Baltic Winters Sled Dog Association: Rescue Round Up

This gal was part of a breeding facility who took bad care of her and the other pups. Sadly, the others died from sickness and their living conditions, but we rescued her just in time, but she has a small respiratory problem that will go away with time and fresh, clean air.

Task 1 - Welcoming your new dog home - Complete
I browsed the Kennels and sighed. This was my 5th time over and still nothing. I paced yet another round. Nothing really stood out. One of the workers came up to me. "Ey, if you need anything im going to be taking care of some of our new members! Just come find me." She waled out incredibly fast. I eyed her as she passed the corner. As I continued my search, I saw a Husky with ice blue eyes. I stopped and looked at the card. "Moonshine, eh? How'd they get that name?" I stared into her eyes, what an interesting dog. I wandered off to find the owner. I took off in a brisk running jog. After rounding the corner I found her. "Hey!, Hey!" I said almost out of breath from running. "I found one! Her name's Moonshine!" She looked at me. I lead her to the cage. 'She was found in a terrible breeding facility. She doesn't trust anyone. I looked at her. "Well, no matter. She is one heck of a beaut. I'll take her!" "Ok... if you say so!" She lead Moonshine out of the cage and put her in a pen in the front. "Here, you just need to fill out these papers." She handed me a few papers on a clip board. I filled them out and handed her them back. After buying all the supplies I needed, we packed into my car and drove off.
I brought her home. What a pretty girl! She looked at me the whole way, her ice blue eyes like little laser beams. Apon reaching home, she ran to the other side of the house. I walked up to her, and patted her on the head. She was outstandingly soft. I put some food down, a lot of food. She scarfed it down. I made her a bed, got her plenty of toys, and bought food and water... which I found ot to be a bad idea...

Task 2 - Bonding -Complete
I woke up to Moona feasting. She had ripped the bag of food I had on the floor open. I sighed. At least she was eating. I walked over to her, and she jumped away. "Well... What do we have here?" I started to clean up the food, but she came over to eat it out of my hand. It tickled and I laughed. She ran away. "Oh darling! Im so sorry!" I tried to walk up to her, but she ran under the table. "Well, talk about scaredy dog!" She looked at me with no humor in her eyes. I set more food out. She ate it, but left a good bit in the bowl. I grabbed a bag of treats from the nearest cabinet and presented them to her. She tried to eat them, but missed completely. Both treats and bag fell on the floor I walked over to her with more treats in my hand. This time she didnt miss. I guessed she meant to miss. I Shrugged it off.
Task 3 - Gaining Confidence - Complete
After bonding with her, I decided she needed some air. I bought her a leash and a cute blue collar with a yellow bowtie. We walked around the yard first, so she knew what it was like. Then we waked around the block. I walked her longer each day, and some days we walked all the way to the pet store. Finally I decided she needed to bond with some other dogs. We walked back to the dog park. Me and her looked through the fence first. She backed away, I guessed she was afraid of the other dogs.

Task 4 - Training - Incomplete/Complete
She did good on the ride to training, but she still stared at me. I didnt care much, but her eyes stood out from her dark coat.

good afternoon everyone! I apologize for the delay on this adopt.

due to a numbering error, this dog is now #62 instead of #72!

since the tasks had never been completed for this baby, as accordance with the rescue round up rules, they will be rehomed.

with baltic huskies being reopened, I have spoke to CS oekaki staff about these competitions and what to do with them! all unjudged dogs will be transferred over to new lines, and their competitions extended! this being said:

this dog is being temporarily revoked and placed on hold so that they can be transferred for free to the new lines. anyone who was entered in a competition for this dog will still be honored and have their forms automatically counted in the new competition, and will be welcome to edit+add to their forms if they wish!

for dogs that have competitions that will be impossible to judge by someone else other than the artist (such as a guess the genotype), these competitions will be converted into raffles so that everyone who entered will get a chance.
