat of summer. In the winter, however, Jianyu
tends to restrict himself to the inner gardens
because of the cold and pollution, and silently
enjoys the lull in tourists. He adores fall, though,
because of the colors and also because he can
start wearing his beloved felt scarf. The
numerous festivals around the year and the
fact that the city closes on Mondays except
in the summer are definitely bonuses as well.
But the sheer beauty of the sun peeking out
over the walls every morning, and the soft
stirrings of the staff's final preparations
for the upcoming day are the things he
loves the most.

Jianyu was found as an egg by the staff who
upkeep the forbidden palace for the public
(specifically the inner court)- Considering
the fact that the forbidden city in Beijing is
surrounded by sprawling urban sites, it's kind
of a wonder of how he got there in the first
place. The staff kept him incubated for about
a week before he hatched as the sun rose above
the walls in early spring, and then Jianyu
consequently stole the hearts of the staff
and people around the world. Nowadays,
much like the early emperors, he spends
the majority of his time within the
confines of the forbidden city, but it
would be a low day for him to describe
his home as constricting. He's actually
free to come and go as he pleases since
he brings in revenue and keeps himself fairly
clean all around. Actually, outside sources
actually did try to keep him confined
to the city permanently at one point, but
with the help of the staff, social media,
and his own ire, the problem was resolved
real quick. The stiffness of the
Chinese soldiers sometimes puts him
off whenever he visits the other buildings

Jianyu's Bio

Nickname
Jianyu actually wasn't called Jianyu for
the first few weeks of his life. The staff
of the inner court didn't really know what
to name him, so they just called him
Xiǎo-lóng, or little dragon, after the little
nubs he sported under his limbs and cheeks.
Although, after that time period, Jianyu
actually indirectly chose his own name by
not responding to "Xiaolong." At this point
in his life he can't even recall the reason
behind why he did that, let alone the
moments where he shunned Xiaolong as
a name, but the staff likes to tease him
about how Jianyu was smart enough to
want to control his /own/ fate and have
a big, strong name. His little spikes never
did seem to grow very long.

Name
While Jianyu operates in an analytical manner,
he, surprisingly, rarely lives up to such a strong
name. "Building the universe" seems much more
appropriate for a natural leader, who Jianyu is
not. He's actually fairly fragile physically
since he's never had to fight a day in his life.
Not to mention, he's also still considered the
baby of the staff's family, so he's never had to
manage or lead anything either. Instead of
embodying the dragon he was first named after,
he acts more akin to a panda.

Relationships with other Viscets
(In this little AU at least, with humans and
viscets coexisting) Jianyu has never personally
met or even fully seen another viscet. There
were close calls though, since there was one
memorable occasion where he visited a section
of the great wall and saw a glimpse of glowing
eyes and a large, impressive mane in the
surrounding forests. He knows that there are
domesticated viscets out there, but large pets
aren't really welcome in Beijing; Jianyu is a
bit of a special case though, since no one views
him as a pet. His world view is alarmingly
stunted, even with the variety of people he
sees day by day. Then again, it is only a
matter of time.

Favorite Place in the City
The Inner Court gardens, of course. He's not
allowed to drink from any of the water in
the gardens due to the tap water being
questionable and lowish budget, but since
he likes to be in the water sometimes the
staff does replace the water periodically
nowadays. The air pollution is also not as
bad due to the trees, so on really smoggy
days he just sleeps with an animal
respirator under gnarled branches. Most
of the shops are there too so admittedly
he bums off of tourists. He loves anything
with peanuts in it.

Language
Another fact about him is that he understands
snippets of over ten different languages in
addition to Chinese (and to a certain extent
English), which he knows pretty fluently.
He can also speak them but no one other
than the staff knows since he's able to get
his point across through simple vocalizations.

''Hello there! I'm Prince Maxon, but call me Maxon. Welcome to my palace. How did I get here, you ask? Well, I wasn't exactly welcomed here. While the King and Queen were out on an urgent visit, they left my unhatched egg here. I was well cared for, as this castle has many, many comforts, but once I hatched, I was devastated. I could tell that none of the guards or servants were my parents; they simply didn't look like me. Out of fear, determination, and maybe stupidity, I ventured out into the woods in search of them. My one week old self was so curious, and eventually wandered into an old-ish looking hut. I sniffed around, and, finding nothing familiar, turned for the door. It was there that I met one of my best friends, Noah. At the time, I didn't know him, and was nearly scared out of my fur! I cried out, but after a long look at me, with a strange magical look in his eyes, he let me go through the door frame. And MAN, did I run for my life. I sprinted as fast as my little legs would carry me, and didn't look back until a long while later. While concentrating on the ground, I didn't notice the looming figure, and ran head on into them. My good friend, Pie, was almost as shocked as me. She asked me some questions, which I answered nervously. Then I told her where I needed to be, or else I would've been toast. She pointed me on my way, which I am still ever grateful for. Back at the royal palace was none other than the king and queen. They still won't let me live it down, but honestly, some of my best friends were made on that very day alone."
